A magical moment.

A single night.

A collection of stories about first kisses, second chances, kinky explorations, and having the confidence to ask for what you want.

Five whirlwind relationships celebrating queer bodies and queer love.

Waiting for You: Taylor has been pining for his best friend, Julio, for most of his life. But he knows that he’s too big, too fat, and too plain to ever appeal. It doesn't help that his secret desires for lace, makeup, and submission don't match his outsides at all. He could never catch Julio’s eye, could he? (MM, friends-to-lovers)

Here for You: Eric has always avoided dating. But something’s different about the new sub, Micah. He’s both vulnerable and strong, owning his disability, his transgender identity, and his unconventional desires. Eric is happy to arrange a group scene for the night... and perhaps look for something more tomorrow. (MM, first time)

Game for You: Ben and Parker have been circling each other for years in a frenzy of insane dares and sexual innuendo. But as two Doms, they know they could never get together. Enter sassy, gorgeous Dakota, a perfect mix of masculine and feminine, and a perfect challenge for the two men to claim. This story contains spanking, whipping, an erotic game of darts, and an even sexier bet. (MMX, friends-to-lovers with someone new)

Back for You: When Nina was betrayed by her teenaged crush at their all-male boarding school, she vowed to move on in her life. She transitioned to being the woman she always knew she was and didn’t look back. But when she meets a gorgeous new customer, it takes only a moment to recognize those eyes. Angel has a new name, but she’s as intense and commanding as ever. And she wants to ask for another chance. This story contains role play, spankings, foot worship, and a chance to reclaim the one who got away. (FF, second chance)

Time for You: Charlie knows that she’s too old and grumpy for someone like Carla. He’s young, dapper, confident, and most of all, just as butch as she is. It’s easier to just ignore his flirting and push away any hope for something between them. What would that even look like? When Carla asks her out, Charlie has to decide. Can she take the risk to not only trust Carla, but explore sides of herself she never dared to face? And if she does, will Carla still want her? This story contains shibari and first-time submission. (XX, friends-to-lovers, younger Dom/older sub)

The first three stories (Waiting for You, Here for You, and Game for You) were previously available as separate books.

Reese Morrison

29 books325 followers
Reese Morrison lives in Philadelphia with their partner, two precocious children, and intermittent housemates, guests, and homeless, queer teens. Their hobbies are volunteering on too many boards, planting gardens that they forget to water half-way through the summer, making up songs for their kids, and putting off writing their dissertation.

Reese and their partner both identify as genderqueer and are part of a vibrant community of queer and trans folks. They started writing because they were dissatisfied with the lack of trans and genderqueer characters in what they were reading and finally decided to do something about it. Many, but not all, of their books are kinky (for a whole range of kinks...) and they feel that it's important to represent a range of backgrounds, dis/abilities, gender presentations/ identities, and body types in their writing.

No one does gender and sexuality rep as well as Reese. They understand the nuances of it all. They rep the people no one thinks about. It’s just really beautiful. And they do kink SO WELL. There’s something to be said for an author that is so in tune with the queer/trans community that literally anyone can read it and be like “oh hey that’s me.” That’s special.

This is my first time reading Reese Morrison's work and I am so glad I did. The writing style is very engaging and makes it so easy to get into the stories and like their characters. This anthology consists of five shorts that represent multitude of identities and provides that spark that will let the relationships grow beyond the stories themselves. This is not plot oriented but character and kink driven. All the stories revolve around a bar called Whirlwind that brings people from all walks of live together.

This is a compilation of sinfully $*xy and wicked hot stories that celebrates body positivity and freedom to be oneself, shatters social norms and shows unashamed desire and healthy intimacy. I enjoyed all of the stories despite some of the kinks not being a favorite and some being so new and exciting that I am all agog to know more. The author shines the light on everyday struggles of transgender people as well as provides the characters that are so relatable and likable. It was an absolute joy to discover. A deliciously filthy emotional read. I absolutely recommend it. Copy received for my honest and unbiased review.

