Our hero is back and this time he is faced with an impossible task: find and retrieve three godly magical items that unlock an age-old cage. A cage with a monster slumbering for a thousand years — until now!
Now Erik must team up with his arch-nemesis, all the while evading an army of angels chasing after him and his twin sister… who has mysteriously gone missing.
Get ready for the most pulse-pounding, edge-of-your-seat adventure yet as the Legacy Series continues!
I have read all the Legacy books by Ryan Attard and was excited when "Shattered" was coming out. It seems that things are brewing again and Erik has to fight the good fight again, in his own quirky way. Things are getting rather complicated and messy but leave it to Erik to figure things out.
The author has an interesting imagination and always finds a new and interesting plot to take us on an interesting journey. They at times can be rather outlandish but he finds a way to bring it back together, and this time is no different. I have to say there were quite some interesting twists and turns, some that I was like seriously, just WHY, and I can't elaborate further on that since I don't want to give away any spoilers but seriously. The stakes are high and even the ones you thought were out of the picture are trying to get back into it.
Erik is the same old, loud mouthed obnoxious self, who has learned a couple of lessons though. I like the change of the relationship between him and his definitely much much much better half which I think has had a great influence on him and made him grow as a person. His sister really is still the same but is needed for the series but has had a smaller part in this book which was still important though.
Sadly this one had a pretty big cliffhanger that didn't sit so well for the series. Seems we have a pretty big case on our hands which may take a few books to take care of but I for one am here for it and can't wait to get to the bottom of it.
Shattered - Legacy Book 9 (Legacy Series), my thirteenth read from author Ryan Attard. With every Legacy book he writes, Ryan Attard polishes his craft & gets better & better! Another great Ryan Attard read. This book has everything, maybe the best Legacy book to date! Nonstop action, warlocks, talking cats, magic, sarcasm, humor & and further escalation from the earlier books in the series. I very much enjoyed this book & am ready for more. It was a cannot put down story adding to the storylines from his first books. Thank you Ryan Attard. I'll be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
I didn't think this series could get any better - I was totally wrong. This book is the best yet and I hate the author ( just a little though) for leaving things on such a cliffhanger. I mean - you can't really get bigger than the apocalypse! Roll on book 10 - I need to read it immediately
Read all 9 books in about 5 days, loved them a little on details on some creatures I skipped over some of it felt like to much filling. Eric is an awesome character who as the books progress surrounds himself with great people who are badasses! Great wizard story and I cannot wait for book ten!
Love the Legacy series. Funny, scary, magical. Characters feel so real, you know them well. This book ends on a cliff hanger, though. Can't wait for the next book.
as always Shatter delivers the goods. A non stop ride that you don't want to end. If you have read the other Legacy books you will be pleased. If you have not read the other books , what the hell are you waiting on.
So far, I think this has been the single most action packed entry in this series to date. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. Seriously, I need this in my life.
These books are amazing reads with so much action. I really enjoy the pace of action. If you are just reading this review and havent read the series pick it up and start reading.
I've enjoyed every one of his books and look forward to reading more in this series. For me, it's hard to keep my interest past book 3. This is book 9 and still going strong!
Page-turning adventure into the most unforgiving parts of our planet, as Erik works hard to save the world once again, even as powers far greater than him seem to be intent on just watching.
The big names have come out to play... This has way too many ways to be spoiled, so I will not even try. Suffice it to say that there will be a cost for everyone. It was this book where I started getting leery of reading the next. I truly hate triple-crosses and intrigue and what-have-you. Give me a simple good guys versus bad guys plot. Parts weren’t even logical in how it went down. Erik always reminds us that Sun Tzu is an avatar of BIG “G” God. His actions here were not in keeping of an all-powerful “G”. It reminds me of The Avengers when Hulk thrashes Loki and then says, “Puny god”. Congrats on making entire pantheons the equivalent of Loki. They were all “puny gods”.
