Bluey is a 6 year old Blue Heeler pup who loves to play. Her parents and teacher give her lots of time to practice, which means she’s become very good at inventing games, helping everyone choose their roles and deciding on the rules. Her favourite games are ones that involve lots of other kids and grown-ups (especially her dad) and she mainly likes to pretend she’s a grown up doing grownup things herself.
Bluey is an Australian children's television program by the Emmy award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS and is co-commissioned by ABC Children's and BBC Studios.
3.5 stars--This sweet, well-written story reminded me of the power of imagination and how anything can become a toy when you're a kid. Bluey imagines a bunch of balloons as students in a classroom, and Mum uses some reverse psychology to convince Bluey to take a bath...and learn an important life lesson in the process.
Docking 1/2 of a star for depicting releasing a balloon out into the environment.
Jack borrowed this book from the Canal Winchester Library. I picked it because he likes Bluey and has loved the other Bluey books that tell the story of episodes.
When he asked me to read it, Jack called it the "balloon" book, which was cute. He thought the balloons were funny, and he enjoyed the part where Dad is chasing Bingo.
great story with Bluey playing mum school with a bunch of balloons asking her mum Chilli to grade her. heartfelt story with side story of Bingo and Bandit. great pictures
A cute adaptation of an episode of Bluey, though it wasn’t one of my all time favorite episodes (that doesn’t mean it’s any less sweet). It’s pretty much beat for best, which is to be expected, but isn’t just a bunch of screenshots with speech bubbles (cough cough, Miraculous Ladybug books, cough cough).
