FOUR CUTEST SWEETEST FLUFFIEST TWITTING CYBERDATING SMARTEST STARS!
Welcome to the present time retelling of “You’ve got mail!”
DIFFERENCES:
-There is no competition between local book shop and Barnes and Noble store, we had a local deli famous with its signature cheese sandwich versus burger joint that stole deli’s special cheese sandwich recipe and declares the secret recipe belonged to them!
-We don’t have stubborn as hell but charming as well adults like younger version of Tom and chick lit version of Meg! We have overachiever, responsible, competitive, serious, swim team captain PEPPER and smart, witty, sarcastic, technical genius JACK is also responsible, family oriented, hard worker boy who hated to be overshadowed by his popular, leader, charming identical twin brother!
-They don’t send EMAILS! They sent TWITS ! Actually they fight via TWITTER! But they also secretly cyber date on the application Jack designed. And in their normal life, they’re FRENEMIES who don’t stand with each other but unfortunately they sit next to each other at the classes. ( They know the rule about keeping enemy closer!)
-There are lots of PASTRIES, SWEETS,DESERTS on this book which gave me real cravings and threw a 3 am baking party at my kitchen( I’m the worst cook so I woke my husband up to cook for me!) Shame on my sweet tooth!

But the characters met at the coffee shop. Pepper actually has great gift about creating different, tasteful deserts which helped her seduce Jack at the first bite!
SUMMARY:
It’s fluffy, swoony, smart, entertaining, fast pacing, full of memes and popular culture references and social media forms. Sometimes their cyber fight overshadowed the romance part which a little disturbed me but mostly I really enjoyed this debut novel. It made me smile, feel good and have so much fun!!!Such a funny, positive, joyful reading!

Y'all this book was SO GOOD I CAN'T EVEN HANDLE IT. If you enjoy lighthearted, witty YA contemporary, you absolutely NEED to add this to your 2020 TBRs. This book was just so fun and current and sassy while also being just the right amount of serious and I am just so enamored with it. I hesitate to compare it to anything else because it is so very much it's own thing, but I will say that this was like a mix of Jenn Bennett and Emma Mills with extra large dash of humor thrown into the mix and I JUST REALLY REALLY LIKED THIS AND YOU ALL NEED TO READ IT OKAY? OKAY

Tweet Cute delivered a full dose of cuteness. My heart literally figuratively just exploded!!
When fast-food behemoth, Big League Burger, announces a new line of grilled cheese sandwiches, no one is more surprised than twins, Jack and Ethan Campbell.
Their surprise comes not from excitement for grilled cheesiness, but from the fact that one of the specialty sandwiches announced has the exact same ingredients, and name, as a grill cheese they know very well.
It was created by their Grandmother and has been on the menu at their family’s New York City deli for decades.
Shocked and chagrined by the announcement, Jack turns to Twitter to call out BLB for their creative theft.
Little does he know, that one tweet will spark an epic Twitter battle that will take not just NYC, but the world by storm!
Unbeknownst to Jack, at the other end of the Big League Burger Twitter account, is an overachieving classmate of his, Pepper.
Pepper is not native to NYC, having moved there at the start of high school, leaving her hometown of Nashville behind.
Feeling lost and alone in the big city, Pepper throws herself into her studies with an intensity unmatched by most of her peers at the super competitive private school she attends.

There is so much to enjoy. Great friendships, fantastic character growth, witty banter, this book truly brought it all!
Pepper and Jack were both so well developed. The challenges they faced as they completed high school, trying to figure out what they wanted to do with their lives, were really well handled.
Family is a big influence on this story and I thought those elements were so relatable and beautifully written.
I am really impressed with this as a debut novel. The pacing and plot twists were beautifully crafted to keep the reader engaged throughout.

