To protect the omega, three feral wolves must guard and shield her from the dangers of the Arctic. But can they learn to work together?

This is the first book in the Feral Wolves of the Arctic series.

The Omega
I was the most prized omega of the southern wolf packs.
Banished to the Arctic, when I refused to mate my alpha.
Sent to live among the savage and wild ferals.
Now every feral alpha I meet wants me for his own.
I’m trying to deny the imprints, but it’s impossible not to want them back.
I long for all of them equally. I want them all to claim me.
Can I learn how to unify these wolves, before they tear us apart?

Feral Wolves
It is safer to be alone. It is safer not to have a mate
In the Arctic, a feral wolf can trust no one.
But when the omega came into our lives the only thing that mattered was her.
Her survival. Her happiness. Her desires.
But how can we learn to share our claim to the omega?
How can we learn to live in a pack when our nature is to be feral?
Can we really keep her safe and protected?
Feral wolves aren’t the only shifters running wild up North ...

Note: Intended for readers 18+ only due to mature themes and content. Reverse harem, shifter romance with HEA. All books in the Feral Wolves of the Arctic series can be read as a standalone - but - better enjoyed when read in its intended series order!

Sophie was an Omega who was being forced to mate with her pack Alpha. But she was exiled to be a Feral when she refused to mate with him. Other packs were no help as well because her previous Alpha threatened them. After encountering a bear shifter, she stumbled upon Ryker's cave. He imprinted her. Then came an injured Marco. He did the same. And so did Burton. The three Alphas accepted each other and formed a pack. A Feral pack? Then four betas joined their pack. Sophie got kidnapped by the bear shifters and rescued by her Alphas. Gave birth to their children. The End.

There's so many unnecessary plot and conversation in this book that really annoyed me. Like Ryker meeting Kate or Sophie going to another Alpha for help and offering the same thing she refused to do in the first place with her previous Alpha. Okay, the characters in this book had absolutely zero chemistry. It was so frustrating! The bear shifters and the wolf shifters shouldn't be in the same book. There's no 'mate' concept or 'marking' btw. Whomever picked this book up or about to pick it up because you found the concept interesting, I'm firmly telling ya that there was nothing interesting inside. I'm glad it was a short story. Because I don't think I would've been able to tolerate it any longer without DNF-ing this book. And I can't believe that the author actually continued a second book after this. The writing style was not good. The steamy scenes seemed like written by a thirteen years old. The plot was dumb and boring AF! Excuse my harshness. 🙄 But I'm pissed at myself for picking this book up. Ughh!

She’s the mate of three alphas! Sophie is twenty one and has to become the alphas mate. But she hates Josh and on the day she is supposed to submit to him, she is able to resist him and attacks him. Josh declares she is feral and throws her out of the pack forcing her to live in the wild. But she has never been taught to fend for herself and she’ll die. Sophie stumbles into a cave and meets Ryker, a wild wolf shifter. He imprints on her and now they are together. But soon they come across an injured wild alpha wolf shifter named Marco and he imprints on Sophie as well. Their family is growing and soon another joins. For three alphas who didn’t want to be in a pack they are growing their own. But can four wolves defend themselves against the bear shifter in the area? They need a larger pack to take on the bears.

So the truth is, I don't think Wilder can really write romance. She can't write steam; she can't write sex; and she can't really write relationships. So as a hard core romance reader, why do I continue to pick up her books? Despite her weaknesses, Wilder has some really great ideas. And that's why I keep coming back for more.

I've read so many shifter romances over the years, and it's hard to find plots that are new, and the thing about Wilder is that I always know the plot will be something I haven't read before. In some cases, the story is enough that I don't care about the missing heat and romance, and in some cases, it's not. This book unfortunately fell into the latter category for me.

The story started strong enough. I liked the idea of packs essentially being compelled to follow their Alpha's orders, and a "weak" omega being the first one capable of resisting, forcing her out of the pack. I liked the concept of the "feral" wolves that lived outside packs, and the intense rivalry with the bears.

