This talented author has compiled a truly enthralling Sci-Fi Alien Series with three excellent complete Alien Breeder novels in it although each of these novels has a dark undertone, they are definitely worth reading. The storylines flow smoothly throughout extremely well-written plots that have good world building & vivid scene descriptions. The characters are individually unique with complex personalities & some of them are trapped in heart-wrenching circumstances but they do find their version of a HEA.
There is: a despicable system, female breeders, alpha males, betas, villainous villains, traditions, slavery, MM pairing, abduction, action, adventure, twists & turns, drama, intrigue, suspense, secrets, mystery, hardship, danger, violence, atrocities, a secret rebellion, defiance, inner-strength, non-consensual scenes, punishment, domestic discipline, spankings, heartache, misunderstandings, seduction, complications, determination, compromises, contentment, love & HEA. I enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi Alien Breeder Series & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.

BREEDER—TERRAN—WARRIOR

I am always enthralled by the Sci-fi stories that Ms. Cara Bristol spins. She has a knack for describing the planets, the inhabitants, animals, customs, and mannerisms that allow the reader to envision it all. The inhabitants of Parseon are larger than Terra and have divided the area into five main government areas, each with a High Commander. Within the various commanders, the adage about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer are prevalent.

BREEDER

On Parseon, it is a man’s world, and women are property, used for breeding, preferably to produce sons for Alphas, and can be discarded when the Alpha is done with them. There are no marriages, as on Terra, but instead, an Alpha male will have a male beta partner, and they enter into an anointed union. If the Alpha wishes to procreate, he will buy a breeder slave for that purpose. A breeder is also under the beta's authority, where he is free to use her anally for his pleasure.

Everything on Parseon is under the order of Protocol, which dictates a unique order, including rank, sexuality, and relationships. This form of government has taught that women are no more than breeders, are uneducated, cannot learn, cannot enjoy anything sexual, and are disposable. A group known as Enclave, which is outlawed, prefers Terra's practice, where men and women enter a relationship by mutual choice and have a loving relationship and children.

The plot will have High Commander Alpha Dak seeking a breeder slave from the Breeder Containment Facility. While there, he is dissolution with the choices available until he finds Omra. She is dirty, stinks, tries to hide, and even bites him, so why would he pick her? Purity is a rare commodity and something a high commander would desire. There are unhanded dealings taking place at the BCF that will be uncovered.

Dak never intended for anything more than impregnating his breeder to produce him sons. What is it about Omra that captures his attention and derails his motives? Problems are brewing within the high order of command, and danger is lurking. The story is full of mystery, suspense, deceit, betrayal, danger, discoveries, intense passion, especially when engaging in forbidden acts, life and death moments, and even some spankings.

TERRAN

On Parseon, it is a man’s world, and women are property, used and when no longer needed, discarded, placed back into the Breeder Program. With Commander Dak and his work with Terra, and establishing an exchange where those from Earth can come and set up in a bazaar and sell goods, it will add a new challenge with Terra female, who are vulnerable, especially by those who consider an unclaimed woman as fair game. When Tara, who runs Tara Textiles, makes the error of leaving the bazaar's safety and is attacked by three betas, she will be rescued by Commander Marlix will set this tale into motion.

Under the order of Protocol, which is a unique order based on rank, status and allows Alpha men and beta men to join in a unit by anointment, it will also deem women as lesser beings. There are no marriages, and women are used as breeders to procreate but not have relationships. It is considered unacceptable for men to prefer women and would be questioned if the truth of some relationships were to come to light, like that between Commander Marlix and his anointed beta, Urazi. “To desire a female was the greatest taboo imaginable.” “Females existed on the fringe of society, used—abused—by the males.”

Marlix will go from rescuing Tara from her attackers to taking her to his abode, seeking medical attention for her, and then refusing to allow her to leave, becoming her captor and her his prisoner. When he knows that they will be looking for them, he devises a plan to disguise themselves of rank and title and to hide at the Enclave. Other secrets will come to light, and when it comes down to making planetary decisions, his vote will change, creating new enemies among those he had before joined forces. There will be new unrest, potential civil war among the various providences, and new alliances.

