Mia MacTavish: single mom and hot mess extraordinaire, at your service.

My life is falling apart.
When the sh*t hits the fan, I have no choice but to do the one thing I swore I never would.
Move back home.

It’s been five long years since I set foot in Midland Springs. Not much has changed in the small town I once called home—like the things that drove me away in the first place. But it only takes me a few hours to find the one sexy, tattooed, and bearded change I can’t seem to resist.

Parker Lancaster: Cocky. Crass. In desperate need of someone to clean up my mess.

Mia MacTavish is prim, proper, and extremely off limits…
But I can’t keep my hands off of her.

I know I should stay away. She’s got a kid and no plans to stay in Midland. Even knowing who she is, I’d be a fool not to take the one night she offers. Then things get even more complicated when she comes back wanting more…

Can you really keep a secret in a small town?

Pit stop is a MF contemporary small town single mom workplace romance and the third book in the Midland Springs Romance series. This series is interconnected, but each book can be read as a standalone.

Joanne Ganci is a hopeless romantic that more than anything wants to bring joy to the world. Whether that be through the words on the pages of her books or a friendly gesture to a stranger.

She's a bit quirky and rather anti-social, but through the characters that demand to have their stories told she is working on cracking out of her shell and emerging as a semi-dysfunctional pterodactyl. Bet you thought that was going to say butterfly. Nope, that'd be normal and Joanne is quite the opposite.

Fueled by the love of her family, she embarked on the journey as an author and somehow hasn't panicked her way into quitting. Let's hope she keeps the crazy tamped down and continues on her journey.

Plus I'll be going back to read the first two books in the series because some of the characters mentioned just stole my heart and made me want to read how they found there happy ending .

I have never read this author before, and I have to say I really enjoyed this single parent story. I really was hooked from the first page until the end. I loved Mia and Parker’s story.

Mia MacTavish had no choice but to move back home with her son. Her aunt passed away and she lost her job, so the only place she could go was home. She had a bigger network of people willing to help her out.

When she takes her car to the local mechanic to get it fixed, she was utterly surprised to run into Parker Lancaster. From the moment they met their chemistry was explosive. Parker came across as a grumpy sexy mechanic but Mia soon finds out that is not who he is. But Mia has no time for a relationship. She needs to take care of her son and more importantly she needs a job and Parker needs a receptionist. So they spend one night together, hoping that would be enough to get over their mutual lust for each other. But surprise not happening.

Both of these people had so much to give to the other, but they both also have some issues they need to deal with. What they couldn’t deny was that they felt more for each other than just lust.
Definitely a story that I got caught up in. Read non-stop from beginning to end. It was sweet, funny, sexy, romantic and so much more.

4.5 star review Pit Stop (Midland Springs #3) by Joanne Ganci

Joanne Ganci is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not come across her before. This is single mum Mia MacTavish and hot as sin, Parker Lancaster’s story and one I was hooked on from the first chapter.

This was a fun, entertaining read set in the small town of Midland Springs. It was well written with characters that I found easy to relate too. Even though this is book three in the series, I had no problems reading this as a stand alone.

With no other choice, after five years, Mia MacTavish has returned to her home town with her son Alexander but she doesn’t plan to stay long. Midland Springs hasn’t felt like home since a drunk driver killed her parents. Nothing ever changes in Midland Springs but she is shocked to learn that there's a new man in town, a tattooed, hot man, that despite herself intrigues her.

From the moment Mia and Parker meet the sparks fly. The chemistry sizzles between them and even though Parker knows she has no plans to stay he cannot help but want her. Can Mia and Parker learn to trust one another and in doing so find a path to happiness together? Once click and find out.

Single Mum - Mia (FMC) lands back in Midland Springs to get a new start and to bring her son up near her brother James (who was in another book in this series - Their Book Nerd). From their first meeting Mia & Parker (The sexy mechanic) were obviously going to heat my kindle. They certainly do that. As much as their sexy times in the garage was hot as hell i couldnt help but giggle at the wonder woman knickers, lol. Typical that you meet someone cute when your in your comfortable knickers. Moving on though the banter and the flirtation they have together is both funny and cute.

