I hate when an author hoodwinks you into a series. The first book will be really good but, the rest of them not so much. Gangsta Lovin' falls into the not so much category. As with the previous books, the characters meet and, after a brief conflict, they instantly fall in love. The problem here is, the insta love is not working for these characters. It's just not believable. I didn't sense any chemistry (sexual or otherwise) between Gianna and Saint. Their relationship seemed manufactured. I just wasn't feeling them as a couple. Even them bringing peace between the Prophets and Monarchs seemed fake. I think I'm going to press pause on this series and revisit it at a later date.
I am loving Ganton Hills!! I really enjoyed this one.... Gi was definitely giving Savion a run for his money at first 😂 she was on his neck bad and I was cracking up! I lovvvved the way their relationship formed. I honestly felt all of this could've been avoided if King didn't just basically forget about Savion after what happened to prophet. King definitely owed savion at least a conversation... I can't wait to dive even further into Ganton Hills! I love it here!
Loved the dual narration, the FMC Gianna found herself in a situation where she is kidnapped my rival gang leader Savian Saint. Forced proximity quickly turned into sexual attraction turned into feelings. All good things must come to an end when time came for Gianna to return home with the promise of peace between the two gangs. Quick novella and loved the narration
So good! I loved Saint and Gianna this was a hood take on Romeo and Juliet and I was here for all of it. Savion is bae and Gianna fave as good as she got. Great read.
THESE TWO DEFIED THE ODDS WITH THEIR INSTA-LOVE STORY. SAVION SAINT KNEW THE HELP STORM HE STARTED WHEN HE SNATCHED UP KINGS BABY GIRL. DESPITE THE CONSEQUENCES HE KNEW HE’D FACE HER FELL HARD FOR GIANNA AND REFUSED TO LET HER GO. I’M GLAD THAT THROUGH THEIR CONNECTION HE WAS ABLE TO GET THE ANSWERS HE’S BEEN LONGING FOR. BRIDGES WERE MENDED, LOVE BLOOMED AND A NEW GENERATION WAS CREATED.
I love a good kidnapping, but this one left me wanting more….more tension, more build up, more something! I get it’s a novella, but their connection seemed so rushed.
This was an immersive reading experience and the duet narration saved the day! Wesleigh was top tier as always and Sharif Stevens brought his “A” game! This was my first experience with his narration and all I can say is WHEW!!!
Book 3 in the series. Story of forbidden love. They both had the same type of angry energy towards each other although there was something there. Wasn’t my fav out the series so far.
So this might not have been my favorite out of the three books that ever so far but it's so really like the story... It really gave me romeo and juliet but they live and unhappily ever after with the baby at the end. Saint and gianna story was too cute especially the last chapter. My favorite still Olive and oak which is the 1st book, But I enjoyed my time spent with saint and gianna.
Who would have thought that going to a club that you were suppose to be at for 30 mins, would lead to you being snatched by someone who was suppose to be the enemy. Baby Savion and Gianna wasn’t ever suppose to be in any capacity. Savion was dubbed the enemy and she was the princess to The Monarch’s. Except everything changes in the blink of an eye.
Savion taking Gianna was under the impression she set him except for Gianna was just out with her friends and shyt hit the fan. Gianna being the princess to The Monarchs and Savion being the prince to The Prophets only made things tricky. Who would have thought once they got past the anger and other emotions that they both wanted the same thing. Peace & a truce. Except they got so much more than they bargained for. A love grows and forms and I mean fast and hard. This story showed how 2 people moved based on things and circumstances they were given without forming their own destiny. 5 outta 5!
This 3rd addition to the Ganton Hills series follows Savion Saint and Gianna, gang royalty from the two feuding gangs in Ganton Hills. When Gianna attends a party of an opposing gang, she is seen by Savion Saint, a leader of the gang and he kidnaps her to finally find out from her family the truth of his father’s murder and the role of their gang in it.