I am 99% sure that this book, in some way, came out of my brain.
Think about it. It contains:
- much discussion of grilled cheese
- characters who in some way do social media as their job
- the most insane desserts you’ve ever heard of
- a New York setting
- a cheesy (get it?) romance
The last two things are not related to my life in any way shape or form, but they are things I enjoy reading about.
And while there was a lot to like about this book (I want to eat everything inside it, for one thing), there was also a lot I was not a fan of.
Like the characters.
Or their families.
Or the romance.
And if you’re thinking “Hey!!! That sounds like almost everything!” well, unfortunately...you would be right.
I did love reading about the food blog Pepper and her sister run, and I did love the concept of this book, and there were MOMENTS I enjoyed, but overall this was a huge bummer for me.
(You may also be thinking, “Hey!!! If you didn’t like this book all that much, why do you think it came out of your brain??” and the answer should be obvious: I am my own worst enemy, and/or I have an evil twin who sits about thinking up book concepts I think I would love and then making them semi-disappointing.)
This book follows Pepper, whose now-divorced parents founded a now-massive fast food chain, and Jack, whose grandmother founded a little deli whose famous grilled cheese recipe was stolen by said fast food chain. Pepper and Jack then get in a Twitter war, except they are also friends who also like each other, and also there’s this app Jack created that involves them anonymously unknowingly talking to each other...it’s a lot.
And it simply didn’t work for me. I didn’t feel the chemistry.
The family drama also got to be too much. Pepper has an older sister (Piper, maybe? I don’t remember but that’s probably not it) who is mad at the whole family for reasons unknown. That reason turns out to be the fact that Pepper - when she was FOURTEEN - moved to New York with her mom...thus causing not-Piper to hate the whole family? Because she didn’t like New York? Wha?
I don’t get it.
All these characters are so DRAMATIC.
Recently there’s been backlash against the idea that adult reviewers can criticize teenage characters’ behavior, and while I’m only 22 and don’t think all my recollections of teenagerdom were mass-deleted from my brain on my 20th birthday, I understand that inclination.
However, EVERYONE in this book had the same level of melodrama - probably the parents most of all. And the end explanations / apologies only made it worse.
PEPPER’S MOM AND JACK’S DAD ARE BAD PEOPLE!!!!
I have had enough yelling, so I will be going off now. To yell about another book, probably.
Bottom line: This was not as Gouda as I expected.
(I’M SORRY. I COULDN’T LET THIS REVIEW END WITHOUT A CHEESE PUN. WHAT AM I, A MUENSTER?)

wow. 2020 really is new year, new decade, new me. because i cant stand pop culture references in my novels, but a book called 'tweet cute' comes along with pop culture galore and suddenly i dont even care?!? i mean, who am i??? lol.
in all fairness, this is super cute. i understand a story focusing on a twitter feud is going to be full of memes and references and relevant internet things, so i cant be too mad about it. if anything, the only thing that really annoyed me was the fact that pepper and jack interact in three different ways (twitter, school social app, and in person) and it just felt like a little too much to me? it adds drama, sure, but i think the story could have better with only two of them.
i also like the present themes of choosing a path that makes you, and not others, happy. as well as family bonds and loyalty. they add a really nice depth component to such a light story.
overall, this is a really fun debut novel. cant wait to see what EL comes up with next!

Pepper is the swim team captain and type A-personality. She's spent the last four years working her butt off at her fancy private school in order to get into a good college.
BUT she has a secret. She's also the heiress of Big League Burger chain and she runs their twitter account.
And then there's Jack - the underachieving twin to one of the most popular kids in the school. He always knows how to needle Pepper in just the right way to get a reaction.
BUT he has a secret. He is the heir of a small deli that is a local favorite and he runs their twitter account.
It all comes to a head when the two twitter accounts start a feud... and the rest is history.
Thoughts on this one:
I honestly didn't have high expectations. I was expecting a really gimmicky book and one that would fall along the lines of "How're you doing fellow kids?" based solely on the title.
Boy.
Was I wrong.
This one had so much heart, soul and hilarity.
I loved both of the characters - they both just felt so real.
The way they both put on a brave face while internalizing their struggles, the way they were reaching out to each other without even knowing it and the way they just took life on - I loved it all.
The plot itself went so much better than expected - so many genuine moments and tension-filled scenes. I couldn't tear my eyes away.
Overall - this one was fabulous and I definitely feel like it is the perfect contemporary YA romance.

