Oh man, if you want a bigger, potentially lethal bite from the travel bug, read this book. It's a tour book, not a narrative, but if you're at all interested in odd destinations ranging from the active to the thrilling to the downright nuts, then you'll probably find yourself reading it cover to cover like I did. A great breakdown of pretty much every sort of adventure activity under the sun, along with the best destinations and thorough resources for each. Although it can be frustrating to read if you're not in a position to travel at the time, it's also very inspiring, at least in terms of broadening your horizons and sparking idears

This book is a must for adventure junkies! I'm not an adventure junkie (a running junkie, yes, but skydiving scares me b/c I'm afraid the parachute wouldn't open!), but this book opened my eyes to new potential hobbies, new places to do things…great photos. Not as much of an armchair travel book, but more for the serious adventurita!
