7 months, two worlds, and a long lost grandfather who looks like he should be my brother…
It’s been a wild ride.
And, knowing my life, it’s about to get wilder. After we overthrew the evil king of the fae world and put its rightful ruler back on the throne, Hunter and I discovered that we were stuck here. As in, the magical portal that was supposed to transfer us home has shut down, and not a soul knows how to kickstart it once more.
At least that gives my boyfriend and I some time to work on our slightly rocky, but fully loving, relationship. But our lovely time is hijacked by some tomfoolery- the kind I thought I’d left back on Earth.
I am still processing everything I just read about Shannon and Hunter. This book had mystery, suspense and a bit of romance with a ton of paranormal thrown in. So much happens in this book and the last couple of chapters are wild to read. You have to read it to know how I am feeling after just finishing this book. It is a lot to take in. But exciting at the same time. Loved this book.
Who knows how Hong has passed in the human World, remember a little time in fairy is a lot longer on Earth. It sounds like there are even down times so bad they are growing bored. Especially after saving fairy, replacing the leader and getting advisors set up it sounded like they should have been all set to go home. However, the Veil is closed. Whether fairy did it itself until it knew all threats were fixed or someone sealed them shut for a reason, no one knows.obviously the solution isn't going to get solved easily. Add on top of that a fairy loses the magic stone and things are about to go from bad to worst. I mean we are only talking about the stone responsible for all magic in the face world. No big deal right? Then there is the weird & creepy Niyota who is an advisor to the new Queen. She just feels off. Why is the Queen so drawn to her too?
One at a time Shannon defeats her enemies and solves her problems. All has been set right in the Fae world. Time to go home and reconnect with family, but wait! The veil and portal don't work! It sounds like the main mystery to be solved, except the mystery of the missing stone that controls all magic cuts to the front of the line to be dealt with. The ditzy fairy who is the Keeper Of The Stone, is aggravating yet sympathetic. Shannon's and Hunter's relationship matures. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.
Though exhilarating to have helped free a magical land from a tyrannical leader, there really is no place like home. But going back though the veil isn't going to be easy this time around. And for Shannon and her friends the obstacles along the way are going need to be dealt with first. Each new adventure brings wonderful new tidbits of information that makes you long for more. Bring on the next one!
So this one was better than the last I’m back to enjoying the series more I love Shannon’s character growth even though I did wonder if she would click to everything lol spending the whole story in another world was good and even the descriptive writing was a bit better but the editing still could do with more work.
I find Shannon to be strangely juvenile for her age. She has so little self control; but she does seem to be learning that to be in a successful relationship, you need to suppress your impulses, and to think. Will she be able to sustain this, or slip back into her bad habits..
In the 6th book, Shannon finds herself trapped in Fae land with Hunter and grandfather as well as their friends. The portal has disappeared. The focus is getting that portal opened. There are a few adventures. But there are some inconsistencies in this story. Melinda needs a good proofreader to correct these. Other wise these stories are really good.
If you like this world you will love this series! I’m gonna have to read slower cause I literally can’t put them down until the end.Melinda (Mel) Chase has become my second favorite author right behind Kimbra Swain. You rock can’t wait for the next book!!!!
I love this series! But, while I flew through the other books, this one was hard to get through. There were no characters that I loved OR hated until the end. Then it got exciting! I am looking forward to the next one!
Stranded in the magic realm, a missing stone of magical powers, dark Fae and friends who are family. Fast paced story, a page turner. Can't wait to read the next book. Great series.
This story is fleshing out all of the characters more than ever. They all experienced more than ever. It pulled me in to the world of fairy. I can't wait for the next book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this took and read it far too quickly. Ok lots of fantasy , fairies, magic and monsters. And a love story thrown in. Hoping for another instalment. Great author, imaginative tale
A magical stone is missing. It was stolen from a drunk fairy. It must not fall into the dark fae hands. Hunter and Shannon track it down. Shannon kills the dark far and gets the stone back.
Okay I don't have time to summarize the book. The point is, the story is much more alive than before. I could imagine clearly what the fae world looks like, the adventure, the tension, the love, and everything. To the next book, please.
I would recommend this book to anyone of Shannon Meyer's readers. The PWF series is an entertaining must read. Twirls magic with human fragility and emotion.
This book had lots of adventure and pretty crazy ideas. Scene description could be a little more detailed. However I'm most definitely looking forward to the last chapter
I like how the story is revealing itself. I am not sure what is going to happen which makes reading the book fun. Looking forward to the next in the series
After reading all six books in this series and discovering there will be two more before it ends I'm a little miffed. I really expected this book to be the last in the series. Now I'm going to have to wait for two more as yet unwritten books.
I applaud this author for putting pen to paper and writing this story. It must be difficult. It's an endeavor I only wish I could make but alas the stories or characters don't come to mind so I can't put them down on paper. I do believe this author's writing improves with each book and I am looking forward to the remaining books to complete this story.