Parker comes across as cocky and confident but at his heart hes shy, unsure, caring with an endearing sweetness that literally melted my heart. Him and Alex (Mia's son) together all the way through but especially at the end of the book brought a few tears to my eyes. Whereas Mia is smart, witty but has her own anxieties which come out when shes with Parker. Laughs come in the form of Parker's friend - Riley and Mia's friend - Jamie. Both of which had me cracking up. This was a great read with 2 characters i really loved and wanted to get their HEA ending

4.5 Stars for Pit Stop ( Midland Springs #3)
This may be book 3 in the Midland Springs Series but Pit Stop can certainly be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone, I know this because this is the first book I have read by Joanne Ganci and I have to say it won’t be the last, I need to play catch up in this series.
Single mum Mia MacTavish has returned home to Midland Springs, she hasn’t called this town home for many years because of an accident that killed both her parents but now life has left her no option so she has brought her son Alexander home to start afresh.
Parker is the new man in town, he is everything girls dream off, hot as sin, tattooed and intriguing and as soon as Mia meets him sparks fly but will chemistry and attraction be enough, especially when both Mia and Parker have been burnt in the past......
I loved this book, it has great characters m a great story , sizzling chemistry and a wonderful little boy named Alexander. I’m looking forward to playing catch with this series as soon as time permits and Pit Stop will certainly be the first of many reads by Ms Ganci.

Holy smokes! I love this book. There's a lot of sweet, fun, sizzling hot, and laugh-out-loud moments. There are also some surprises. This is a contemporary romance, and it is book three in the Midland Springs series. You don't have to read Their Book Nerd and/or Blondie before this one, but I suggest you do. There are a lot of characters who appear in all the books. Like Book Nerd, most of the story is fairly smooth sailing, with low drama and no villain. Having said that, the ending has a couple of surprises that me cry.

This story is about two very messed up people with big hearts. Mia MacTavish has been trying to avoid returning to her hometown, Midland Springs, for five years. Parker Lancaster is a romantic mechanic with a gruff exterior. They both make some mistakes, while failing to communicate well. A lot of the drama is because Parker and Mia jump to conclusions, make assumptions, and think they want different things. There are also some scene-stealing support characters: Riley, Jamie, Alex, James, and his unconventional relationship partners.

I think my favorite thing about this series is seeing how Joanne Ganci is growing and improving as a writer. Book 1 is such a sweet, easy read, but it had a shuffling plot that didn't have much of a climax. Blondie was a sad story for the majority of the book. I thought Pit Stop would be more of a romantic comedy, and more like Book Nerd. I think it was, mostly, up until around 75%.

I was bracing myself for the climax. Then I thought it was done. Nope, the chapter that I thought was the climax was merely a red herring! The actual climax snuck up on me and made me cry all over my kindle! Then the super sappy ending made me need to wipe off the tears again. Instead of melting my kindle, this book made it soggy. Worth it!

Several typos, but nothing too distracting. I thought having two characters with similar names (James and Jamie) might cause some confusion, but it was really well done.

💯smoking hot brillant single mom romance with a tatoo bearded hunk of a mechanic that had me hooked from the start. I couldn't put 'Pit Stop' down until the end!

"Hate to see you go, but love to watch you leave"

Mia wasn't planing on staying in Midland Springs she had just brought herself and her young son home to regroup after losing her job. Having to stay back in her parents house brought back to many painful memories and the loss she still feels since the accident that took them. But she still has her brother in Midland so it was the right move.

But Mia is only back in town a couple of hours before she meets the hot slightly younger Parker when she has an issue with her car! The moment Parker see's Mia there is only one thing on his mind - how can he get her across the hood of his car! 😜Mia hasn't come back in town looking for love but she can't help but fall in lust with Parker but she has no plans to stay in town!

What I loved about this story is that why we are given this visual of Parker being a bad boy with his piecings and tatoos he is anything but - he is a pussy cat really, he feels deeply and the love he has for his nieces is really great deep down all he want's is to settle down with a family of his own. The more time he spends with Mia and her son Alex he knows he wants more than to be Mia's secret!

Mia has never really gotten over her parents death and the closer she gets to Parker the more the past shows itself and she starts to pull away! But Parker won't let Mia go without a fight!

I dare anyone not have a few tears when reading the epilogue it was an a exceptional ending to an exceptionally good book!