DNF @ 21%. I'm not into sharing or menage based romances, so I'm stopping here. Otherwise, I liked it. I wish sharing and threesomes is something I enjoy reading about, but I unfortunately don't. *head desk*

Another book I really enjoyed by one of my favourite authors!

This book includes 5 short romances revolving around a bar called Whirlwind. Each story includes a kinky sex scene or two.

The first story is a m/m romance with a genderqueer character, about two best friends that have loved each other since they were teenagers. This one has absolutely fantastic best friend pinning angst, which I'm a sucker for.

The second story is about a reserved Dom that's never really met the man of his dreams, and a trans disabled man who is visiting a BDSM club for the first time ever and doesn't know what to expect - and he's definitely not expecting to get to have a group sex scene! I really liked this one and would have loved to have gotten a longer story with these two characters!

The next story is about two Doms that are best friends and rivals - they're constantly competing against each other in stupid competitions, and are also both completely infatuated with one another but know their sexual preferences are completely at odds, as they both like to be in charge. Then they meet a sub at the bar and realise that they might have found the perfect key to making their relationship work. This story includes a trans man and an intersex nonbinary person. I really liked this one too, although I found the dynamic between the two Doms a little difficult to understand, because the rivalry thing just did not compute to me. But the sub was an absolute joy, and I definitely would have loved to spend longer with these three characters!

The next story is Sapphic, and includes two trans women who knew each other as teenagers, and had almost had a romantic relationship but a misunderstanding pulled them apart. Now they meet by chance after a friend introduces them, and they have a second chance at romance. I really enjoyed this story too! I loved the concept of two trans characters having known each other pre-transition and meeting again later in life, and being older and wiser now, so they can tell each other exactly what they want.

Final story in this lovely collection is about the owner of the bar and someone who hosts trivia night at the bar. I think it's safe to say both characters in this story are gender queer (AFAB). The bar owner is in her 50s and has a lot of self doubt and doesn't believe anyone could want to date her. The person that runs trivia night has had a crush on the bartender for years and has been flirting forever, but has never had any luck. They finally gettogether in this story. I really appreciated this story. I found Charlie, the bartender, to be really easy to sympathise with, and really appreciated her addition to this story. I'd love to find more stories about older butch women like her. (I also really appreciated the little interludes Charlie had between each story, where she'd basically think something along the lines of "A lot of people who come to my bar sure do like kink. But that's not something I've ever tried - or want to try, of course!" and at the end she gets to try kink herself and really enjoys it. I loved that for her.)

So, yeah. If you love queer romance in all it's shapes and sizes, this is a fantastic book for you!

Waiting for You: Julio and Taylor’s story is my favorite. I love that they have both been pining for each other, and then suddenly, unexpectedly, get their chance at happiness with the person they’ve always dreamed about and never thought they could have. Swoon… Taylor is so insecure and unhappy with his own body. My heart ached for him. Julio is far more self-assured and so determined to make Taylor happy. I love that they are both so different yet fit so well together.

Here for You: Eric and Micah are next and fall in love & lust at first sight. Their connection is instant and deliciously filthy and sweet at the same time. I love how considerate Eric is of Micah, and how he gives the other man all he needs and desires. I also thought it was great how open and honest they both were. Micah’s courage in going to the club alone and the way he’s overcome the challenges he faces because of being trans and having cerebral palsy is nothing short of inspiring. I was so happy for Micah as he got to know Eric and found that Eric could be his safe place. His first meeting with Eric’s friends was also quite memorable.

Game for You: Same as with Julio and Taylor, Ben and Parker have been the subjects of bets for their friends, as it is clear for all of them that there is something more there than friendship. There’s not as much angst with Ben and Parker because they both seem more aware of the other’s feelings, but they can’t seem to envision a scenario where they could work as a couple. Neither of them identifies as poly, or at least, they don’t seem to have considered the possibility of a poly relationship until very recently, but then along comes Dakota. Dakota feels drawn to Ben and Parker both, and their playful nature helps bring the three of them together. I loved how Dakota teasingly egged on Ben and Parker, opening their eyes to new possibilities, and loved the way Ben and Parker each gave them what they needed too. First MMX romance I’ve ever read. Loved it.