The plot will have die-hard Parseon leaders questioning the order of Protocol and realizing that maybe it is time for changes. It will not be received well by everyone but perhaps a new chapter for the people of Parseon. Can a Terran join with a Parseon Alpha? Tara has opened the eyes of Marlix to the physical and sexual relationship between a man and a woman. “She is the day to my night.” Problems are brewing within the high order of command, and danger is lurking. The story is full of mystery, suspense, deceit, betrayal, danger, new discoveries, intense passion, especially when engaging in forbidden acts, life and death moments, and even some spankings.

WARRIOR

On Parseon, it is a man’s world, and women are property, used for breeding, preferably to produce sons for Alphas, and can be discarded when the Alpha is done with them. There are no marriages, as on Terra, but instead, an Alpha male will have a male beta partner, and they enter into an anointed union. If the Alpha wishes to procreate, he will buy a breeder slave for that purpose. A breeder is also under the beta's authority, where he is free to use her anally for his pleasure.

While the planet Parseon is under the order of Protocol, war has become an issue, with Commanders Qalin and Artom trying to control the sectors of Commanders Dak, Marlix, and Illian. Marlix has made arrangements for his sires female, Anika, to become the breeder of Ilian. As a female, a breeder, she has no say or control over the matter. Anika has defied protocol already by being with a beta, Jernigan, and living at the Enclave; she is determined she will make her own way again.

With the help of Tara, the plot will have Anika leave Marlix compound and attempt to live on her own. She will encounter many obstacles, especially in the form of men who take what they want or try to. Uriza was beta and shared an anointed bond with Marlix, but they did not engage in the practice deemed by Protocol of a sexual relationship. It was also acceptable for them to hire a female and use her anally for their pleasure. Only an Alpha is allowed to procreate with a breeder female to produce offspring. When Anika flees, Uriza wants to go after her, especially when he learns that the enemy has a bounty on any of the Commanders or their household. When Marlix refuses his request, it will also cause Uriza to go rouge, which will become their story.

The tale is full of trials, hardships, dangers, and unpleasant atrocities of the war, the status of women, betas, and alphas. Both Anika and Uriza will be forced to take drastic measures to stay alive and head of danger. “The forbidden love they share becomes the biggest danger of all.” “Why could they not have the liberty to choose whomever they desired? Why was it considered perverse?”

For Anika, she knows that she must disguise herself, and changing her hair short like an Alpha, wearing colored contacts, binding her breast, and donning an Alpha’s clothing allows her freedom to move about. “The best place to hide was under the searcher’s nose.” Together, Anika and Uriza know that the only way to help save the people of Parseon is to topple Qalin, and they will have the most unlikely help in the end. “If we didn’t have misfortune, we wouldn’t have any fortune.”

In the end, it isn’t whether you are born male or female, prove to be Alpha or beta; it is that you have a desire for what is right and wrong. That each person is an individual and should not be judged by the sex they were born, or status in training, but by their worth as an individual. Anika may have been born a female, sent to a breeder facility, abused by men, but she proved she was a fighter for herself, for other women, and the future of Parseon. Rules sometimes must be broken for the greater good, and forbidden love is the greatest motive and reward.

NOTE: I previously read each of these stories separately.

I love the entire Breeder series. I've read these books in the past and enjoyed everyone of of them. I'm so glad they are out in a box set now. All of them in one handy place. Breeder is a slightly darker, edgier read compared to some of Ms Bristol's other books. They deal with a society where there is a large disparity in class between men and women. Men are the ruling class while women are treated more like property and chattel. As the men in the Breeder books get to know the women they fall for, there's a shake up in the Parseon society as women fight for more rights and liberty. This entire series is an engaging read and well worth it.

This series is a very powerful story that speaks to the disenfranchised, giving hope for their future, if only they dare act. I highly recommend it!