Stolen family recipes and Twitter wars that go viral. Two teens, Pepper and Jack, are stuck in the middle of a family business feud.
Each are relied upon to run Big League Burger, a successful food chain, and Girl Cheesing, a small family-run deli, Twitter accounts. It just so happens that they both go to the same school.
It was exactly as cute as I thought it was going to be. YA romcoms are my new weakness.
This book is in the POV of both Pepper and Jack. It is always awesome to read from both perspectives. Jack's POV I especially loved.
As I have mentioned in many other reviews: books that feature a written communication between the main characters are always a winner for me. Be it email, texts, letters or even tweets - I am weak for these.
As much I loved seeing them outsmarting the other on twitter and online, the sweet moments they had IRL was so precious.
“[...] the issue isn’t so much what I want to be, but whether or not I can be it without hurting everyone else in the process.”
It was so beautiful watching these two connect over the outside pressure they both feel.
This book was filled with cuteness and banter and hilarious tweets. BUT it was also layered and had many other important and beautiful aspects that I thought added to my love for this story.
It was honestly just so wholesome and feel good and I wanted to hug Pepper and Jack so badly 😭. I am excited for whatever Emma Lord has next for us!

Aww such a cute book! I feel like a lot of books ignore phones and social media but this book really plays into it with a full on twitter war and an anonymous chat app. The world of these characters lives also felt so full. The author really explores New York City as a setting and has a fun cast of high school characters. Overall perfect for an adorable fun YA romance!!

Quite frankly, this might possibly be the most disgustingly cutest book I have ever read.
When characters are sprouting about feeling fuckin' sunshine and sea and whatnot inside their chest, I now know what they mean BECAUSE THIS BOOK DID THAT TO ME!

OH MY GOSH!!!! I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!! Tweet Cute by Emma Lord was so cute!! I have never read a book by Emma Lord before, but after reading this one I will continue to read her other books. I will be adding this author to my favorite author list. I have never laughed so much reading a book before, but this one made me laugh so freaking much!! The banter between the two main characters was just hilarious!! Tweet Cute had it's laugh-out-loud moments that had tears streaming down my face from laughing so much. This was one of the best rom-coms I have ever read. This book is an enemies-to-lovers trope. This book absolutely DELIVERED!!!! I honestly didn't know who to cheer for, so let's be honest, I was cheering for both Pepper and Jack. When I say you need to read this amazing book, you need to literally run to it because it was just so good!! Don't get mad at me when your stomach hurts from laughing so much, I'm sorry.
In Tweet Cute we follow the journey of Pepper and Jack. Pepper and Jack are both seniors at Stone Hall Academy, and only have eight months until graduation. Pepper is the swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all an all around perfectionist. Pepper and her sister Paige have a baking blog together. Pepper's parents divorced, so Pepper and her mom moved to New York, and her dad stayed back in Nashville, Paige goes to UPenn. Pepper's family may be falling apart, but their massive fast food chain is booming, mainly thanks to Pepper. Pepper is barely managing to juggle real life and school while secretly running Big League Burger's massive twitter account. Pepper's family owns Big League Burger. I loved both Pepper and Jack so much, I didn't know who to cheer for over the twitter battle, because both of their tweets had me wheezing. I was hooked from the very first page, and didn't want it to end, but at the same time I wanted to know what was going to happen to their relationship after they found out who was behind the twitter handles. This was the type of book that couldn't be put down until you knew the outcome. The twitter battles had me laughing so much. Haha! I really loved those two and their “enemies-to friends-to lovers” relationship was amazing! This is how it’s done, people! ;-P Still, before I go into more detail about this book I’ve to give you a fair warning: Don’t read this when you’re hungry because you’ll regret it! I didn’t have such strong cravings for sweet food ever since I read “Heartless”! And I mean it!!! All the talk about Monster Cake or Kitchen Sink Macaroons! AHHH!! *drools* See! I’m already craving sweets again. XD So whatever you do, don’t read this when you’re hungry!
”Just one more bite?”
I grin into my locker door, so he can’t see. “You sound like a junkie.”
“I might be one now, and it’s kind of your fault. So you have a responsibility to keep supplying. Or I’ll go into withdrawal.”
Please can someone supply me too? Haha! Anyway! Regardless of my cravings this book was super cute and the characters were extremely adorable together. When I started to read this I wanted a light rom-com that would be fun and fast to page through and I guess I got exactly what I needed. Well, truth be told, I got a little more than that though. Some of the topics that were addressed in here were actually pretty serious and I’ve to give Emma Lord kudos for including them so effortlessly into the plot.
”And that’s my grandma’s legacy. That’s my entire family’s livelihood. Don’t you dare stand there and tell me it isn’t personal.”
So aside from the fierce Twitter war that’s been going on throughout the entire book “Tweet Cute” also tackled a lot of topics you wouldn’t expect. Like for instance the matter of a family business when you have two heirs that could inherit it. The troubles of one sibling that always feels left out because the other one seems to be the centre of the universe everyone is revolving around, the struggle of getting by with a small business, and the struggle of maintaining a huge business while trying to remember your roots and originals. Not to mention all the family dynamics that are a big part of this book as well. ;-)
”It’s the fact that my dad can flip from telling me he expects me to run this place and then treating it like a punishment in the next heartbeat that really gets me. To me, it’s yet another spoken confirmation of an unspoken thing – that Ethan’s the twin destined for greatness, and I’m the one who will stick around and deal with whatever he leaves in his wake.”
If I’m entirely honest I kind of disliked Pepper’s mother for a long part of the book because I just didn’t understand her actions and why she would let her teenage daughter deal with such things. Even after finishing the book I still think that the relationship between Pepper and her mom was imbalanced and somehow off. I guess I’ll never become a fan of her.
My mom holds up a finger. “Hush. I’m having a moment over here.” Pepper snorts as my mom finishes having said moment, and then turns to Pepper, her fingers still sticky with cake, and says, “You are welcome to this kitchen any day of the week for the rest of your damn life.” Before Pepper can respond, she turns to me and says, “But if you don’t clean up this disaster, yours, my dear, is over.”
Jack and Ethan’s mom on the other hand! *lol* I loved that woman to bits and pieces! <3 She was such a great mom and she really tried her best to be there for her sons while running a business and providing for her kids. Their father was okay too but he obviously made quite a lot of mistakes. Unlike Pepper’s mom he learned from them though and tried to make it better. Also can we acknowledge the amazingness of Grandma Belly?! That granny is made of awesome sauce and she always made me laugh! <33
”They’re here for your grilled cheese,” I told her.
She fixed me with a look, crossing a leg on the massive armchair she spent most of her time in and raising a single eyebrow at me. “Not unless you changed my secret ingredient to cocaine, they’re not.”
You just gotta love her directness and no bullshit attitude! *lol* All told, I really enjoyed “Tweet Cute” and it was exactly what I needed. I was looking for a cute and light rom-com and that’s what I got. The fact that it also touched on more serious topics was the icing on the cake! And now excuse me when I finally give into my cravings and eat a delicious cupcake. ;-P