Back for You: This is a heartwarming second chance at love romance. Nina and Angel knew each other as boys when their mutual crush ended in disaster and misunderstandings. They meet again years later and find out they’ve both transitioned. The spark is still there, and they have a moving heart-to-heart, neither of them wanting to lose any more time. I loved the power dynamics in their relationship and the way Angel encourages Nina when it comes to her art. The heat between these two is off the charts.

Time for You: Finally, it’s Charlie’s and Carla’s turn. We’ve gotten teasing glimpses of Charlie through the short introductory chapters linking the stories of all the other main characters, so it was more than time for Charlie to get her turn. There’s so much to love about her story! Charlie comes across as strong and gruff, someone for the others to lean on and confide in, so it was surprising and incredibly touching to get to know her backstory and see her more vulnerable side. Carla is an intriguing, warm character. I loved him for Charlie. I loved the age difference between them and that Carla, even though so much younger, is the dominant one, the caretaker, and in some ways, the more experienced one out of the two of them.

What I loved about all of these stories is that we get to know and love so many wonderful queer and trans characters and are subtly educated about gender identity/presentation. I also very much appreciated the body positivity and that there were MC’s with very different body types, not all of them fitting societal norms of what’s considered attractive. The emotional connection and chemistry is there for all the couples/throuples, enthralling and convincing, even though the stories take place in a very short time frame.

Waiting For You, Julio and Tyler
A friends to lovers story, with some serious kink and a couple who realize they’ve been in love with each other for years.

Here For You, Micah and Eric
I struggled to suspend my disbelief for this one. I get a Dom (Eric) being drawn to a new sub, but this was a bit too much for my suspension of disbelief.

Game For You, Parker, Ben and Dakota
Insta-lust and love, but I so wanted to see Parker and Ben together that I enjoyed the hell out of this one. Dakota is probably the first the first intersex character I’ve ever read about. Also fascinating, and I love and admire how comfortable they are with themself. It’s inspiring, quite frankly.

Back For You, Angel and Nina
Fascinating. Two MTF trans people, who knew each other pre-change when they were teens at boarding school, and meet again after they have transitioned and are still attracted to each other. It’s a bit of a mind fuck, at least for this cis-het person, but I admire Ms. Morrison for portraying all kinds of people, because I am learning so much every time I read one of Ms. Morrison’s books.

Time For You, Charlie, the butch lesbian bar owner (of the titular Whirlwind bar) and Carla (he but in a femme package?)
It was so good to see Charlie find her person. I enjoyed learning more (in a non-lecture-y way) about femme and butch and in between. I was confused at first by how Carla went by Carla (a typically female name) but used the pronoun He. I just accepted it, as other people do.

I liked this a lot. It reminded me of Anita Kelly’s Moonlighters novellas with its assortment of 5 interconnected short romance stories set in and around a queer bar, but with much more kink and a wider exploration of the complexity of internal and external expectations of gender roles and appearance as they meet with identity and desire.

The first stories in the collection were originally published individually (I think) and I think we can see the evolution of Reese Morrison’s writing as the stories progress. Whilst they are all have a sweet, touching side, it's stories 4 and 5 (Back for You and Time for You) in particular that stand out with real emotional heft and a great deal of feeling, development and history somehow delivered in very few words.

Definitely worth a read.

Good Lord, where do I even begin? I mean, this was just...amazing. All of the stories were sweet and funny and deliciously kinky and beautifully intersectional. I expect no less from Reese Morrison but they have truly outdone themselves with this one.