Unfortunately, all the characters in the story were just so bland and uninteresting that I just didn't care about anything that happened. There was absolutely no point in having a trio of alphas. They were all essentially the same, undeveloped character, and none of them had any interaction with Sophie beyond having really boring sex with her. And Sophie stopped having a personality after she met Ryker and they banged the first time. She essentially turned into a sex receptacle for the rest of the story.

I also felt the story was a bit too "rustic". Wanting to live in cave by choice instead of necessity? Nah.

All the time spent talking about how they scout and catch food and light fires? Boring and unnecessary.

Adding in the group of betas for absolutely no reason other than to talk more about pack hierarchy that I don't care anything about? Nope, not interested.

And Sophie giving birth to nine cubs?! Absolutely ridiculous.

There was potential here, but the parts that needed to be developed more were neglected and too much arbitrary stuff was included that didn't help the story at all.

Definitely not a romance, and unfortunately, not a super interesting story either.

Boring

Very disappointing. It's more of sex with three men than a shifter story. It's not worth the read. So disappointed

🐺🐺ONE THRILLING WILD RIDE🐺🐺
Holy howling hell! Wilder hits the ground running, dropping the bomb and lowering the boom with this delectably composed debacle, delivering some harsh lessons, cunning tactics and relentless drive, hooking you from the start and reeling you in for the duration, wrapping this baby up sleek shiny and tight. Observing the arduous struggles and challenging triumphs, traversing the dangerous twists and startling turns, dissolved limitations are amplified and explored, showcasing the soaring ups and agonizing downs, inspiring in it's simplicity and beautiful in it's depth, melding this jewel together seamlessly. The attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity, showcasing explosive emotions and undeniable affections, drawing our characters closer, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere, along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and vivid descriptions creating an elaborate backdrop that makes the storyline explode. Fantastic job Wilder, thanks for sharing this jewel with us.

Different types of packs are explained in the course of this book. Sophie is an Omega and her original pack is run by a horrible, power hungry alpha. As an Omega, she is expected to give her Alpha a lot of babies and it doesn't matter if she and the Alpha have imprinted on each other or not - he will claim her anyway. As we learn in the course of the book, in the old times Omegas were cherished and could imprint on more than one Alpha.

Sophie is banished when she not only refuses to mate her Alpha but also strikes him. He makes sure she is not welcome in any other pack in the region. She heads north and is almost starving when she meets up with the first of the Alphas that will become hers. The path that brings the feral wolves into a pack with their own rules was interesting and full of hope seeing how a pack should run. The best part of the story was the connections between the pack members. Their story will continue and I am afraid I may not like the sequel as well. Although I was happy with the way this book ended, it appears the story will carry on for a few more books.

I am still wondering what happened to Kate who Ryker came upon before he met Sophie. The character was introduced and was never seen again. Perhaps that will be answered in the future.

An epic new wolf shifter series

I absolutely loved reading this book. I just couldn’t put it down until I had reached the very last page, even then I was still left wanting more. Like all of her series, J.L. Wilder has brought forward another fantastic wolf shifter series where those wolves who couldn’t conform to the pack rules left their packs and ventured out on their own. Sophie was supposed to marry or be mated to the alpha of her pack, but she couldn’t stand him and was able to say no to the alpha of her pack. He rejected her as a feral wolf and was set free to either live or die on her own.

Sophie is almost starving to death because she has not been taught how to fend for herself when she meets up with Ryker. Sophie imprints on Ryker who is an alpha, then when Marco & Burton who are also feral alphas show up in the cave they have made their home, she imprints on them as well. Like the old time packs from their history, the omega is the one who has the power while her alpha’s are there to love her, protect her and ensure that she is happy at all times.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.

I liked the themes but overall it’s disjointed

So I will preface this and say I like romance books and various other books but when I read romance books I have two criteria That should be met or atleast one of the two.

1. Great story line (believable in the sense the story is built up to it)
2. The “intimate” scenes need to be steamy and fun

This book fell short on both parts. The story line itself had great potential to be exciting but details, emotions and character building were nonexistent. Also how the characters were written was a little strange to me we have different character perspectives throughout but it was written in third person and then first and it some times got a little disjointed and confusing.

