When government cutbacks threaten project Dragonfly. General Rufus McManus takes direct action to secure its future. Deep undercover with his life on the line, can Danny survive long enough to bring him to justice…
After the theft of a consignment of prototype rifles, and the death of one of Howard’s agents. Danny Pearson is sent undercover to infiltrate a team of ex-special forces soldiers, led by his old SAS buddy Commander Rex Benton.
Things go from bad to worse when the team steals an experimental pulse weapon and plant it in an unknown venue. Danny enters into a race against time to find the weapon before it goes off, while trying to stay alive as the General terminates all links back to project Dragonfly.
Alive Until I Die is the fourth in the Danny Pearson Thriller Series, if you like evil villains and breath-taking action, then you’ll love Stephen Taylor’s fourth chilling action thriller.
Stephen Taylor spent over twenty years wiring up homes and businesses with audio visual kit before the big 50 started looming and he finally sat down to write the book he’d always had rattling around in his head.
That book was Execution of Faith — a supercharged, no-nonsense thriller that hit the ground running and never looked back. Readers loved it so much he wrote a prequel, Vodka Over London Ice, which became the first in what is now the internationally bestselling Danny Pearson series.
Raised on a diet of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, and Tom Wood’s Victor — with a healthy side serving of Die Hard, Daniel Craig’s Bond, and anything Guy Ritchie ever pointed a camera at — Stephen writes the kind of thrillers he wants to read: hard, fast, no filler, and with enough humour to keep you grinning between the gunfights.
The Danny Pearson series has found fans across the world who love action that doesn’t let up and a hero who’s as handy with a one-liner as he is with his fists. If you like your thrillers with the throttle wide open, you’re in the right place.
After I read the first installment in this series, I said that Pearson reminded me of a British version of Lee Child's Jack Reacher. After the last two volumes (and the short stories), I think there is a bit of Ian Fleming's James Bond mixed in. Danny just likes beer instead of martinis. Enjoyable reading. I enjoy the length of the books as well. They aren't so long as to be intimidating, but they are long enough to develop a good plotline. I still think that the author could use some editing help. I know it is trivial, but there were a number of grammar errors, spelling errors, etc. They don't detract from the story, but they bug the OCD in me.
Danny wants a rest but it won’t happen for a while, he is on another mission, requested by Howard. This one is a hard one, he has to go undercover. Who to trust becomes more difficult, except for his long time friend Scott, Edward his boss at MI6, Paul at the security firm he works with and Tom another agent who he has worked alongside and has a close comrade bond, all can be relied on. The best book yet, full of unbelievable action.
A good fast moving thriller involving corrupt government minister trying to secure his departments survival in government reshuffle involving hired gunmen and blackmail of officials. Murder and events involve retired SAS Danny Pearson who goes undercover to discover the truth and events move fast keeping Pearson on his toes.
Once again Stephen Taylor has done a cracking job of putting together a great plot with quite a few regular characters and quite a few passing characters……as in dying 🤣🤣🤣 …. Plenty of action and a thoroughly enjoyable read…..now for no5
I’m so pleased I came across Stephen Taylor as this Danny Pearson series is gripping, full of action ( but with a storyline) and well written. I can’t wait to start on book 5 now.
Action packed that makes want to keep reading. Being American, I don't always catch some of the English slang, but do enjoy the characters and the stories. Just finished book 4 and on to 5. Thank you for an entertaining read.