I'm not going to go into detail about each one because I think they should just be experienced and there are no trigger warnings to give. I will tell you that if you are someone who has been asking for disabled characters or trans characters or black characters or any beautiful combination of the former and more, you will not be disappointed with this book. All 5 stories are thoughtful, endearing, have fleshed out characters, and hold an authenticity that I think is lacking in romance, particularly among queer books. There's so much wonderful diversity in all things queer that isn't often explored and I didn't realize how much I wish it was until this book. I have never read a book with a bratty submissive genderqueer intersex character. I have never read a book with a black trans woman who's a mommy dom until this book. My life is forever changed and in the best way possible.

These are beautiful love stories, no doubt. But we gotta talk about the smut for a minute because Oh. Mi. God. Who told Reese this was okay!? They didn't have to go this hard. Each story features a different kink and when I say it's all very hot, I mean you should probably keep a fire extinguisher nearby just in case. I can't even pick a favorite...but I did swoon pretty hard for Julio and Parker. Not gonna lie.

This book was so good and turned me into more of a lovesick sap than I already was. I am in love with all of these characters. Especially Dakota, seriously I would hang out with them. Taylor and Micah were super adorable. So was Nina. And Charlie. I should go. 5 stars because this book was amazing and Parker had no right to be so attractive.

Whirlwind is a fabulous collection of 5 Reese Morrison stories, all revolving around the Whirlwind bar. I love that it isn't the main setting, but rather a place all the couples hang out.

**************************

In Waiting For You, we get the romance of Taylor and Julio, best friends and business partners who secretly love one another. In a nice twist, Taylor is a large man who desires the smaller Julio to dominate him. Theirs is a story of secrets being unveiled, and desires being satisfied.

Both men are lovable. Taylor's overweight, looks like a bear, but doesn't have the mindset of a bear. He prefers femme clothing, including lace, as he enjoys being pretty. I love these two friends who have secret desires that perfectly compliment one another. Their story is full of heat, including BDSM, spanking, and bondage.

**************************

In Here for You we get a stupendous BDSM romance between Micah and Eric.

Micah has a secret desire to be dominated, held down, and taken by multiple men at the same time. Being transgender, he's always struggled with baring both himself and his desires. He also has a physical disability caused by his cerebral palsy, which is well written and explored.

Eric's a Dom who is able to give Micah everything he's ever wanted. And oh my, I just love him and his connection to Micah.

Their story is multi-layered with characters full of pain and doubts. The plot is serious, yet fun. And be ready for some serious heat!

**************************

In Game for You, we get a fabulous menage romance between Ben, Parker, and Dakota.

Ben and Parker are great friends, both in love with each other, but sexually incompatible. Both are Doms, and soon they find the answer to their problems in Dakota.

With Ben and Dakota immediately attracted across the bar, things get fun.

In general, there's a lot going on in this story. Ben's biracial, never fitting in fully, always just seen as a black guy. Parker's trans and has been abused and disowned by his family. And Dakota is intersex. I love how all are explored.

The gender identity issues are in full force throughout and make this story extra special.

**************************

In Back to You we a second chance romance between two trans women, Angel and Nina.

The two have a messy past, and a lot of new things to unveil about themselves. Their tale involves some forgiveness and a new chance.

I love how their kinks align, including roleplay and a foot fetish, which is rare to see in a book.

This story involves two POC in this hot, erotic, and sweet tale.

**************************

In Time For You, we finally get to see Charlie finds love, with the trivia guy Carla.

Charlie's a butch queer, while Carla's a transgender man. It's cute and sweet, as Carla finally gets Charlie on board with a date.

Charlie's interested, but is full of doubts, all because Carla loves kink and she's never been involved with kink before. Charlie has a lot of baggage and has a journey to get past it.

Their tale is hot and intense, with everyone accepting each other. It's fun, playful, and passionate and a lot of fun.

I love how Charlie can trust Carla. They understand that everyone can have different feelings about their bodies. I applaud the author for the way they explore this with Charlie.

And then we get some Shibari, which is hot, but gentle and freeing. I love how Charlie discovers new likes and new things about herself.

**************************

I love the representation of varied genders, races, couplings, and gender expression. It's as varied as you'll ever get, and it's wonderful. Reese includes a variety of employment types, backgrounds, and body types.