The intimate scenes were just sad to me no foreplay just straight to business and it seemed so business like it was just odd.

So I gave it two stars because the beginning chapters showed so much promise and the story line had potential but this one fell flat.

💢If you love Action-packed this book is for you. It was sad at first but it got a lot better. I loved it. A Must Read!
🔹️Three Alphas and One Omega life will be interesting.
🔹️Sophie is an Omega and her Alpha wants to have it his way, instead she disgraces him. He can’t live with that, so he kicks her out of the pack. Sophie takes off running, she knows she can’t survive she’s never been on their own before. Starving to death is not how she wanted her life to end then she walks right into the first one and he sees that he must save her.
☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.

Feral Wolves

Sophie is being prepared for the meeting ritual with the pack Alpha. She is fearful and doesn't like the Alpha. When he tries to start the ritual she backs away from him. This is something unheard of for an omega to back away. She's kicked out of the pack and decided to try to go to another pack. But hey old pack Alpha makes it hard for her to join another pack. She turns up North and meets an Alpha named Ryker. Then she meets Marco and finally Brandon. Three alphas and an omega form a new pack. They live the old ways. Then the bears intrude on their life. Now their pack must face then down or be destroyed.
Fantastic story that will pull you in to the lives of these remarkable characters and the lives that coupon.

I really enjoyed this book. Sophie is a very strong omega, which normally you don’t think of any omega is being strong. Yet she finds a way to bring three feral wolves together. On constant watch for bears, separately they have barely escaped being hunted by bears. But together they have formed their own pack. The book follows their story of three strong Alphas, each having their own strengths, and together they learn to live and love. Now thanks to Sophie they make room for more wolves in their pack, wolves out on their own but together. Now the question is can they all live together in peace? But more importantly can they survive the Bears that are hunting them.? I really enjoyed the story and the ending was perfect.

I haven't read much omega PNRs, but I found this one very enlightening and satisfying. More realistic in that each move of the plot line was reasonable and believable. I found Sophie's pack (after all, she's the holding force of her three alpha wolves plus beta wolves), how it assembled itself, a great group to read about. Sure, the main characters are Sophie and her alphas, but I appreciate the author's efforts to include the betas as much as possible. I would hope to see more about Cam and Petra. Cam reminds me of a spiritual individual who would make a great shaman for the group.

Definitely worth the read. A real slice-of-life in how the pack was constructed. I would love to see sequels, but who knows?

Ok, not great

The book was neither good or bad, a lone Beta collects Alphas to create a pack, interesting in the wolf shifter mythos. I was good til she became pregnant. 9 months in human form, carrying a litter. In most books, they may have triplets, which is possible to carry. But the number she had, in a cave, in human form...I call out a foul. She would have been huge, like barely functioning but her body needed sex...please. she should have been so miserable at the point of strain with the supposed number of babies inside. Not sure where author going with series, but, with 1 omega, 3 alphas, 4 betas, and 9 babies that cave better be like a block big to accommodate them

I love this authors paranormal romance she is a real artist at drawing you into the world of the shifters she writes about Her characters are the things that make her stories and this latest start to a series is no exception

Sophie a omega is supposed top mate with her packs alpha but she rejects him this leads to her pack casting her out and banishing her to the Arctic where the feral s are. Once there she meets Ryker, Marco and Burton each is a alpha in his own right and a loner at heart but to keep Sophie safe they will band together Can they find a way to exist together You will have to read to see

This was a short, very well-written story by one of my favorite authors, J.L. Wilder. This book 2 in the Feral Wolves of the Arctic Book Series was intriguing as it has well-thought out scenes and storyline. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This story has the following: intrigue, twists & turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I am always on the lookout for books by this author.

I am not a big shifter reader, but this one caught my eye. I definitely enjoyed it though and liked all three of the Alpha's ... I wasn't sure how that was going to work out but it did and gave some back ground on each of them. I enjoyed Sophie, the omega. It began with her on her imprinting day, it got right to the point for sure and she wasn't interested in the Alpha in her pack even though it had been planned for years. I did find it unusual that being raised in the pack, she didn't really understand how imprinting worked. I would recommend this book for sure. Its a quick sweet, heat read. It has a good story that builds all through the book. Sherrie

New Beginning

You will get a great cast of characters in this book so you won't want to out it down.

