The third volume of the the children’s graphic novel series of friendship stories for emerging readers, featuring three friends (a bunny, a worm, and a frog) who get into conflicts and adventures driven by their very different personalities.
Blue, Barry, and Pancakes are best friends! They love funky music, penguins that wear hats, and going on BIG adventures!
One day, Barry convinces Blue and Pancakes to enter an epic sundae-making contest. Blue and Pancakes just want to have fun, but Barry is in it to WIN IT. He knows exactly how he’s going to get the trophy, but it’s going to be dangerous. It’ll take sacrifice. He might even lose his pals along the way…
Like all friends, Blue, Barry, and Pancakes can make mistakes... but at the end of the day, they always have each other’s backs. And tops, and sides, and fronts, too!
In this third installment we have the three friends entering a sundae-making contest. Barry (the frog) has a trophy room with no trophies! In order to correct this, the three friends enter a sundae-making contest but quickly discover they need to make something really special to win. We see the friends go on a journey to get the best chocolate ice cream. This is a well-written, funny easy graphic novel series. You don't need to read the first two books to enjoy this one but I recommend reading them anyway because they're fun, too! Bright, fun art accompanies the easy-to-read text. This is a perfect beginning graphic novel. The story is so cute. My nephew will flip over it, and as a struggling reader, it is perfect for where he is at. Plus I think Pancake will be one of his new favorite characters. I love how Blue (the worm) is the studious one, Barry is the middle child, and Pancakes is the crazy friend who wants to do it all and take you with them.
This book was so good the first book was better my fav part was them arriving to mount Chico cream so no spoilers but so good agian it’s about building. and getting lives and having good friendships and getting tired of each other if u love books about adventures Friends and living each other but I don’t like the but the first ones still a little better 4.5
So much fun! This one in the series did not disappoint. Fun art, fun story and fun friend adventure. Looking forward to reading more of their adventures!
It was just ok, I liked the other ones better. First: blue found out there was a sundae contest. Barry really wanted to win because his trophy room was empty. Next: Barry had an idea to go to mount Choco to get the best ice cream in the world. Blue and pancake were freaking out! Then: they went and needed to cross a big lake, go on a boat, into a cave and many more adventures. Last: they didn't win but they ate the chocolate and made Barry a picture room of their adventure.
