Hi, I'm a a Birmingham (UK) based based writer, blogger and adventurer. I've had a long and winding road towards becoming a writer...having gathered together a great deal of material from my life and career.
My acceptance of the 'human condition' and my interest in micro-drama is fundamental to my writing: basically, I'm fascinated by people and what really happens rather than the acceptable versions.

I write contemporary fiction and non-fiction.

My writing has a tendency to include social commentary; exploring issues using different genres - mainly very honest commentry on organisations and management in my non-fiction and humour in my non-fiction which centres on the adventures on Franklin Zebb.

I like to hover in the shadows of the most remotely amusing of situations, taking notes whenever I can, crafting tales that I hopes will bring forth a smile, even to the most botoxed of faces.

My last humorous book is 'Being Franklin Zebb', a book telling the story of Franklin's self-imposed exile in a cave, whilst writing 'Odd Friends and Aliens'. Predictably, he attracts a faithful group of followers and curious observers, with whom he shares the remarkable stories of his life, thus far. The story sees Franklin succeeding, more by luck than judgement, in some key themes of social and cultural change of the past thirty plus years and rightfully claiming the title of 'Master of the Almost Believable'. This is a satirical book which draws on naivety and parody whilst it tumbles along!

I also write non-fiction. The lastest of my non-fiction books was 'At Walking Pace' which is a rare look ar the many benefist of walking, from its impact on mental and physical health to its role on creativity or resilience.

I have a book to be published in 2023 called 'At Home with Work' which pragmatically and thoughtfully debates the pros and cons of working from home and provides managers with guidance about managing in this context.

Future non-fiction books will share my unique and honest take on management and leadership in the new world where old ideas of management probably are no longer valid.

I also run a podcast 'The Progress Jury'. This is a small group of people sitting in a bar discussing change.
