Warrior Baptism Chapter 3
Theel and Yenia arrive at the fishing village of Dockhaven, but find it abandoned. Both are too hurt and weak to go on. Help arrives in an unlikely form.

A young squire mourns the loss of his father and masterknight. His grief is worsened by his own guilt. He could have fought and died at his father’s side, but he disgraced himself by fleeing the battle.
It is a crime punishable by death, but the young squire is given a chance at redemption. He is ordered to return to the place of battle and fight his father’s killer as he should have the first time.
He must find the courage to face one of the most evil and terrible enemies of the realm. If he is victorious, he will redeem himself and restore his family’s honor. If he is defeated, he will die the death he deserves.

It’s getting better.
Hoster is a great character and fun to read. This chapter has gotten better than the previous two. Theel meeting the two robbers and then Hoster and Rasm was written well. I’m glad Yenia survives, though it looks doubtful at times. My only real criticism is how Theel talks to Hoster. I can’t tell if it’s sarcasm or if he’s just dumb or something. Also, if Rasm lived in the Keeper’s hall, why wouldn’t Theel know of him, especially if he knew of the magical area where Rasm committed the spell that ruined him? Or was it long ago?
