Jesse, a 35 year-old screenwriter from L.A., moves to a house he just inherited in Memphis from his late husband. Orson is a retired veteran who works two part-time jobs to occupy his lonely hours and to help pay for his granddaughter’s education. They meet and start an unlikely friendship ignited by Jesse’s curiosity regarding the Blues.
To develop an idea for a new script, Jesse asks Orson to show him local blues scene. As these after-hour outings progress, both men realize they share feelings for one another that transcend their differences.
