Both men have been pulled into a triangle they didn’t ask for...
He can go fuck himself... Dexter spends his days in class and working, but he wants more. When he ran into her he’s pulled into an emotional rollercoaster. One that involves an overprotective brute. What’s his issue?
Then why this time? Rashawn shouldn’t be surprised. It was her MO. Why was he so infuriating? Once she gets her fill he’ll be old news. Right?
They’re forced together and as time goes on, neither of them is sure what they want.
Enough CAN be read as a standalone.
Note:this book may contain situations that are difficult for some readers.
This is intense, shocking and heartbreaking. Ra and Izzy met at and grew up in a group home together, and Ra has spent his entire life protecting her, and seeking her love. She'll sleep with him, but won't commit to him. They're friends with benefits, but only when she's not with someone else. She invites Dex out for coffee one day with Ra watching, Dex agrees and Ra gets angry. When they were about to have sex, Ra interrupts them, so Dex leaves. Every time Ra and Dex are near each other they shoot each other looks to kill. Until the day Ra asks Dex to help him confront Izzy. He wants to get her to stop drinking, but Dex calms her more. She goes off on them, so they commiserate with each other. Suddenly they're both feeling an attraction that neither can explain nor embrace. It takes a long time for the two to come to the conclusion that they're both bisexual. Ra and Dex get close, and Izzy gets jealous, so she tries to sabotage them. Things go from bad to worse for Izzy, and they continue to spin out of control. 3 damaged people end up helping each other. Parts of the past are disturbing, so it's not for everyone.
You want some steaminess with some serious hard-hitting drama? You get this book. A love triangle that finally goes the way we all want it to go. Still there are a lot of trigger warnings for this include past sexual abuse, alcoholism, family death, and car accident death so bear that in mind going into this.
That being said, what Williams does well in all his books is a wide range of diverse characters both in race, sexuality, and gender identities. There's some beautiful moments especially with Dex and Rashawn and questioning how they identify themselves after their involvement with Izzy and each other becomes more than a love triangle with her at the center. There is some drama between them caused by miscommunication cuz if these boys would just TALK...haha. I still loved their relationship and their own personal growth.
While this kind of erotic fiction is not something I am pulled to, I am happy that A.L. Williams trusts me as an alpha reader for their works so I can give you all a heads up on what's coming out from the mind of Williams Web.
Thank goodness for caring friends. Dexter got his nursing degree, but his father thought he should get his M.D. He is a bit awkward but open to meeting a new woman. He meets Isabel/Izzy and finds her attractive. She is accompanied by Rashawn. Rashawn is conflicted by some of Izzy's choices. Izzy and Rashawn have been each other's support system. They both carry heavy excess baggage. The relationships become complicated. It takes a few crisis when they start analyzing their relationships, accepting their truths and make new choices. They each go through a series of predictable responses, some good, some not so much. Will they open up and communicate with each other? Will they asks the right questions? Will they chose to fix themselves? Nice story. Good group of supportive friends. Nicely done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a must read for any fan of m/m contemporary romance, the author did a great job with the plot and layers in the story. A few different things you'll find here is a love triangle, different types of abuse, and an emotional rollercoaster that the characters will want to stay on and get off.
Author A.L. always delves into the mental state of his characters, this gives a realistic layer to them as they go through their story. As usual his dialogue and pacing is on point.
I will say without giving away anything about the characters that you will be intertwined in the story very quickly, it's a page turner that I recommend to any reading who wants a enthralling layered story.
Enough was a first time read for me for this author. What starts out as a probable triangle ends with much confusion for these two totally straight men. Was it steamy? Sure it was. It was a storyline that intrigued me even though most might have a tough time with the gay for you aspect but as a firm believer in love is love...when you are attracted to someone, it isn't always in the package you expect. There were a few areas where continuity is an issue but for the most part it was an interesting read. 3.5 stars
This was an interesting MFM menage love triangle. I loved the characters. They were very entertaining. The plot was well designed and kept my interest throughout. A must read
