About the author

Bluey is a 6 year old Blue Heeler pup who loves to play. Her parents and teacher give her lots of time to practice, which means she’s become very good at inventing games, helping everyone choose their roles and deciding on the rules. Her favourite games are ones that involve lots of other kids and grown-ups (especially her dad) and she mainly likes to pretend she’s a grown up doing grownup things herself.

Bluey is an Australian children's television program by the Emmy award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS and is co-commissioned by ABC Children's and BBC Studios.

A Mother's Day Treasure!

I received this book for Mother’s Day and it was such a beautiful surprise! As a book lover, 📚 it was the perfect way to start my morning - lying in bed, 🛏️ reading it with my daughter . Pure magic! ✨

Of course it gets 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, it was both touching 💖 and hilarious! 😂 The little moments had me giggling 🤭 and the sweet message throughout warmed my heart 💕 (yes, I teared up a little 😢).

It’s everything I love about Bluey: fun, 🎉 heartfelt, 🫶 and filled with those classic cheeky moments 😜 we all adore.

A book we’ll read again and again, 🔁📖 cuddled up together, just like this morning.

Because seriously… who doesn’t love Bluey?! 🐾💙

Bluey and Bingo are back with another book and this one celebrates their mom. They love her and in this book they recognize all of the things she does for them. From taking them places to working hard to taking good care of them. She does everything for them and they appreciate it.

BLUEY: MY MUM IS THE BEST is perfect for mothers to read with their little Bluey fan. It’s cute and full of family love and lessons just like any other Bluey episode. My daughter was over the moon when I pulled this book out. It came with a lesson too because I had to explain why mom was spelled as “mum”. It gave me the opportunity to talk about how some cultures say and do things differently. I also like how it talks about how sometimes mom's aren't fun like when we make them eat vegetables or clean their rooms. It adds a bit more humor to the book and had both my daughter and me smiling.


Final Verdict: I would recommend this to Bluey fans because it makes a great addition to their library. It's a cute and funny read.

Again, a bit difficult to read out loud since it alternates between the 2 kids but all in all its a nice little bed-time book to read that make s a Mom feel a bit more appreciated, especially when all that she does is often overlooked because its basic stuff that keeps the house running, like oh yeah Dad is super fun because he takes us to the pool but how fun is the pool without a snack, flip flops, sunscreen, sinkies, floaties, etc. its nice to have a book that reinforces all a mom does, but i'm biased, obviously.
Great kids book for a Mom to read and feel better about themselves when they are done.
And also that isn't creepy like that one book that has the mom sneaking into the kids bedroom at night with a ladder when he's grown up. You can think thats sweet but thats verging on some weird "How to create an Oedipal Complex" sort of stuff.

This and the book “My Dad is Awesome” are definitely enjoyable by parents and kids who are fans of the show, as they are basically books compiling lots of funny and sweet moments from the show - no new content, which is ok. It is fun to recall which episode each image happened in, and you discover that while you definitely know Bluey and Bingo’s accent and mannerisms, it’s actually much harder to read (as an American) in character than you think it would be! 😅 Otherwise, the setup and content of the book are a-ok, but new content would be awesome.

It's one of those mass-market releases that I tend to despise: pumped out in droves as a Mother's Day cash-grab. But I can't help but have a soft spot for the Heeler family, and Chilli is the real MVP.

I don't think they mentioned anything about Mother's Day even though this book was advertised on Baker and Taylor's website as a perfect book for Mother's Day. It does talk about how their mom is the best so there's that, but I don't know. I think I just expected something different.
