Tree picking in glorious, downeast Maine. Snow. Santa. Roaring fires, people you love, and a good life. What more could a guy want?
Or, rather, two guys?
Mike and Jeremy have a quiet life with Lydia, on her parents' family campground in Verily, Maine. It's a little boring, sure, but after the craziness of their old lives, what's wrong with boring?
Besides, Jeremy and Mike find Lydia anything but.
As Christmas looms, and an unexpected oops leaves them all in a state of uncertainty, they have to ask is it time to let life be a little less boring?
And what's inside that slim box Lydia's giving them both on Christmas morning?
Christmasly Obedient is a new holiday book in Julia Kent's USA Today bestselling Obedient series.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 5 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French, German, and Italian, with more titles releasing in the future.
From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire in a rom com).
She also writes romantic suspense as Meli Raine, sexy shifter romances as DJ Jennings, billionaire shifters as half of the author team Diana Seere, and co-authors with Elisa Reed.
She lives in New England with her husband and three children in a household where she is the only person with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.
4.5 Stars for Christmasly Obedient (Obedient #4) This is the first book I have read in this series and I still loved everything about this hot entertaining read, in fact I now need to play catch up with the rest of series because this quick witty read left me wanting more from the characters I met in this magical read. Mike, Jeremy and Lydia are living the quite life on her parents family campground in Verily, Maine but it’s the holiday season so all sorts of magic is about to hit this small town. Mike and Jeremy may be billionaires but both have taken to living in Verily is it the town or is because they are living the life with Lydia they both crave..... This is a quick read but this book still packs a mighty punch, it’s witty and funny, it’s extremely hot and it has wonderful characters. I love the holiday season, I love small town romance and I love MFM romance so this book was always going to be on my radar so I guess all that’s left for me to say is please one click this gem of a read.
4 star review Christmasly Obedient (Obedient #4) by Julia Kent
Although I had read numerous books by Julia Kent, this is the first book I have read in this series, however I had no trouble reading this as a stand alone. The writing was descriptive and I could easily see myself choosing a Christmas tree in Verily, Maine with the characters.
This was an entertaining read that had me invested in Mike, Jeremy and Lydia’s MFM story from the first to the last chapter. Although a quick read, Ms.Kent certainty packed a lot into this story and I will be looking into the rest of this series as soon as I can.
I love stories based in a small town and since Christmas is my favourite time of the year and this was a menage story, Christmasly Obedient was a win/win for me.
Living in Verily, Mike and Jeremy are content with the life they lead with Lydia, but it’s the holiday season and magic is in the air. The relationships between he three of them was steamy, heart warming and intense and I found myself drawn to them.
In anticipation of reading Christmasly Obedient, I re-read (and loved just as much as the first time) the Obedient Series and It’s Always Complicated (another series I want to re-read) so I’d be fresh for their Christmas story. Julia Kent has delivered again with a story that made me laugh out loud and also grab for tissues. Her characters are quirky and fun, but also with more depth than you might expect. This book doesn’t end with a cliffhanger but definitely the potential for more from Lydia, Mike and Jeremy. Can’t wait to see what’s next for them, Caleb and Krysta, Madge and the rest of the Charles clan.
This series was my first visit into the books of Julia Kent. The Christmas spirit abounds in this newest feel good book. I did go back and scan through the previous books, mainly because it had been awhile since I read them. This installment was a joy to read, with many laughs and a few disappointments. Grab this warm hearted read and if you have not enjoyed the previous books in this series, grab them too.
Christmasly Obedient: Small Town Holiday Romantic Comedy Romance
It's amazing how you can make your books funny and romantic but also charming. Mike as Santa was awesome. Waiting to see what the outcome would be like was a little nail biting.
Great story for the festive period .....Lydia's freedom has always been grounded ...and the holiday season doesn't disappoint...Join the Maine Campground Crew in their next adventures ! Enjoy !
This is the first I am reading anything from Julia Kent and frankly it was wonderful. I was a little lost at first but was roped in easily. Could easily be a stand-alone in the series from how easily it was to read from the descriptive nature Kent wrote in and the setting of Verily, Maine was everything I pictures and remembered from passing when I was little.
** I recieved this ARC in exchange for a honest review that is my own from Julia Kent and Xpresso Book Tours.

This is a cute Christmas novella, which continues the story of triad Lydia, Mike, and Jeremy. I won't give spoilers, but they deal with a surprise event, and it is a sweet story.
I love Julie Kent, and read everything I find from her. Her stories are often hilarious, and feature likable characters. There are also usually quite a few sweet moments between couples (or the triad, in this story). This novella was no exception, and I enjoyed it.
You can read this novella without having read the 1st three books in the series -- but it would be more enjoyable if you read the series in order, since you'll have a better understanding of the unusual relationship that Lydia, Mike, and Jeremy share.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics
When I first went through all my books and picked out the Christmas themed one to make a Christmas reading list, I included Christmasly Obedient. I later took it off the list because it is number four in a series and I neither own nor have read the previous three books. I didn’t think I had the time to do so during the period I’d allotted myself for the reading challenge. Then, I came across two reviews that stated the book had been read as a standalone and it was fine. So, I put it back on the list and read it.
Turns out the book does stand alone. Now, I won’t pretend I didn’t feel the lack of those previous three books. By this point the threesome is established, the characters have had three books to grow and get to know one another, etc. And yes, you notice that. But the plot contained within this book does stand alone and it’s quite sweet.
I liked seeing everyone come to terms with the situation. I liked the family cameos. There wasn’t a lot of sex, but it was the right amount of spice for a short read. I did think the guys came across as unlikable at times. But I also sensed that their gruff personalities were meant to have been tempered in previous books. So, what I was supposed to see was that the situations wasn’t unrealistically hearts and roses, not just grumps.
This is the forth book in this series by this author. This is a fantastic festive story to go with this series of books. This is the continued story of Lydia, Mike and Jeremy, with a christmasy twist. This is a fun romantic read from this author. Great to catch up with the chracters in this novella. This author writes an amazing story in every book.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review www.obsessedbookreviews.com

The continuous love story of Lydia, Michael, and Jeremy and the love story of Caleb and Krysta. A condom broke and Lydia is in her fertile cycle. Could Lydia get pregnant and who would be the father? After many year of wanting Caleb can Krysta win his love? The only thing memorable about this book is the characters.

Its all fun and games until a small accident throws everyone into a headspin. Welcome to the world of big families, crazy threesomes and wonderful wacky grandparents! Settle in with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy!
Lydia, Mike, and Jeremy are back and this is a Christmas edition. ‘This the season and the campground is gearing up for Christmas Camp. The triad is also dealing with the possible ramifications of a broken condom and just how it could affect their dynamics if they become a quartet.
I don’t love reading about threesomes or love triangles but these people are so crazy you can’t NOT read them! I kept laughing throughout the entire story, except the swoony feel good parts. If you’ve never read a book by Julia Kent, you have got to start now!