To be honest I have no idea if “Tweet Cute” will be what I’m searching for, but the plot sounds interesting and I want to read something fun and fast that won’t need all too much attention. *lol*
I’ve been reading too many serious books lately and I need to find some sort of balance.
This said: Did any of you read this already and if yes, did you like it? =))

I really loved this book. I listened to the audiobook, and I could not put it down. This is a YA book. The characters are really good, and I loved all the drama that happened in this book. Tweet cute was a cute fast moving drama with a little bit of romance.

Was this seriously a debut novel? Tweet Cute by Emma Lord is one of the best YA contemporary/rom-com's I've read in so long. It was adorable, endearing, and made me laugh out loud more than once. I loved the modern day, high school spin of the 'You've Got Mail' type of story line, and it was so much fun to read!
Jack and Pepper go to the same prep school in NYC. Pepper is the overachieving student who is captain of the swim team and is constantly striving to be perfect in all things. Jack is an identical twin and feels like he lives in the shadow of his more popular brother Ethan. He works for his family's deli, and Pepper is helping her mom with their chain of Big League Burger's twitter account.
When the BLB steals one of the most popular items on the deli's menu, a twitter war ensues. And Pepper and Jack are caught right in the middle of the cross-hairs. Only they don't know it... at first. Once they figure it out, it goes from being a straight up rivalry/war to more of a game. The banter between these two was top notch and you could feel the chemistry oozing from them every time they were around each other.
I loved watching these two connect and become friends of sorts. I think my favorite part of the book was watching them fall for each other and truly connect on a deeper level in an online anonymous school app Jack created as Wolf and Bluebird. The app is where they went when they both needed a real world break. Things changed rather drastically for them, as they went from being normal high school students to the faces of their respective businesses that strangers on the internet were shipping. It was a huge shock.
Pepper was snarky and witty, and Jack was the absolute best. They both had a lot of expectations placed on them, and much of this book was a coming of age story of them figuring out life and what they wanted to do for themselves despite this family feud their family businesses have going on and all the outside pressure.
Tweet Cute is a strong YA debut that's highly entertaining, well written, and charming. Also, be prepared for this book to make you want some sweets! I would love to have a few of Pepper's dessert recipes! This book was fantastic and I recommend it whole heartily!