So I took a chance on a new author because the blurb sounded intriguing.. I didn't know what to expect since everybody's writing is different.. I will say I probably do need to read the other books now just to see the dynamics of the town and the people in it especially with James and the bunch. Anyway, back to Parker and Mia, I gotta say I wasn't the biggest fan of Parker at the beginning, he came on really strong with Mia and it kinda threw me off on him. I struggled but I pressed on, Mia was a delight and Alex really stole the show.. that kid was adorable! The more I read, the more I got to know Parker and why he acted like he did. There was obviously an instant attraction and these two spent most of their time in the bedroom, his office and anywhere else they could get it on at. What started out as a simple friends, turned into friends with benefits and then eventually love.. that moment was great but it came with backlash.. You see Mia wasn't completely over grieving her parents and thought she was capable of having love and the things that went with it. She was scared to put herself out there but it took some strong words from her brother to get things straight for her. The more I read, the more sides to Parker I got to see and he soon was melting my heart. I'm not even going to start on the images he was giving me in my head..I mean a hot mechanic in overalls and nothing else..Swoon....This book was great and had a super happy ending!!

Simply put: I Adored this book. I love that I have found a new author with an amazing flare for telling a story. This is book 3 in a series but can be read as a standalone. (TRUST me after reading Pit Stop I’ll be one clicking the first 2 standalones in this series).

Ms. Ganci has given us a well written, romantic contemporary romance that has a lot of the genres that I love. It's a small town, bad boy, single mom, workplace romance with a Whopper of an ending. I mean can you ask for anything more. The synopsis gives you the jist of the story, so I won’t rehash it. Just know the characters, both main and secondary, are the best. The characters are very well defined and they will worm their way into your heart and have you living and feeling the storyline right along with them. And Lordy did I ever love little 4 year old Alex.

Kudos Ms. Ganci for a job well done. I highly recommend grabbing up Pitt Stop and enjoying the read. On a Personal level I look forward to reading more from Ms. Ganci as I loved her writing style.

Joanne Ganci is a new to me author, so I definitely came late to the Midland Springs series, but I'm going to be reading the previous books asap. I consider myself a city girl, but there's something to be said about small towns in my books that I can't get enough of. Mia hasn't been home since she lost her parents, however, she comes home to get herself together with her son, so it's only temporary, or is it?! Parker is the super hot new guy in town, and despite him thinking she's too prim & proper, the sparks are flying between them though they are complete opposites. He is a growly bear who can come off rude but he still intrigues her, and somehow they work. However, since she has an expiration date on being in town, he knows that he should stay away but the road to (sexy) hell is paved with good intentions. Can these two learn to trust each other for a shot at a bright future together?! Hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

LOVED THIS STORY. I haven't read this author before and I totally fell in love. Mia is a single mom who is frazzled and has so much going on that she can't just focus on what she needs to. She has a great support system that makes her heart melt. When her car starts acting up she takes it to the mechanic in town, but what she doesn't expect is the cocky man and the mouth he has. The attraction is there between Mia and Parker and I gotta say I loved it. Parker knows what he wants and he will do whatever he can to make his dreams come true. When he meets Mia he's not about to let her go, however she has so much going on he doesn't want to push. But when push comes to shove can he survive without her? Mia needs to get her life together for herself and her child. Is she able to before she falls down the rabbit hole?

This book

This book made me laugh, cry, made me pissed (especially on Mia!), swoon and cry again.

This story is such an amazing read, so sweet and no evil villains or stuff just stupid human errors which can be solved with good communication although sometimes people need other people to see that.

Mia is a single mom who moved back to her hometown, after finding a light burning in her car she stops at the local garage and finds Parker there, she doesn't remember him but he's a pleasant surprise.

She doesn't want to be in Midland and sees her stay in Midland as a pitstop before she moves on, and doesn't want to commit to anything. Parker is hard to say no to. Read for a sweet funny hot romance and be prepared to end being jealous of Mia because Parker, that man is fiiiiinnneeeeeee

I am a little late to the party with this book as it is book 3 in the series. It can definitely be read as a stand-alone but there was enough of the previous characters pop up that it has piqued my interest to go back and read their stories too.
I really enjoyed reading Parker in this book. He was my absolute favorite character. Mia honestly hurt my head at times and I honestly thought Parker was too good for her for the majority of the story. Sometimes her reactions, or should I say overreactions, made sense, but for the most part I just wanted her to pull up her big girl pants and get on with it.
All in all it was a very well written story and I would definitely read more from Joanne in the future. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Ok firstly I have to say how much I love Midland Springs. And the people who live there are my kind of people. Now I wanna know when I can move there
I adore Parker, he's so far my favourite in this town and that's saying a lot.......but Alex? He stole my heart. Truly if Mia and Parker run out of babysitters, hit me up, I'll be there in a heartbeat.
I loved their story and even through a blip or two I was happy but then Alex's birthday happened and I cried harder than Parker did I think. It slayed me. Loved it and it was perfect. Thank you Joanne for a lovely and adorable read with plenty of steam x
and I want to know if Riley and or Jamie will ever get their stories - either together or Part but these two have loads of love to give and they need their own tales.

