A new author, and the first book in a new series.
Eunice is a curve young woman with beautiful friends, not that she begrudges them, she just wishes she was more like them! Her self image and confidence is always taking a battering (her parents were exactly loving or nurturing)
Yvette is Eunice’s best friend, she likes sex, and doesn’t mind where she gets it from (married men and her own personal harem on call) but the thing I got confused with was the slave aspect of Yvette (I was under the impression if your a slave, then you have a master, and I didn’t think he shared?!) but she’s happy so she’s not worried (a little too shallow for my liking)
Adrien thinks he’s a ladies man, seducing and using women for his own pleasure, he gives the ladies he’s with a good time, but I don’t think he shares himself with them.
The story starts at a party, Eunice has gone with her two thin friends (why this had to be emphasised I’ll never know!)
Eunice bumps into an attractive man who offers to get her another drink after she spilt the one she was holding, chatting to her friends about she’s in two minds as to wether she should continue to chat to him, or just move on.......
The dashing hunk makes her an offer she can’t refuse, a night she won’t forget, but only if she totally surrenders to him......
Yvette is worried about her friend (but not worried enough to go check her home) and is shocked when the police come to the office and ask questions ......
It was ok, just not for me.
Eunice spent too much time in her own head, lamenting about her past, from her lack of love from her parents to teasing by her peers in her school years. If your with a hot guy about to have a wonderful moment, wouldn’t you be in that moment? And not comparing him in detail with your past encounters!
The phrasing and descriptions left me cold. The belittling of women in this book left me with a sour taste in my mouth!
I was in two minds as wether to stop reading, it just felt so cold and clinical.
The BDSM just felt it hadn’t be researched, the spanking didn’t come across as sensual (and I know sadists and masochists like it really rough, but those books had more sensuality than this book)
Yvette then makes it her mission to find out what happened to her friend.....
She needs to find Count Dracula, she’s going to find answers.
On her journey she uncovers a mystery, and when Yvette finally catches up with Adrien and demands answers, she’s shocked at what he tells her......
I did finish the book, I still didn’t like Adrien, I grew to respect Yvette (but not a great deal) she wanted to find her friend, and it led her to a Adrien.
So does Yvette find Eunice? Can Adrien help Yvette work out what happened?