Admittedly, I preferred this to book 2, but I think even though this enemies-to-lovers style romance was entertaining, the world building is not great and so I was a little lost sometimes. Savion’s motivations suddenly switched after the first “encounter” and he didn’t even acknowledge this switch but rather made it seem like he had been on the same lane all along. I found his characterization sort of uneven and pretty misogynistic, even though Gianna’s was pretty on point. Indeed, I wish we had gotten to know more about Gianna- what did she study, what did she want - other than getting out of her father’s house, what were her plans? I wish more had been done with the great friendships built in this book as supporting characters after the beginning- I think it would have made this richer and more realistic. It was a quick and enjoyable read but it didn’t feel realistic to me which is sad because the banter was on point and I think it was building to be a good enemies to lovers romance.
Alright now AP! Got me wanting to take a one way trip to Ganton Hills, now that I've taken your taken your Gangsta 101 classes. 😂 I am so enjoying this series! And the children shall lead..... It took Savion and Gianna meeting to squash this beef, that had been destroying lives for years! Their meeting was already written, and they both were spellbound when their eyes met. You just knew with all that anger and hatred they were spewing toward each other, that passion was beneath it all. I hated that King didn't seek Savion out long ago, to possibly stop some of bloodshed. But, I guess that is how the game is played. Hopefully the truce sticks, but I am here for whatever. Great job! 👍👍👍
Savion Saint is a man okay? Okay! Saint lost his father as a child and he’s the head of a gang but is that what he truly wants?
Gianna on the other hand does not take “no” for an answer but then again who would when they’re grown AF lol. That inability surely put her in the path of Saint who had a plan that was not thought out well.
Once they cross paths who’s to say what happens next? Will it be love? Will it be what causes the gangs to come together? Or will it be something completely different?
One night of being kidnapped takes a turn for both Saint and Gianna as they try to navigate what’s next.
“Gangsta Lovin” was okay. I’d rate this novella three and a half stars. ...I’m detecting a recurring urban fairy-tail theme. Thereafter, there’s still no definitive answer for the rivalry between the gangs. More so, if the 3rd generation of Prophets & Monarch leaders were best friends/brothers, how/where/why/who did the resentment originate between the two gangs …King and or Patricia⁉️🤔
This story was about Saint and Gianna who were born to best friends that were in a gang together. There were some things that happened, that left Saint fatherless, and Gianna basically being hidden away from the world for the most part.
Gianna and Saint meet, and there is an instant connection right away, only thing is, them meeting shouldn't have happened in the first place. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time causes them to end up in a situation where Gianna is basically Kidnapped by Saint.
For a few days they are stuck together, fighting the attraction that they have to one another basically because their relationship would be forbidden anyway.
I will say though, that I didn't care for either of the characters initially, mainly because they both came off entitled to me. That, "my daddy, will do this and that." and then Saint was the "oh you're a spoiled brat, and I'm gonna call you that even though I'm a lowkey asshole," was kind getting old to me lol. But once they finally decided to act right and st0p fighting the inevitable , I found them quite enjoyable!
The way that this book ended was so fuckin cute, Saint knew he had to take that L, and when he did and just moved on with it, I was proud of him lol. That's big bro right there.
Anyway, it's definitely worth the read, and I'm sure that you'll enjoy it too!
I was in the mood for a quick, straight-to-the-point novella—and this one definitely delivered on that. Gangsta Lovin’ is a fast-paced, drama-filled listen that had just enough spice and suspense to keep me engaged all the way through.
The chemistry between the characters was intense, and the story moved quickly, which I appreciated. However, I found myself wanting a bit more closure. I wish we had found out who actually killed the father, and there were a few unanswered questions—like what happened to the person responsible and where Saint’s mom disappeared to. A little more detail would’ve rounded it out nicely.
That said, if you’re looking for a short, engaging story you can finish in a single sitting, this one’s worth the listen!