Overall, Whirlwind is a fabulous collection of 5 stories, all of which start at the Whirlwind bar. All the people involved are part of a type group, making for plenty of fun moments.

Whirlwind is a group of five short stories, three of which you may have read previously as stand-alone shorts. The stories center around a bar called Whirlwind. All of the characters are so well developed, especially for short stories. Reese Morrison has done such a wonderful job creating characters with depth while making sure each story is still full of spice and steam. I know we all have our favorite tropes and it’s likely yours is included; we have friends-to-lovers, a throuple with two Doms and an intersex sub, a second chance, and a bit of May/December with the Grumpy one and the Sunshine one.
I’ve actually read the first story in the bundle, Waiting for You, a couple of times – well, this makes three. I just love how Taylor and Julio are a bundle of so much you see in the m/m genre but throw out the rule book. Julio is a big submissive guy with a belly who likes to dress in pretty things, while Taylor is the smaller Dom. These guys have been best friends since high school and essentially in love this whole time, both too afraid of putting themselves out there and possibly losing a friendship. The pining with these two is off the charts! And when they get together in the bedroom – get your fan ready for the heat.
The final story in the bundle, Time for You, gives us Charlie’s HEA. Charlie owns the bar and has created the safe haven for the queer community she didn’t have growing up in the rural south. While the grumpy, self-described “butch” lesbian has created an open space for all under the LGBTQ+ umbrella, she can’t see how she and Carla, the sunshine gender queer high school counselor, can possibly make a good match. In Charlie’s world, butches can only be with femmes. Carla pushes against that box, he shows Charlie that she’s desirable as she is and that it’s high-time someone else take care of her. One aspect of this story I love is that there’s no complete turn-around of Charlie’s traits as if Carla’s love has fixed her – she doesn’t like to undress, she doesn’t want Carla to pay any attention to certain body parts. He shows her that those things don’t matter and she can still be a sexually satisfied, desired individual. You’ll need the fan for all the stories in Whirlwind and Time for You is certainly not the exception – 5 fire emoji’s for sure.
Whirlwind is a primer for how to tell stories with diverse characters; treat them with conscientiousness, acknowledge the traits that make them divergent but never making that the center of their being. This bundle of stories is the whole package, tons of good feelings and hot love scenes. You definitely need to give yourself a treat and make time to read these stories.

I'm blown away by this book. There's so much to say, but the most important piece is I loved every single moment. The stories are short, but rich in feeling. The diversity - I've never read a book with such truly diverse characters. The humanity, the doubt, the love - these are real moments.

5 stories about different couples and the one night that changes everything… I'm going to break my thoughts down for each one.

Waiting for You:

Taylor was so adorable. I loved Julio. Both are plagued with doubts about the other. They are entirely too cute. As the story progresses for them, there's a lot of praise & love. It's done just right. Did I mention so adorable? I won't give anything away. They're perfect together.

Here for You:

Inclusion. Seeing characters that match real people. So thankful for this story in that way. This story was intense in feelings and also perfect. There's so much to love in the way they show their affection for the other.

Game for You:

Dakota was exactly who was needed to help these boys out! I love their banter and fun games. Everything was so complicated for each of them and I see a great start to their relationship. I love it when things work out.

Back for You:

I love second chance stories. This story felt delicate and beautiful. There's hope for the future. Both Angel and Nina are so strong. They’re both such confident characters.

Time for You:

By this time, we've been getting bits of Charlie's story in the prologues of the others. I was so ready to finally read this one! I love the patience of the characters, the uncertainty, the doubt, and the absolute adoration that comes across on the pages.

