Sometimes doing the right thing means becoming one of the bad guys.
Mason Gray is arrested for a murder he didn’t commit. All the evidence points to him, and prison is no place for a former cop.

But clearing his name becomes the least of his worries when the real killer decides prison isn’t punishment enough. He targets those closest to Gray, his former partner’s wife and children. To save them, Gray must become the criminal everyone thinks he is, evade the cops, discover who wants him ruined, and bring the fight to them.

Failure means he’ll lose everything he holds dear. But success might mean the same thing.

A third book can often make or break a series. The first book is for laying the groundwork and setting the scene, grabbing the initial interest. The second book is continuing the overall plot, adding a few new characters, and keeping you guessing as to what comes next. The third book is when you really determine if the series is going to take off or if it will crash and burn. Framed does NOT disappoint, as this fascinating marriage of the gritty private eye motif and the unknown supernatural twist keeps you on your toes with every page. The familiar world Markham’s characters traverse is peppered with expertly displayed flashes of something much larger and hauntingly familiar, but not quite within reach, and even his smaller players are rich with character and a true place in the story. Expertly crafted, the latest installment to the Mason Gray Case series is truly a triumph and leaves you hungry for more!

Simply put this is a great series. It’s fast paced, heart felt, and very unique. It has got to be the strangest mystery series I have ever read but truly one of the best. I am so glad I happened upon this author. This book, like the first two in this series, is a book that you cannot stop reading. The characters are so different that you really just want to find out more. I really look forward to the next book in this series and I highly recommend anyone interested in this book to start from book one otherwise you will be clearly yourself out of a great treat.
