"I'd been sharing my body with a man who didn't even take me seriously. Everything was just a game with him to get what he wanted from me. This had to end."

Emily: Ten years ago Chris turned my life upside down in ways I could not have predicted. Four months ago he came back into my life and did it for a second time. Now my life is in uproar and I don't know what I'm going to do. All I know is that I have to protect my family from a man who doesn't seem to understand what boundaries are or what it means to care for anyone but himself.

Chris: I thought I was playing a game of revenge, but it's become something else. Somewhere along time line this woman got under my skin and now I don't want to see her go, even though the things I've done have made her want to run far and fast. How does a man like me convince a woman like her that I'm the kind of man she needs?

Now that the devastating secrets are out, Chris and Emily struggle to come to terms with the consequences of their actions and with each other. But can they find the courage to trust each other and claim the ultimate prize: love.

I luv luv luv this series!!! One question: was the note connected to the shooting? Also, was it Chris’s family trying to get rid of him and Emily because of jealousy?
You are an awesome writer!!!

I am disappointed because I wanted to be able to give the book at least another star, unfortunately Emily was so unlikeable it was impossible. Unlike Chris who showed character growth in this book, she remained as unpleasant and cold. Her victim mentality was annoying for a 28 year old. Her inability to communicate clearly for the majority of the book and her refusal to accept fault was unnerving. Chris’s behavior with the shot was disgusting and she had a right to be upset. However she somehow thought it absolved her of any faults. She lied about a child being dead. Unforgivable, and she had the gall to try and justify her behavior because she decided that Chris wasn’t a deserving parent and she had her own agenda with her company. What gave her the moral high ground? One could say that someone who is capable of such a lie isn’t fit, even less so considering that all this nonsense would have been avoided, had she behaved like a grown up and come clean. Let’s not forget that she preferred prostitution over honesty twice. She was basically confusing her son’s wellbeing (via her company) with her resentment towards Chris because he showed her that she was sexually submissive and she didn’t like that. How dare she decide on when it is convenient for Chris to meet his son? I’m seeing a concerning pattern in bwwm novels where it’s deemed acceptable scenarios for mothers to gate keep their children access to their fathers for what amounts to revenge. Because of biology they believe that the children and their lives belong to them. Toxic behavior. It really grated when Chris was praising her for all she did for their son because whilst it’s true that she really tried hard to get him the best help possible, however a lot of this “martyr “ action would have been unnecessary had she just done the right thing and told Chris about Ivory from the beginning. He is a billionaire and has connections which would have smoothed/sped a lot of the process. However she was being selfish and thinking only about her confort levels, even if it meant that she saw less of her son. Chris’s character needed improvement because he was obsessive and far too cunning in the previous books, however it irritated me that the author turned him into this person begging to be loved and easily manipulated with sex and crumbs. What is this nonsense with accepting a trial period for their “play family?”. As Mark’s wife said you either in or out. It made no sense to me that he would “kidnap her” instead of suing her in family court to get visitation. That waste of time would have definitely put a wrench in her “timetable “.

3.00 Stars. (BW/WM). Kindle Edition $2.98, 313 page e-book.

Settle: Unclear but main male character flew to San Francisco CA. ?

Trope: Taming and marrying the shrew using BDSM.

Characters:
1. Christopher "Chris" Abramovich, hero, is a 39-year-old structural engineer and CEO of Gentile, a multi billionaire enterprise.
2. Emily "Ebony" Gordon, heroine, is a 29-year-old biomedical engineer and CEO of Millennial, a new company indebted to Gentile.
3. Ivory, Emily and Chris' 10-year-old sickly child.
4. Drew, Emily's business partner.
5. Craig, Chris' assistant.
6. Marcus, Emily's ex-fiance.
7. Daniela, Chris' ex-wife.
8. Josie, Emily's mother.
9. Jacob & Elizabeth, Chris' half-brother & half-sister.