* Breeder (bk 1)
An extraordinary, powerfully moving story!
To imagine an existence such as that which reigns in Parseon - it boggles the mind! I find much to admire in Dak's character. He's made a treaty with Terrans, he allows the Enclave to exist in his territory, his justice (though harsh) is appropriate within cultural norms rather than abusive. It is a joy to watch the transformation when he purchases the one who will bear his children. Omra is unusual for a woman of her times, proving that females are far more capable than the males believe. Little by little, things begin to change, even though it brings danger to both of them. A fascinating, highly charged story! Not to be missed!

* Terran (bk 2)
An inspired follow-up to Breeder!
Another Alpha Commander sees the light. Marlix is on a mission to procure special fabric in the Terran section of the Marketplace. He meets colorful, bold Tara Diehl. "She's as colorful in her speech as she is in her appearance." Vehemently opposed to the way Alpha Commander Dak caters to Parseons who seek change in Protocol, Marlix reacts in an unexpected manner to his encounter with Tara. Watching the changes in attitude come over him is fascinating. Slowly, progress is made. Our colorful Tara goes through plenty of changes of her own. In the end, this could be the basis of a cultural revolution. A thrilling story with cultural beliefs desperately in need of change!

* Warrior (bk 3)
A great sci fi romance, but there's more to it than that...
In a world dominated by men, Anika desperately wants to control her destiny. She escapes before her Alpha brother sends her off to mate with an Alpha she's seen just once. She leaves behind the one man she wants: Urazi, her brother's beta. Watch the story unfold as she discovers her inner strengths, finds her perfect mate and becomes an instrument of change in her world!
This is a very powerful story that speaks to the disenfranchised, giving hope for their future, if only they dare act. I highly recommend it!

Breeder - Parseon is a whole new planet where men are separated into Alpha and Beta designations, females are Breeders and the act of love is non-existent. Commander Dak's needs are simple: a breeder to have a child to further his lineage. But Omra is not what he expected. Will her presence in his life change everything? Will his beta be able to accept the new relationship? Will he be able to control his desires for the "unworthy"?

Terran - Tara's experience on Parseon is not all positive. While she meets Ramon (her fabulous assistant in gossip and textiles), and Omra (her first direct contact with Breeders), the assault she experiences by the Betas change her thinking about exploring new worlds. But Marlix's dominant ways, his passions unexplored and his punishments perceived, make for a dilemma. Will this simple human female merchant take on the Protocol that men follow? Will her desire for his authority allow her to conform to more alien ways than she expects?

Warrior - When the underdog becomes the hero of her own story, you know it will be strengthening. Anika, a "lowly" breeder who's status is even more diminished by her relationship with a deceased Beta male becomes determined to prove that she can live on her own. Her hurdles: the status ordained by "Protocol", her brother who struggles with his own strange relationship, her lover who dreams of becoming more than Beta status and so doesn't feel powerful enough to hold her dominance. Will her relationship with Urazi survive the challenges she faces in overcoming status? Will Urazi's desire for more encompass the beautiful woman he wants as his own? Will the political upheaval that is tearing apart Parseon have any impact on their future?

This trilogy embraces a society that devalues females as Breeders (little more than slaves). It is an evolution that takes place when an alpha (Dak)falls in love for a Breeder (Omra) and questions societal norms that portray breeders as subpar intelligence and only good for one thing. The first book is about their journey see if he can overcome his preconceptions and the dangers that might come in the wake of that acceptance. In the second book Tara (a human from Terra) is kidnapped by an alpha, who discovers that his beliefs about females also comes into question and he has to make a decision to support the changes that are happening to the people. And finally, in the third book, Anika, whose mate had been killed runs away before being sent off to be a breeder for another alpha finds that life masquerading as an alpha is freeing, but almost gets her killed, even though it puts her and (Urazi, her brother's ex beta) in great danger. Awesome world building, great characters, a must read! Bravo!