Tweet Cute is officially my first five star read of the year! I devoured this adorably food centric rom-com about Pepper and Jack, who each run the social media accounts for their family restaurants and get into an anonymous Twitter war while simultaneously falling for each other in real life. Pepper's constant baking creations had my mouth watering and I found myself wishing that Jack's deli were a real life village staple that I could frequent. The writing style really worked for me- it's modern, addicting and it strikes a balance between quick witted banter and heart warming realness. Pepper and Jack completely jumped off the page for me and I appreciate how well all of the side characters were also developed. In addition to the romance that I was rooting so hard for, the familial relationships and friendships also really kept me hooked. Dear Netflix, please adapt this because I need more Pepperjack in my life!

Is it weird if I say that its title is “Tweet Cute” but I HATE THIS TWEET THING THE MOST IN THE BOOK?
Not because it’s bad but I feel so annoyed / irritated with this tweet thing throughout the book. In the first 40%, whatever Jack and Pepper are trying to play against each other on Twitter is totally CHILDISH. I wouldn’t say like this if they tweet against each other by using personal account but they don’t. They use their restaurant official account to tweet which I don’t think anyone would do it in real life since it might cause a lot of problems to their business. But after that, I’m annoyed because when Jack and Pepper already stop tweeting, Pepper’s mom and Ethan (Jack’s identical twin) don’t. They continue tweeting and tweeting against each other. It annoys me so much that ughhh I want to burn Twitter down!
(Which is in fact, I absolutely cannot do that because Twitter is my life.🤣)
Despite that, I truly enjoy the rest of the story especially the WEAZEL app thing. I really love the idea of this application that I wish I could hire Jack to create this application in real life!
To sum up, I would say that this book is a fun and quick read for everyone. It’s really easy to enjoy because the story is cute and the characters are hilarious as hell.

★ First, thanks for the publisher for reaching out to me and making me part of this blog tour. Also, thanks for the ARC that has been provided through Netgalley. This of course, did not affect my opinions on this book.
★ So, when I read the synopsis of this book, I just knew I had to read it. I don’t read much romance but I like to read one in a while. The synopsis promises food, twitter, haters to lovers, fluffy romance and in addition to that there were many puns!
★ The writing is very accessible and easy to read. after reading a few pages, my kindle app showed that I need 4 hours to finish it so I finished it fairly quickly and I would be reading for an hour without realizing that. The book is not very lyrical, so there was not many quotes that I highlighted but at the same time, I prefer this for a contemporary story. If you know me, then you know I love puns and as I mentioned above, there were puns and snarky tweets in this book!
★ I liked the characters, Pepper and Jack were both humans, they were not all black or white and I enjoyed that we got to see all their sides! The romance was fluffy, cute and clean! I don’t think there was anything explicit in this one. I was conflicted about one thing that Jack did but the author apparently does not encourage it and it was explained later and he regretted it. The parents in this book were also realistic, I like the fact that the book tackles some important issues such as graduation and what to do next, following our dreams and most importantly not comparing ourselves to others (I liked that the comparison was between 2 twins who look exactly alike).
★ The plot seems to depend on coincidences but at the same time, I lived enough to see that this kind of stories really happens in real life. The book name implies that Twitter is involved and it was, although I wish we have seen more tweets! People who don’t know the website may be slightly confused of how twitter works but I don’t think it is enough to change the reading experience. I was in the mood for something light and fluffy and this book delivered.
★ Summary and Prescription: I believe this book will be fairly successful when it comes out. I don’t have much to criticize, I liked the characters, the plot and the writing. If you are looking for a cute romance, then this one is for you!

