A radio transmission deep in space … a surveillance mission is ordered …

Daniel finally has his chance to prove himself with his first official planetary exploration mission.

It isn’t going to be Daniel’s first time to a new planet, but it will be his first time leading an expedition from the beginning. In the past, he led missions to asteroids, and one planetary exploration since there were no nearby captains. But this time, he is chosen to go on his first official planet exploratory mission. He is ready to prove himself a capable ship captain.

What could possibly go wrong with a simple surveillance mission?

Daniel is an Unwanted, surrounded by a galaxy of clones. He desires nothing more than to prove himself, but no one takes him seriously. He uses humor as a defense mechanism and stumbles his entire way through being a captain. But this is his first serious mission. He needs to make sure it succeeds at all cost.

Another great story.

If you like a lighter form of sci-fi these books fill the bill. Plus, so far each book tells a complete story instead of just being an incomplete piece of a larger tale.

Wonderful

I loved b8th the books I've read of the series.
Silly, funny, filled with cultural references that are already becoming old in 2023.

I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own. Captain Daniel and his team are off to observe a new system where radio transmissions have been heard. They are to observe and not be seen. Like in the last book they get into trouble again. Lots of tv and movie references and catch phrases. Very humorous with a good outcome. I would recommend this book.

First Contact!
Daniel is a hands on captain. He finally gets a mission to observe a group of planets. He of course goes way beyond observing, when he sees that there are aliens living on one of the planets. Interesting story, looking forward to the next book.
