Just an hour North East of Bar and Winter Harbours, is the sleepy little town of Hollyhock, Maine. With its border on the Arcadian National Park, it is the perfect place to get away for a long weekend or in the case of Seraphine Haven maybe the rest of your life. Jaded from a lost relationship she has come to town to remake herself and serve up a few sweet concoctions. Little did she know the meddling that was about to fill her days and cold winter nights this Christmas.
Issac Skuyler has failed to land, as his father puts it. The son of a florist and longshore fisherman it was the creative blooms that attracted him and kept him home. At thirty-five he’s single and running his own shop, but there’s just one small hitch- he’s still in his father’s house- specifically his basement. When the cold November air blows in a pretty stranger will it be enough to turn Issac’s head or will his family push too hard leaving Issac to the flowers and wreaths for the rest of the Yuletide season?

I loved this one! It was like a perfect Christmas love story, I’m not always a fan of those romance novel where the mom already has kids but this one has become one of my favorites, Sera and Issac were perfect for each other, I just wish it would have been a bit longer and had more detail and also told a little more into the life the wanted to build together. But all in all it was a great Christmas love story.

Isaac has taken over his mothers flower shop in town and loves how creative he can be there. He thinks his time for love and family have passed until Sera takes over a candy shop across the street from the flower shop. Meeting Sera and her two kids opens up his heart at the wonderment the kids project on the weather and locale. Seeing new possibilities, both Isaac and Sera let a relationship start and a new dimension to their lives begins. Loved the comment her pop made - "What goes better together than candy and flowers." The characters are terrific and heartwarming. The storyline flows easily with connections that make you smile and banter that is entertaining, especially with the kids. Loved the chemistry, intense feelings and emotions, as well as the ideas for the house and gardens. The ending is terrific and I guess a little girls Christmas wish is working out.

Sera at almost 40 has come back to Hollyhock, Maine with her two children in tow to open a bakery, and during the Grand Opening everyone in town comes out to celebrate a new business. Issac's mother insists that he goes with her and he could think of a lot of other places he could be like at his Florist Shop. Once he gets a look at Sera and finds out that her daughter Willow has never seen snow before he found the child and mother quite interesting her wanted to know more. Once they got to know each other he ask her out on a date. Zac decided that he might like dating Sera but he was not in a hurry for more but that doesn't mean that things can't turn you around without you realizing it. Entertaining. This short holiday romance story is about finding love in someone you don’t expect it from. This story was sweet and fast with plenty of awe moments. I like the couple; we’re both older and maybe had some life to figure out, but they did it together.
Isaac owned a flower shop in Hollyhock, Maine. He took over the family business when his mother retired. However, she did till bags him to go places.
Seraphine is a single mom who just moved to Maine from Dallas; she is also opening a store in a Hollyhock.
Sera and Isaac get steamy as they find out they aren’t as far apart in age as they thought. Things progress quickly for the better for both of them. This becomes a sweet winter holiday romance.

This is a holiday romance about finding love where you least expect it. It was so sweet, they fit each other perfectly: a flower shop owner and a bakery owner. I enjoyed the small town part of this book and how they are willing to step up and help each other. I enjoyed how Isaac knew if he wanted to date Holly he had to also spend time with her and her kids. This was a short romance that draws you into the main character's adventure of finding love. I recommend you give this book a try especially if you like sweet holiday romances. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Issac Skuyler owns the flower shop Beautiful Botanicals in Hollyhock, Maine. He is the youngest son and lives in the basement apartment in his childhood home. When Seraphine Haven moved from Dallas, Texas back home to Hollyhock, Maine, she opened a chocolate shop across the street from the flower shop. As Issac is getting to know Seraphine, he is also learning to love Willow and L.J., her children. When Willow asks Santa if Issac could be her daddy, Issac gets to work on the historical home he is fixing up so he can ask Seraphine and her kids to move in with him. This story was fun to read, includes romance and some steam, and ends in a HEA. Highly recommended.

"Hollyhock: Yuletide" by J. Haney & S. I. Hayes
My Speculation:
"Hollyhock: Yuletide" was a quick good Christmas love short story featuring Sera and Issac. It looks like Sera is finally getting someone to love her and her two children. I loved how Issac knew when he loved Sera and wanted to give her and her children a life together in Hollyhock, Maine.
Meet Issac and Seraphine, two business owners in a small town where everybody knows who is who.
Issac has never left his small hometown and when life events causes Sera to move home, it becomes something neither of them had expected.
This is a storyline that goes right along with everyday life occurances and is a bit of fresh air from your inflated fairytale romances.
The authors did a great job of depicting characters that you would see and experience in everyday life. I love the simplicity of this story and look forward to reading more.
I hope there will be a continuation to this story.
I think this story has a lot of potential, however I thought it was pretty choppy. The story is sweet and heartwarming, but could have been smoother. The character development was also pretty lacking. I know what I'm supposed to think of the characters, but it wasn't really conveyed to me. Overall, I would probably recommend this book to someone who is looking for a quick holiday read and has a lot of imagination to fill in the gaps.
This was an enjoyable, quick read! Sera is an older woman with 2 small children who has just moved back to her parents house. Isaac is a 20-something man who lives in his parents basement. Sera and Isaac are at different pints of their lives but want to have fun with each other. The lines blur quickly when their feelings get in the way. Sera and her kids are just what Isaac needs to get his own place. Sera and Isaac have to overcome some barriers but they do get their HEA!
Sweet, hot Christmas time romance to read. It was definitely to short but nonetheless so engaging and enjoyable. I’m sucker for single mom second chance, maybe because I’m single mom? Seraphine life definitely need change but single man living with his parents? Issac has some work to convince her that he is good choice. Will he succeed?

A wonderful Christmas story about new beginnings and family getting together. But it’s much more than a Christmas story - new families are created. Zac and Sera builds a new one. Hopefully it will continue all year, forever and ever. Maybe a follow up to Hollyhock? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
3.5***** stars. Cute and quirky, older woman, younger man. She’s a single mom with two little kids and he is a lonely bachelor who is just gobsmacked when he sees her. Their age difference is actually small. The four year old girl is a pistol and steals many scenes. Short read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

This story was like walking into a small town Christmas special. As a greedy reader shorts aren't my favorite because they always leave me want more, but this one was definitely worth it. I hope to see more of this couple in the future.
This was a cute, fun holiday read! I really enjoyed the banner between all of the characters and would love to take a deeper dive into these characters lives.