This is a powerful collection of stories, each centering around the development of a different relationship. The unifying thread tying them all together is the bar, Whirlwind, which provides all of the characters with common ground in the form of a safe place to be themselves and interact with each other. There’s also a strong D/s current running through the collection, and although it’s expressed differently in each story, every iteration is safe, sane, and consensual. In fact, one of the things I liked most about this book is how much the emotional dynamics and the act of collaboration in each relationship, physical and emotional, take center stage. It’s important to all of the characters that everyone gets what they need, and there’s something really heartwarming about seeing that play out in each of these different ways. While I thought all the stories were good, Angel and Nina were my favorite -- I love a second chance romance, especially one that takes a shape neither person could have anticipated in the aftermath of the first failure.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I absolutely loved this collection of stories. Each one had something different that made me love it they were all so sweet in some way and definitely had a good amount of heat. I loved the different characters and the different romances. This was such a joy to read and I wanted to get to keep reading more of each story because I didn’t want to stop learning more about the characters and their stories. I fell in love with each story and each character and was thrilled to get to do that. This author did a fantastic job with these stories as they always do with their stories. Each story felt well flushed out and the characters were well rounded and felt real. I love all the positivity and acceptance for these characters and there was a lot of got moments that were definitely great to read. These are all very character driven and also kink driven rather than plot but still so great to read. I can’t pick a favorite out of the couples I just want more of all of them. Loved the second chance and the hot moments in these stories.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review.
Just loved this bundle of the whirlwind series, each book touches on issues eryone character has and that is trust and acceptance of themselves. Waiting for you: Taylor is love with his friend Julio but affraid of his reaction on his hidden desires. Here for you: Micah a sub that has a disability along with a scerct but can Eric be just the Dom he needs? Game for you: Ben And Parker are two Dom's that have been fighting the pull towards each other but will Dakota be just the bratty sub that brings them all together? Back to you: Angel has moved closer to Ben to start fresh after a nasty split is Nina just the medicine she need to? Last is the one that is over due a happiness in Time for you: Carla is about to break Charlie of her rule of no messing with employees but will she break?
Just loved how none of the Dom allowed the subs to have any fears of rejections and gave them all they desired plus some.

This short story collection is an ode to queer love and lives and I loved every moment of it.
Be warned, this is Ao3 dirty but all the erotic scenes are loving and respectful and I enjoyed seeing such diversity in the way people are and love. I loved seeing differences acknowledged without ever making anyone feel lesser.
Every story is very, very short, the more you like it the shorter it feels but thankfully, the characters from previous chapters appear and matter to the general plot of the ones that follow.
I liked that I not only got to read about people and identities that I never see represented but that is focused on queer people of all kinds of ages and in different places in their journeys and addressed their different challenges without never letting the reader or the characters forget about the beauty of being queer.
Thank you to the author for this DRC.

This is a collection of sinfully wicked short stories! In it we get Waiting for You, Taylor and Julio are friends to lovers. Taylor has been crushing on his best friend. He worries that Julio couldn’t accept his femme side. In Here for You, Eric who avoids dating takes on a new sub, Micah who is a transgender. In Game for You Ben and Parker have been flirting for years. They are both Doms and know they cannot be together. Dakota enters the mix and he’s the perfect blend of sass and snark. In Back for You, we get some hot FF love and second chances with Nina and Angel. In Time for You, we get to meet Charlie and Carla. Friends to lovers. I love Reese’s writing style, so diverse. Absolutely fantastic!! I’m voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

Some time ago I came across a new author named Reese Morrison. Actually I started with the first book in this collection. After that I could not get enough. The writing style is easy and flowing, which "unfortunately" makes you fly through the stories. I love the characters and the humor. I adore that all the stories in this collection revolved around one bar and that you get to read the Charlie's story as well. The stories are sexy, kinky and focused on being the person you really are instead of the person society expects you to be. Lastly I love that this collection consists of every day couples and people which are so very relatable. You will not be sorry if you read this collection. Definitely recommended.

This is a wonderful collection of stories about finding love in all shapes and sizes. In each of these stories we see that love does not fit in any kind of box and that it can be found anywhere and by anyone. I loved seeing the different kinds of characters represented in this collection. However you feel that you identify as there is always someone out there for you. Love does not discriminate. These characters may face struggles in life, but they are strong and are ready to fight. I loved seeing the relationships build and grow strong as the stories built. The author does a good job of showing and developing characters that are not always written about. Each of the stories moves at a good pace and pulled me right in, proving that there are no restrictions when it comes to love.

