Ack, this short story left a bad taste in my mouth...

Ethan Parker has been obsessed with Pamela James for 4 years, but she's his business partner's fiancée and isn't interested in him. In fact, she's a bit afraid of him - with good reason, I might add. He's been quietly waiting for her to realize what a loser her fiancé is, but when the invitation to their wedding arrives, Ethan decides that it's time he took drastic measures to win Pam.

So what does he do? He blackmails his business partner, who happens to owe him a quarter of a million dollars, and "buys" himself a date with Pam. Obviously, she isn't happy to be used as payment for his lousy fiancé's debt and dumps the idiot. But she goes on the damn date with Ethan, because she really needs him to wipe her ex-fiancé's debt clean. Needless to say, things get very hot and heavy on Ethan and Pam's date... But what will happen after the night is over? There's no doubt that Ethan loves Pam, but how does she feel about him?

Ugh, I didn't like anything in this story. Ethan was a sleazy blackmailer - he could deny it until he was red on the face, but I wouldn't buy it - and Pam just went along with it like a puppet. As for her suddenly realizing that she "had feelings" for him in the end, it was completely unbelievable. She didn't know him, a fact that even he acknowledged at one point, so how could she "have feelings" for him? Sex with Ethan was great, I give her that, but Pam didn't convince me that he was more than a rebound guy for her. Not that I cared, because Ethan didn't deserve better.

Overall: unlikable hero + unsympathetic heroine + unappealing plot = unpleasant read.

legal, legal

essa trope he falls first sempre me pega de jeito rs

Good Points:
I liked the plot.

The main male character wasn't your perfect man.
Too bad she didn't write bait more about that.

It was easy to read.

I didn't stop till I had finished it.

Bad Points:

Too short.

Her descriptions when writing about sex are repetitive.
I know as I just finished another of her short stories.

Some follow up about what happened to the other main character would have been nice, as both of the other main characters had legal agreements with him.

The Book Summary:

Sometimes...a man has to take matters into his own hands.

Four years ago, Pamela James caught Ethan's eye and he knew he had to have her.
There were just a few obstacles. She was involved...very involved.
And she seemed scared of him.

Now she's engaged to his business partner and Ethan knows the man can't make her happy, not to mention that the guy is playing fast and loose with her club.
Now, with her wedding getting ever closer, Ethan is going to put it all on the line.

He's the right man for her. All he has to do is make her see that.