★ First, thanks for the publisher for reaching out to me and making me part of this blog tour. Also, thanks for the ARC that has been provided through Netgalley. This of course, did not affect my opinions on this book.
★ So, when I read the synopsis of this book, I just knew I had to read it. I don’t read much romance but I like to read one in a while. The synopsis promises food, twitter, haters to lovers, fluffy romance and in addition to that there were many puns!
★ The writing is very accessible and easy to read. after reading a few pages, my kindle app showed that I need 4 hours to finish it so I finished it fairly quickly and I would be reading for an hour without realizing that. The book is not very lyrical, so there was not many quotes that I highlighted but at the same time, I prefer this for a contemporary story. If you know me, then you know I love puns and as I mentioned above, there were puns and snarky tweets in this book!
“You know, for someone named Pepper, you’re pretty salty about losing.”
★ I liked the characters, Pepper and Jack were both humans, they were not all black or white and I enjoyed that we got to see all their sides! The romance was fluffy, cute and clean! I don’t think there was anything explicit in this one. I was conflicted about one thing that Jack did but the author apparently does not encourage it and it was explained later and he regretted it. The parents in this book were also realistic, I like the fact that the book tackles some important issues such as graduation and what to do next, following our dreams and most importantly not comparing ourselves to others (I liked that the comparison was between 2 twins who look exactly alike).
★ The plot seems to depend on coincidences but at the same time, I lived enough to see that this kind of stories really happens in real life. The book name implies that Twitter is involved and it was, although I wish we have seen more tweets! People who don’t know the website may be slightly confused of how twitter works but I don’t think it is enough to change the reading experience. I was in the mood for something light and fluffy and this book delivered.
“I’d be much more disappointed if you didn’t go out in the world and do something you loved because you wanted to make me happy.”
★ Summary and Prescription: I believe this book will be fairly successful when it comes out. I don’t have much to criticize, I liked the characters, the plot and the writing. If you are looking for a cute romance, then this one is for you!

This was such a fun sweet lighthearted romcom! Emma Lord has written a delightful debut that put a big smile on my face. Twitter wars, secret apps, teenage angst, swim team, water polo, grilled cheese, secret recipes, macaroons, expectations, friendship, romance, family, sibling rivalry, cheeseburgers. Pepper is a straight A high school student, captain of the swim team with her eye on the future. She also finds herself managing her parents restaurant chain’s social media accounts. Jack is a good guy techie who seems to always find himself in his twin brother’s shadow. He also is burdened with the responsibility of taking over the family diner one day. When Pepper’s family’s restaurant chain appears to have stolen the secret grilled cheese recipe of Jack’s family diner a Twitter war ensues. The teens attend the same school and have recently started a friendship, neither of them knowing of the others involvement on Twitter. Additionally they have also established a deeper connection on an app that Jack created for the high school where everyone’s identity is anonymous. So what happens when you find out the person that you’re falling for is also the person that you hate?
Loved the story! Both Pepper and Jack were such great characters. There was also a little more depth to this story than some other romcoms. The story really touched on family responsibilities and expectations. There was also lots of yummy food! I found myself craving grilled cheese and macaroons. Two Great kids in an awkward uncomfortable situation with a couple extra fun twists along the way. Fun, fun, fun, absolutely recommend when you are in the mood for a heart warming story! With a side of fries.

Loved the story! Both Pepper and Jack were such great characters. There was also a little more depth to this story than some other romcoms. Za to Pepper i Jack zasługują na wszystko. Są ofiarami dramatów dorosłych.