All 5 of these books are amazing!! I love reading and learning something new. I love how all the couples/trios were so different yet so similar in their longing to just be accepted for who they are no matter what. I love the size difference between Julio and Taylor, Eric’s strength and confidence alongside Micah’s sweet a d delicate but strong body. I love how Parker and Ben play off each other and know how to come together along with Dakota’s snark. Angel and Nina was a beautiful second chance at love and it was amazing! Finally Charlie got her HEA with Carla and I really loved how that played out ( don’t want to give too many spoilers!) Amazing collection of stories and I really love how Reese writes. They’re definitely becoming one of my favorite authors!

This is a collection of short stories that all revolve around one group of friends and a bar. The stories are all a little kinky, and covered just about every color of the lgbtq+ rainbow. They are all sweet in their own way, and all had a HEA. I also found the more realistic body types a good addition as well.

I’m not sure if this was an earlier work that was republished, or just rushed because they are in short story format, but they left something to be desired for me. The characters felt flat and a bit forced at times. If you’re looking for a collection you can read in small bites, this will definitely fit the bill. It just won’t be a reread for me.

Oh my this is a good read and so very engaging. I read through the first short story and then couldn’t wait to read the next, before I knew it I’d finished the book. I’m not saying I liked all of the stories but they are well crafted, living up to the book title of Whirlwind and then heat levels are high. All the characters are brave in their own ways but my favourite couple are Eric and Micah with their instant lust with Ben and Parker’s bets closely following.
What I like most about this book and it’s author is the attention to detail when it comes to transgender lives and everyday struggles. The body positivity message is clear in each story, I really enjoyed it.

If you haven't picked up anything by this author yet, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! I started out with Love Language, read every single other thing they have written, and now have been eagerly awaiting anything else they put out! All of us fans have been waiting on this release! It's one thing to have really amazing writing that draws you in with juicy characters. Add in pushing unnecessary boundries? Not playing by gender norms? Being inclusive of all people, especially those with disabilities? Absolutely amazing!!! Pick this one up for sure!!

This series of short stories is a really terrific read. I don’t usually like short stories but things are carried through in this group and I enjoyed them a lot. I have read all of Reese Morrison’s books and had read some of these stories before but they hang together better in this collection. I especially enjoyed the diversity in all of the aspects that are in these stories. Genders, kinks, ages, number in the relationship, etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on but just trust me if you like romance in all it’s forms then you will probably love this book too.

This is an amazing anthology of MM, FF, MMX, XX relationships and all of the characters and stories are top notch. While it is difficult to pick a favorite, I think I like the first story the most because of the body image issues of Taylor's character. The pain of dealing with this and how it impacts Taylor's belief in anyone's ability to love him is so realistically described that when Julio responds in a way he never expected my heart soared like a big, helium filled balloon. Pick any story here and you'll have a winner!

I adored this book. It was so interesting to see the 5 different couples / throuples and how their relationships came to be. As for the bar Whirlwind it was so vivid I could actually picture it clearly in my mind. I love how Reese actively writes vibrant characters. The fact that Reese incorporates trans, gender fluid and cis characters in a seamless way to me is wonderful. I just can’t get enough of Reese’s books.

The collection of five stories that are in this book are amazing and addicting.
So yes I do recommend Whirlwind because I loved reading it and I know you will too.

I was so looking forward to reading Whirlwind and I was not disappointed! A wonderful collection of intersecting characters that are diverse, beautiful in their own way and it all comes together in a perfectly written bundle. Thank you Reese for bringing new and different perspectives into my life!!!

the world needs more genderqueer books!

This is a book of 5 genderqueer stories, a variety of situations and expressions, many kinks. It was absolutely beautiful reading about people finding someone that truly fits them, their preferences and kinks. I want to ready more trans stories like those included