MR. SAVION SAINT! Whewwww! That man is pressure & Princess Gianna fell FAST FOR THAT MAN! The gangsta Romeo & Juliet ! I’m happy to get more information on King because he’s been such a character that has been peaking my curiosity since Olive & Oak. His daughter got caught up with Savion & that’s only because that man was applying pressure to her. How could she resist?!?! I would have been folded like a lawn chair ! Their souls knew they needed each other, and it was their bonding that changed MAJOR things. One thing Aubree gonna do is write a MMC that get you caught up & Savion was exceptional! With everything that was going on, the ending I was predicting with one detail came full circle and I LOVED THAT!
Ok now this book I enjoyed. I got some of the history of the prophets and monarchs, found out who prophet was, what started the beef, and how it continued on in the new generation. Now this kumbaya, come to Jesus, peace, or whatever you want to call it was actually initiated by the right ones. In the last book the idea of that Cinderella girl making a truce and neutral territory was not believable. I liked Savion and I was cool with Gianna. She wasn’t a complete brat. He wasn’t a complete butthole. They worked. I’m now wondering what’s up with Dom and Kaz love lifes
Rating 3.75 ⭐️ This story had drama, danger and just the right amount of expected romance. When gang ties and long-standing beefs get in the way, love finds a way to sneak in even if it starts with a kidnapping.
Saint and Gianna’s story was fated from the start. Their fathers once best friends turned enemies (allegedly) laid the foundation for a union neither of them saw coming. Saint and Gianna tried to play hard but they couldn't deny that pull a hold on both of them from the jump. Their connection was fiery and inevitable.
If you love your romance with a little street edge and a lot of heart, this one delivers.

Savion had no business being so into Gianna after she was causing that man’s blood pressure to rise!! But gahhhhdamnnnn that third leg with the hook gone do it EVERY. TIME!!!! You know what sis, that’s that ACT RIGHT, so I completely understand you going cookooo for coco puffs and Captain Hook!! I would’ve fixed my attitude too!! Hook hit all the right spots sis was seeing stars, passin out & forgot to tell him WRAP IT UPPPPPPPP. His swimmers fertilized that egg QUICK!!!! Idk if I can even say “a wonderful hood love story” cause everyone rich as hellllllll, it was just a whole lotta gangsta lovin frfr. Loved this book REAL BAD!! 👏🏽👏🏽
Who would have ever thought that Savion Saint and Gianna Lewis would get together to be a couple? Savion’s Father (Prophet) was the one who spoke on it. Although the Monarch’s (Gianna’s Father gang) and the Prophets (Savion’s gang) didn’t see eye to eye, it was Gianna and Savion breaking the feud and getting both gangs to be back as 1. Honestly Gianna is the level headed one out of King and Savion so she the perfect person to get both men to respect one another and bring their gangs back together. Great read!
I can say I enjoyed the fact that a common ground was found in ending the war between two rival gangs. I never understood fighting over turf that the government owned or even a certain color. It always brings me back to Insecure where the neighbor was clearly in a certain gang and could never say words that began with a C. They were always replaced with a B. Funniest/stupidest thing ever…sort of the way things were in this book. Regardless the book and story that came of it was worth the read.
Gianna and Saint were destined to be together and their chance meeting happened at a place that she had absolutely no business being at. Although their relationship was fast and heavy, they survived it and stopped a longtime feud in the process. Loving the couples of Ganton Hills.
I didn’t know that being kidnapped could lead to falling in love. These gangsta royals were meant to be together and make everything and everyone better.
Gianna is stubborn 101 but Saint is prepared for all with his own brand of wearing her down.
The feud wasnt smart anyway, it was senseless and a lot of lives could have been saved had King stepped up years ago. Unfortunately it took the their children to make the difference and im not mad about it, they were hilarious. The spice was 🔥, and I hope Kaz and Dom get story.
I loved this novella. This trope is not new but AP did a great job of telling a story that was sexy, sweet and sassy with a heartwarming end. Loved that it was not just a love story but one that brought peace as well. Great job!