First off Sophie will play the prime character that everyone will act around.

Ryker is the first make lead strong 💪dominant leader.

Marco is a more inclusive dominant leader. He will ask before making a demand.

Burton is young and still learning his powers. He can be impetuous, caring and dangerous when something he loves is in danger.

Their meeting is in the hand of fate. Pick up this book an enjoy the ride.

*Spoilers Ahead*

An awesome RH! Omega thrown outta her pack because she disobeys her Alpha's command. She attempts to join another pack, yet is refused because the Alpha has called and told them only one side of the story. For fear and safety of his pack he denies entrance into pack territory/house. Only to run into an Alpha out in the wilds who imprints on her. He is the first of three that end up imprinting on her. J.L has once again taken us on an adventure of how an Omega overcomes adversity to find love and happiness.

Sophia is an omega in a wolf pack and the alpha wants her…but she manages to elude him and is kicked out of the pack. Now, on her own and wandering around, she comes across three separate males who all imprint on her. The bears are on the loose as well and in the same territory. Can the four make a solid pack? What about when more wolves join the fray? Can they fight against the bears to keep their home? What about when Sophie lets them in on a huge surprise? This is book one of a brand-new series you will not want to miss. I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

This was a nice change of pace, considering I've never read a reverse-harem style romance before. Unfortunately I ended up DNF'ing a little after halfway through. In the end I didn't have much attachment to the characters or story to continue. The fact that they lived in a cave in the woods didn't really work for me either, werewolves or no werewolves lol.

However, I think this story will appeal to a lot of readers. The men treat the female protagonist like a queen and focus all of their efforts on protecting her.

Fast moving storyline which grabs you at the start and won’t let go. I enjoyed how this author created a new pack from one act of kindness. Sophie has to struggle on her own when her pack kicks her out. Ryker, Marco and Burton are all alphas who are pulled together by Sophie. This book allows the reader to understand the pack mentality created by this impressive author. I look forward to reading more in this intriguing series.

Great story about about an omega who gets tossed from her pack for refusing the Alpha and is found by a feral alpha wolf (which really just means packless and wandering). He imprints on her and they are soon joined by two more alphas who also imprint. They come across four betas who join them to form a loose pack. When trouble comes for them in the shape of bear shifters they must work together if they are to survive.

Sophie is kicked out of her pack so she ends up in the Article. Cold, starving, she meets Ryker and she then meets Burton and Marco a different kind of pack. This is a great book that has struggles in it with the new pack and it shows how they deal with it. It is well written, I loved the characters, the descriptions are very good, it’s steamy, hot chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed a free advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.

Feral Wolves

J.L.Wilder did a good job with this story about an omega who was kicked out of her pack because she wanted nothing to do with her Alpha. He had the never
Nerve to call her feral because of it. She tried to join another, but he made it known that if anyone took her in they would be going to war for it. She wandered before finding her new Alphas and they would protect her with their lives. In the end they all had their HEA. Worth getting and reading.

Feral wolves

Sophie is an omega. She refuses her cruel alpha and he banishes her. She's forced to run to the north to fend for herself. She's starving when Ryker sees her, they imprint. Then they find another alpha and they imprint as well, finally a third imprint and they find some betas and as pack is formed. The threat of bears is very real. The story was really good! Only thing would have made it better would have been the Alphas knotting their omega.

This is an interesting shifter story with strong characters and tons of steam. The author brings drama and romance and paints her scenes perfectly. She gives them a hot chemistry and shows how they created their own pack. It's an intriguing story ,is well written and is another great read by J L Wilder.

Sophie, an omega, rejects the alpha of her pack. She is then banished and outcast from her pack and sent to the Arctic where the ferals are. While there she meets alphas, Ryker, Marco and Burton. Soon they are all brought together by Sophie and form a pack/bond. An exciting new start to this series and one I truly loved.
