The book started with a promising concept, as suggested by the summary. However, the excessive use of the word "soulmate" became somewhat monotonous to read. Nevertheless, surprisingly, there were certain distinctive elements in the narrative that captivated my interest until the very end. It is my opinion that the book could have had a greater impact if the author had paid more attention to the other aspects of the plot, rather than emphasizing excessively on the protagonist's introspective musings.

This book was a refreshing fantasy read!
Humans. Four Kingdoms. A lost queen. Soul mates.
It's well written. A little slow in some parts. Little repetitive. But it definitely didn't stop me from buying the next two books! I am intrigued!

OMG, be still my beating heart!! Such a terrifying let beautiful story this was!!
Meeting Emberlynn and everything she went through made my heart ache for her but she was such a strong-willed character. And having a family to support her made me love her and her story even more. Oh and meeting Sander, well let's just say you need to get the book yourself and find out....
The storyline was written so beautifully and the plot was so strong. I found myself falling into the story and wanting to live there forever. So many twists and turns was happening, I was afraid to put the book down that I would miss something important. And the ending made me snot cry but in a good way. I was so very happy for Emberlynn but I am curious about what will happen next and can't wait to see where this adventure leads her!! I highly recommend this read!!

This was such a great book! Emberlyn had been discarded all her life. When she moves in with Jamie and Lara, she thinks it is temporary. When they go on vacation all the secrets about her life was laid out in front of her. To top it all off she finds her soulmate, Sander. This started a chain of events that noone could of stopped. I can not wait to read the next book!

If you are into fated mates, action, adventure, romance, drama, danger, and some much more this book is the first in the series and a great book to read. You will be sucked into the fantasy and mystery of the unknown. This is a great first book and I can not wait to see what happens next.

This is an amazing book, I loved it. The characters were fun and unique. The story was wonderful. I see this book becoming an instant classic. I think it would be an awesome movie as well. Now I want a sequel, I recommend for teens and up.

Beautiful, sweet, perfect YA romance
I thought this was beautifully written. The cast of characters feel like home, that's the only word I can think of. I feel so connected to all of them. There was the right mixture of tension and sweet romance, quirky fun and light drama. I giggled, I cried, my heart was filled with such happiness and sadness.

Shadow Moon by M.R. Polish is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I am so hooked on and can not wait to read the rest of this wonderful series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy in their stories.

You have outdone yourself. I know you were so excited to have everyone read this book.l an I am in awe l.l this story was all and more. I can’t imagine the story being bigger but I am on pins and needle for book two. Ember is a beautiful person trying to figure out life. Boy did she ever. Life can change in amazing ways in the blink of an eye. Omg I can’t wit for book two. I’ll be pestering you every chance I get

A love story worth swooning over
I enjoyed this YA paranormal romance. It has action and soulmates and magic. I love the idea of these worlds and love that little sun fell in love with the moon. Well done M.R. Polish. Clean romance.

Over the top
The writing itself was good, but the storyline fell flat for me. Too much emphasis on the lovey-dovey scenes. The other supporting characters were not fleshed out enough and nor was the main villain.
I hope the second book will do better.

This is an exciting read that is well written with amazing detail. Characters are unique and interesting. I really enjoyed this first book in this fated mates series.

I love this book and can't wait for the next one! For YA it has a good build up of sexual tension that makes you want to scream "just do it!" (Emberlynn is just turning 18)
I has a great plot and characters that I ended up loving.
I can't wait to see the world building in the next book and to be pulled in further by the story.
I couldn't put it down and ended up finishing it before the people I was buddy reading it with.
Would highly recommend!

I like this original take on how the pair bonds, and the world building including our reality and the four kingdoms is fascinating. Sander is swoon-worthy and Kade so loathsome. It's an insta-romance but it's very sweet. I will definitely be picking up the next book!