The storyline is interesting but it drags because of long unnecessary descriptions of places and things. Chris has grown as a character but Emily has not. The author has Emily and Chris to marry, have a set of twins in addition to Ivory and to re-marry having a traditional wedding. A year into their happy ever after, the story cliff hangs with their lives being threatened by persons unknown. This dilemma is forecast during the last third of this story-setting up book four's who-don-it: Is it Jacob driven by his jealousy and failed attempts at bad mouthing Chris to the board ? Is it Drew driven by the fear of losing his investment and partnership with Emily? And then there are the ex-wife and ex-fiance and the 'scorned lover syndrome', could one or both of them plot the demise of Chris, Emily and their family happiness? Wait for it!

Great Arrangement

Ok. So books 1 & 2 were hard for me as I didn't appreciate q dynamics of the two main characters. The start of this book made me uncomfortable as well but about a 3rd of the way in, it became clear to me what made neo uneasy. That said, I really did like the story line. The things that made me uncomfortable were completely necessary for the story line to make sense and ththe series is definitely worth the read. That said, the ending is ambiguous for me. I believe Chris & Emily are happy, but it appears someone is not willing to leave them alone. Per Sencha, this was the conclusion of their story so we can only hope that we'll get some clarification as a side comment through another book with other main characters. Chris & Emily

Boy oh boy,... !!!!
She is a badass in business, CEO at the age of 29 of her own company, her head is on her shoulders “life” wise... but when it comes to romantic relationships, she is a “submissive “. And, because of that, Chris who happened to be a controlling freak, selfish, arrogant, a bully...among other “ adjectives “... take advantage of their sexual attraction... it’s not that he forced her, nope,...his er passivity where Chris is concerned is unnerving .
Anyway, it was nice to see her finally standing up to him and take control, learning to say NO.
Chris is so good with Ivory, and too bad i didn’t see his interaction with the babies.
well, the journey is not over yet... plz more interactions with the children and who they favored!!!
Nice series!!

WHAT???

OK.....After finally getting to the 3rd book, and the author starts to make Chris, the main character, come across as someone in love with his woman, Emily, and not as some kind guy with psycho porn/rape fetish, they end the story on a WEIRD cliffhanger. This series went from bad to better to pretty great. The storyline was very different than most eroic novels I've read in the past. It would take too many words to explain why, but to end it that way, and I have absolutely no clue if there is a followup book to explain such an ending. Why would they put that in there. Man am I pissed!

Hooked on Chris and Emily

I just love Emily and Chris. And the more I read about them the more I want their story to continue. I love how smart and strong Emily is and how protective she is of Ivory. I loved seeing Chris change and become a good husband and a good father. And I really liked Ivory, I found myself smiling when Ivory was involved. They all came together well as a family and to know that's it's not over is even better. Senche can continue this series as long as she wants because I will definitely be following.

I didn't read the prior two

Although I did not read the two earlier books in this series, I was happy with this book. The writing made me curious about the earlier two but not curious enough to want to read them. This is a great book alone or I'm assuming, as the end to the 3 book series. I like Chris as he is in this book and don't want to know the prick version from earlier. I live Emily. She is a strong woman and a great mom. I like how she handles Chris.

Riveting story

Wow! Terrific story and Dom/sub romance. The ending got me wanting more. Hope there is a continuation..? However, there were tons of grammatical errors that I had to reread passages especially pronouns BUT the story was riveting. GREAT plots especially for Emily.

Pretty Darn Good!!

This book was pretty good. Lots of action. Emily was a little annoying but got better. I will admit that this is the first book I've read from this author. And I didn't read the first 2. But I think ill give the next one a try if it doesn't take to long to come out

Good Until the Last Page🤷🏽‍♀️

I love 📚3- Harmony , in which we got to the enjoy Chris & Emily’s journey to forgiveness & love. The last page of the epilogue was both thrilling & chilling ( Sorry, no spoilers - read the book to find out💋) But it does leave you in limbo wondering if there will be a book 4, ? or will we get answers to the family’s fate in Craig’s book🤷🏽‍♀️

The story was almost finished, the last line a cliffhanger? Now we need the next book to complete the story of Chris and Emily
