very informative! There were a lot of strategies and processes I was not familiar with until reading this book. It has definitely given me a lot to think about and follow up with inside my company about our daily supply chain practices.

This very easy to read book describes many important facets of Supply Chain Management for the general reader. I was quite surprised at how informative it was, and was unlike some other logistics books I have read which were either too prescriptive or too wordy.

Of course, the essay styles used in this book also has its drawbacks, unlike a book that labels and lists each Best Practice with a number so that the reader can then employ Best Practice #5 or such. This type of presentation is usually reserved for textbooks, and do have its place. I usually prefer the textbook/reference book style of formatting, as it is easier to lookup a particular topic in future. However, Blanchard's arrangement is not bad either, and the fact that all his chapters are short and sharp are extremely valuable to professionals who are short of time.

I have read many books on Supply Chain Management and logistics, and yet I was still able to learn new things about the logistics industry in every chapter in Blanchard's book. This book is truly excellent.

A very practical book you can say.Easy to read but beginners in supply chain field may not able to grasp a very deep, detailed or structured understanding of Supply Chain through it. It's better to first acquire some understanding and experience around supply chain to effectively connect with author's findings and views.