"It’s weird, how you have no idea how far you’ve come until suddenly you can’t find the way back."
In the month of Febraury I stepped so much out of my comfort zone. I've barely read any fantasy books, but instead I read any other genre possible. Tweet Cute is a strange pick for me. I've never considered myself a big fan of contemporaries or romance books, but I simply loved this book. The few contemporaries I actually read have all been excellent and I'm happy to report that this one was too.
In this book we have Pepper who is an overachiever and a big perfectionist that also secretly runs the twitter for Big League Burger, her family's fast food chain. Jack is a class clown and constant thron in Pepper's side, that loves working in his family's deli. But when Big League Burger steals his grandma's iconic grilled chilled sandwich recipe, he would do anything to take them done. The spat between the two turns into a viral Twitter war. But while battling online, little do they know that they've actually been talking to each other anonymously on a chat app Jack built.
I loved this book so much, but even so I know it's not perfect. Not at all. This is a very unrealistic book, but that's something I've always been able to overlooked, if I really loved the plot. And it this case I've obviously been able to overlook that. But still, who would let a teenager to run a Twitter account for this big fast food restaurant? A big company like that should be able to hire some people that could run social media accounts properly, instead of a sassy teenager.
But, overlooking how unrealistic the situation is, I loved this. This whole book is extremely cute. This was simply the light-hearted book I needed. I tend to read so many dense fantasy books, that it feels good reading a fluffy contemporary once in a blue moon.
I loved both Pepper's and Jack's characters and I loved that we got POVs from both of them. Pepper is this very big perfectionist, but through out the book we see that it's more of a facade that her school competitiveness put on her. Underneath she is this very sassy girl, that just feels overwhelmed most of the times. Jack on the other hand, is trying to step out of his twin's shadow. He always feels like his twin, Ethan, is the golden boy of his family, while he is just "class clown", Jack. But he is so mnuch more than that, as the story moves on you can clearly see that aspect.
I loved the romance that we got between Pepper and Jack, or Pepperjack. They were just si cute and their interactions were everything! I loved every scene that we got both of them in. I was sitting here, being in my feels and all while reading about this frenemies to lovers kind of romance.
The plot was really fast paced and easy to follow. I loved everything that happened in this book, although there was a time when I thought something was going to happen that I would have hated, but I'm glad it didn't.
As you can clearly tell I loved this book and I'm so so happy that I decided to read it this February. If you haven't pick this book, I highly recommend you do. Especially if you are in a reading slump as this is a fast read.

Okay. I feel like I’ve read a lot of these books. 😋 The secret pen pal, arch nemesis, turned friend, then more. This was a decent one of those. 😉 Totally predictable, yet, still entertaining to read. 👍

This was in fact, cute. This is a YA contemporary about these two teens Pepper and Jack who both have family businesses and they both run the twitter accounts for their family business. Pepper's family business steals a recipe from Jack's family business and we get this classic modern day Romeo & Juliet type of forbidden angsty romance that involves a lot of twitter fights and a playful hate to love vibe. It actually was really cute, I listened to the audiobook which was great by the way, the narrators really bring this story to life. There's also some great family dynamics happening in this book with Pepper's family being obsessed with succeeding and their image, and Jack's cute family and their small business and his twin brother.
This book was very cute, I don't often read young adult anymore but every now and then I get in the mood for it, and I'm glad I picked this one up. It was light and fluffy, and everything I wanted it to be.

Okay, this book was SO CUTE. This is exactly the kind of YA contemporary I eat up and adore. Pepper and Jack are classmates and realize that they are the ones in a twitter war between their parents' companies. I really loved Jack and Pepper's banter and their slow relationship. They both had crushes on each other but didn't know how to really act around each other and it was so adorable.
We also had another layer in here where Pepper and Jack are talking to each other anonymously on an app. I thought that was fun, but I do wish Pepper didn't think that the guy she was talking to was the cute, hotshot at school. This felt like a plot that was done before and I didn't like how that made Jack feel insecure.
When the end came, I really appreciated how much Jack and Pepper hashed out stuff with their parents and really started to communicate with them and think about their futures. Overall, the romance and the familial relationships in this book really made me love the story!

Teen Twitter Wars?! Just call this a Smart, Sarcastic, Lighthearted Rom-Com.
Duking it out on Twitter for the sake of their families’ businesses has become quite the past-time for Pepper and her classmate, Jack. Of course, neither knows that the other is responsible for the sarcastic, snarky memes and tweets.
When Jack sees Big League Burgers’ post on Twitter announcing “Grandma’s Special” Grilled Cheese, Jack’s eye’s pop. His family deli, “Girl Cheesing” has sold “Grandma’s Special” since its inception.
Pepper’s family owns Big League Burger, while Jack’ family owns a NYC Deli, which is a fact unbeknownst to the other. When the tweets start flying, there's no holds barred between these two.
“Tweet Cute” grabbed me from the get go. Though my High School years are long gone, I remember the days, enjoyed the sarcastic barbs and couldn’t help but laugh out loud and smile at the tweet cutes. Times are different now and yet, somehow they remain the same. This character driven novel is sweet, smart and adorable. The witty banter between Pepper and Jack is sure to lift the mood of anyone in need of a laugh right now.