This is the 3rd book in a series as well as this being a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Mia is a single mom to her son Alex, and she returns to the small town after 5-years away, but she has no choice. Parker is the new boy in town, and he is sexy, cocky, and tattooed, and from the moment he and Mia meet when her care breaks down, the sparks fly, and their chemistry is undeniable. This is a well written story which is fun, entertaining and with secrets, which all had me captivated throughout this riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more form this author and I recommend this story for all readers.

I really enjoyed this single mom romantic comedy. I'm a new reader to Joanne Ganci and although I soon realised this book was part of a series their is enough of the previous characters to be able to read Pit Stop as a standalone.

Mia isn't having it easy at the moment to decides to move back to her home town with her little boy to be near her brother. When she has difficulty with her car she meets Parker. There is an instant attraction but Mia is very hesitant.
Will she let Parker break down her walls and show her what love really is.

As I said this is part of a series and can be read as a standalone but I will definitely be going back and reading the others in the very near future.

I was drawn to this book because I love a good single mom romance. Plus Parker's description sounded yummy. He's a dirty talker and he makes it like a work of art. This is the first book I've read in the series and I can tell you I going to go back to the the other books in the series. I loved the banter and sexual tension between Parker and Mia. They have great chemistry. Mia's little boy is a mischievous cutie. I loved Mia's best friend. He is a riot. This book brings the heat, but it also brings heartfelt moments. This book has a great mixture of heat, heart, and humor. The epilogue is definitely the cherry on top of this book. I was left with a smile on my face when I finished this one.

A sweet single mom romance

The 3rd book in the Midland series centers on Parker and single mom Mia. It's a sweet story with very little external conflict but quite a bit of internal ones. The writing like always is amazingly good and the sexual tension and chemistry is intense. There were parts where I was left wondering why they characters were still being stupid by not being together yet when they were obviously ridiculously in love but everything worked out in the end in a way that left me teary, so yeah. If you like sweet alpha heroes and awkward but sassy heroines, this book is for you.

WOW!!! This book was good, and steaminess galore!
Mia has returned home after 5 yrs with her son Alexander in tow. She has memories at every turn. One day her check engine light comes on, knowing she needs reliable and safe car she goes to old man Jenkins shop. Only when she get there the gorgeous man working there is definitely not old man Jenkins.
Parker never expected to be interrupted on Sunday, since the shop is closed. He definitely never thought it would be by the beautiful women who turned off his music.
Such a comical and enjoyable story!

Felt this story in my soul!

This story just spoke to my heart and soul. I was once a single mother, waiting for the right guy to sweep me and my kiddo off our feet so I just got so many feels during this read! You can write a steamy scene like...WOW🥵 I was able to feel all the emotions the characters were feeling throughout the entire book and didn’t want to stop reading when it was time to put it up and be a productive member of the household lol The ending was absolutely perfect, I don’t know if I’ve ever cried that much! Great read!

This was my first book bt this author I read this as a stand alond with no problem. Mia is something else and so dang strong and when she meets Parker im not sure who makes a bigger impact on who. After being gone for five years she has no plans of falling or staying. I have to say Parker with Alex was enough to make anyone swoon and if Mia hadn't fallen for him and finally given I would have lol. The ending was amazing and I was so happy for both Alex and Parker and Mia.

A grumpy, sexy mechanic and the single mom? Yes please. I've not read Joanne Ganci before but I really liked her and plan to revisit the previous books in this series. When their paths cross neither expects or plans for a relationship, so one night to work out their desire seems like a good plan. Except it's not because it doesn't work. Reading Mia and Parker's story was awesome, the issues they dealt with and the fight to not commit was everything and more.

Not my typical read as I am more of the paranormal and fantasy rh fan. Even though this story is as far from those as you can basically get, it was well written and kept me hooked throughout. I liked the chemistry between Mia and Parker. This is part of a series, but is technically a standalone. So if you are in the mood for contemporary romance try this one, you won't be disappointed.
