Layla and Tonya are roommates and students here in Los Angeles. Layla works as a waitress but has an interview with the St. James Law Firm. Layla Adams also worked for MyPlace shelter, so along with waitressing she is stretching her self thin. She goes to interview at the St. James Firm and is hired as a paralegal under Andy, one of the people who interviewed her. Treyton St. James drove his newly bought little red convertible corvette into the beach house of of his parents, Kitty and David St. James. Treyton had just passed the bar and was getting ready to go on job interviews next week. Treyton has a twin sister Tiffany who is his best friend. Richard told his son that his partner had a sweet spot for him and to come in an interview with them on Monday. Tiffany asks her brother to go with her to pick up the gift she has for him and then the story begins. This story has a twist that I thought I had figured out, but I would never have guessed that Ava Greene would leave us with this type of a cliffhanger, but this is the prequel so I shouldn't be surprised. Get this prequel and see if you wont want to read the story of Treyton and Layla.

Privileged
By Ava Greene
Main Characters: Treyton and Layla
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 out of 5 stars
This is a short prequel of about 30 pages. One thing I found out I did not care for was the author using Treyton's name over 100 times in this short book. It was very aggravating. Layla, is a pre-law student at UCLA and she has applied to their law school but in the meantime, she needs a job and thought she might be a good fit for the St. James Firm. She is tired of working at a diner with all those hours and hopes she doesn't blow her interview. You need to read the next book because this is just a small blurb to entice you to read more and I want to read more!

fantastic starter to a new series

This prequel has me wanting the first book NOW!
We are introduced to Trent St. James (home from passing the bar and ready to start his job as an atty at St. James Law Firm), Layla (a college student working 2 jobs but has an interview at St. James Law Firm where she briefly meets Trent).
Trent goes home for a party where his twin sister Tiffany is. He is so tired all he wants to do is rest but Tiffany needs him to do a favor for her and he has never been able to tell her no.

Privileged Prequel...hits the ground running leaves you wanting more

PRIVILEGED is the prequel to The Privileged series. This sets up the story of Layla Adams and Treyton St. James. This begins the story of each of them and gives the reader some context into who they are and how they got there. You also get some interesting foreshadowing in the story and a cliffhanger. I think this one continuing story series is going to be entertaining and fast-paced and I can't wait to read the next book.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

If you think this is like any other Enemies to Lovers story you are so wrong! This is the beginning of Layla and Treyton's story. He is a young rich fresh out of law school lawyer and she is a young college student looking to make it in the world. she works two jobs to make ends meet ad hopes to have a job as a paralegal at this law firm where is is interviewing and sees Treyton. What comes next is to be seen, but this debut is quite mind grabbing. I volunteered to review this book.

Treyton wakes in the hospital not realizing what happened when he and his twin were out diving and no one is answering his questions but he knows his sister will and he calls her name but she isn't there to tell him what happened. Prequel. Some explanation of what happened and why he is in the hospital. I purchased this book. I volunteered an honest review.

I'm not sure how I feel about prequels overall with regards to a series, but this one seemed interesting so I picked it up.

Having the backstory of the characters from the Privileged series helped me to connect to them a little easier, and I enjoyed the series a little more because of it.

Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Not enemies to lovers

Law student, an interview at a law firm, passes a guy leaving as she enters. His POV is brief, and sets up a predictable storyline.

I’m not sure if it’s the stilted word choice, point of view, or the telling rather than showing. It’s a short prequel which just felt very awkward.

Ava Greene books are slowly becoming my favorite books to read. She really have good books and most are slow read. I have a whole set of her books on my book funnel library. Thanks to her email, I got to save a bunch of her books, and bought one of her books on kindle.

I’d love to arc for this author!
Characters Layla, Treyton, and Samantha are also very enjoyable to read.

What a great beginning for a new series. The author has pulled us into the lives of the characters and leaves us with more questions than answers.

This is a prequel and boy it sure grabs the readers attention. It is very dramatic, full of suspense, very emotional, and makes me want to know what’s going to happen next. I voluntarily reviewed a free advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.
