I’m absolutely in love with this series, I’ve been following since the first book even though this is my first time writing a review and from the start I fell in love with all the fun characters and their delightful banter. I love having Adara as a fiery yet comical protagonist and I love watching how the relationships in this series change and develop through the courses of the book (even if that hurts me at times) Rather than staying stagnant, the relationship dynamics feel like they’re constantly changing with circumstance and with how each individual character changes, much like real life. SPOILER ALERT * Jamad and Avner are a PERFECT example of this. Once best friends, once faced with the challenge of choosing the most optimal solution for survival or upkeeping one’s own morals, their friendship cracks. On a lighter note, I also love so many of the pairings and friendships. Calder and Adara are my favorite pairing followed by Kiki and Eliana. The plot also always keeps me on edge. The only thing I’d say is that the books are definitely long, but I personally find it all the more enjoyable because of it. If you prefer shorter books though it may not be up your alley. If you’re down for it though, it’s totally worth it. I can’t wait till the next one comes out !! On the edge of my seat. There’s so much more I could say but in the end I just absolutely love this series <3

THIS. BOOK.

I started off thinking “hey, i love this world” and ended with “this author has mostly killed me here.” 😵 My goodness. The evil power Kirsten has. To me though, this is the best book so far in this series.

I loved the plot and how it just threw you into everything. I loved some specific scenes (if you know, you know): the glasses, the pool, the cupboard, the “metal” school dance, the mind-readers every scene to be fair. There are plenty really but these properly are my favourites. Besides the ending - but i have a love/hate relationship with that one.

Calder remains my pixie prince. Colton is becoming a quick favourite and I hope to see more of him and his quirks. Ackley is forever adorable. Adara is queen. Tray is gaining respect in this corner. Kiki too...

THAT ENDING. I want the next book. Immediately. I am impatient and honestly cannot wait! I need to know what happens with the plots and the ships 😉

Overall 5 stars. There’s no escaping the facts.

Tension is rising fast in The Affinity's third novel! Everything which kept me hooked in the first two books (and the novellas), lured me back into the adventures story, which doesn't fail to surprise me at every page I turn. And just when you think a character can't reach another level of depth, there's another surprise waiting just around the corner.

Okay, I know that I'm a little biased because I've been reading and honouring Kristen's work for some years now, but honestly there's isn't a bad thing I can say about this novel. I love how she progresses as a writer as well. Keeping that in mind, I can't wait for the final books of this series! And I'm already fearing the moment there won't be anymore Adara and Calder left.

This is a reread and out of all the books, I remembered the least about this one going into it. I absolutely adored it!

The Calder/Adara scenes are the best in the series so far. I was absolutely living for their interactions. Seeing Adara outside of prison and actually using her Affinity made me feel like a proud mom.

There's a little less jumping around in this book, so if you struggle trying to keep up in Nerve, this will be easier for you to follow along.

Not once did I find myself bored or tired while reading this book. It kept me fully entranced and on the edge of my seat the whole time. I don't know how Kirsten does it, but each book I read quickly becomes my favorite. She's especially talented at keeping me laughing. Despite some of the more serious tones of this book, the author never fails to balance it out with some dark humor. The “laugh out loud till my fiance looks at me like a deranged person” hit a peak in this book.

I'm almost caught up in my reread of this series. I have no idea what happens in Fracture, and with the huge cliffhanger we're left at I'm both uncontrollably excited and completely terrified.