Once again Cara Bristol arrives at the goal post and hurdles over it with her Breeder series. I received the set as an ARC in exchange for a review.
Somewhere out there, there exists a world where alphas, omegas and betas are superior to females who they see only as breeders. The treatment can be horrific and degrading. Brutal and painful. A breeding station serves as a supermarket for alphas to "shop" for their next bit of excitement - to breed and breed with a female then either keep her for more or sell her on to the next breeder. But an alpha cannot show any affection or desire toward his breeder or he can lose everything. Betas can be vicious and devious and in one instance even plot the death of his alpha. But is there an alpha out there who is prepared to buck the system and nurture "regard" for his female.
The series fascinated me and I take my hat off to Cara for having such a vivid imagination that she can create these "worlds' that we can lose ourselves in and be thankful for the wonderful life we have here.
Heartily recommend this series.

This is a review for the complete Breeder Series by Cara Bristol, books 1-3

Setting:
Planet Parseon is a planet that is run by men and the women are second class citizens. They are only seen as breeders, cooks and cleaners. The household in Parseon includes an Alpha, his Beta and a Breeder. The Alpha and Beta are males while the Breeder is a female. Her function is to serve her Alpha and Beta. The Parseon people are very sexual and have multiple partners and sharing with the Alphas being at the top of the food chain and their command sets the pace for all others. The females are referred to as dumb because they are not educated since they must only be able to do their Alphas bidding and produce heirs. The females have no free will and must always do as they are bid or receive punishment.

There are Earth humans on Parseon, they are called Terrans from Terra (aka Earth). They made a treaty with the Parseon and some were brought to Parseon. The Terrans also helped the Parseon by donating genetic material to help them propagate their race. Most Parseon see this as a dilution of their purity and Terrans are not fully accepted into Parseon culture, having almost the same status as breeders as second class citizens.

Book One, Breeder

The first book revolves around a traditional Parseon family unit. The Alpha, Commander Dak, his Beta Corren and their newly acquired Breeder, Omra. Omra is a Parseon female trained to be a Breeder and is currently being held at a Breeder facility where Alphas come to pick out their breeders. This is the tradition in Parseon.

Commander Dak thinks only to fulfill his responsibilities as Alpha and chooses Omra. He has his mind set on what to expect with a Breeder, but Omra surprises him and brings out a yearning for connection he never experienced before and is forbidden in Parseon culture. Their household becomes disturbed with jealousy and Omra always seems to pay the price for others mistakes or doing. But in order for everyone to get what they truly desire, they have to challenge the ways of the Parseon culture risking everything.

Book Two, Terran

This book is the sequel and includes characters that we met in the first book. Tara, a human from Earth that I liked and then Alpha Marlix, who I wasn’t fond of in the first book.

Tara is a merchant at the market and sells wares. She’s friendly and a little wild with her colorfully dyed hair, tattoos and facial piercings. She understands that Parseon is a male dominated planet but still retains her care-free personality. There is a treaty that offers her protection as a Terran female, but that doesn’t stop her from being attacked. Alpha Marlix was attracted to the fiesty woman who sold textiles at the market and saves her from the brutal attack. He spirits her away to his home where he heals her from her injuries. Once her injuries are healed, he decides he wants to keep her and a battle of wills takes place, both parties fighting their attraction for the other.

This book was my favorite out of all three books. I loved Tara’s fiery personality and how she changed Marlix peronality into a better one.

Book Three, Warrior

This the final book to the three part series, and this is where we see Anika and Urazi get their happy ending. Anika was introduced in the first book as a fellow breeder at the same facility as Omra. She is also Alpha Marlix’s sister. Urazi is Alpha Marlix’s Beta from book two. They have to challenge every tradition on Parseon to find their way to each other, but Parseon has already endured much change and its time to get rid of the old traditions. This was a great end to a good series.

Even though these books are not my normal read, the story-line was intriguing. I’m not a big fan of BDSM and was not aware that these books contained these elements. For those reasons, these books are not my favorite. However, the plot, action, betrayal, twists and descriptions were very well done. It is an erotic series so there is a lot of sex between the characters, but it is not overdone. I could picture the world that the author was creating, I could feel for the characters in the story.

If you like BDSM and these type of worlds than you should definitely try this boxed set.

If your not a fan of BDSM and are offended by violence in books, then this series is not for you.

Overall, I would recommend this series.

Sometimes life teaches us a lesson...

This series got better with each book. In a fascinating world, where not only were men and women not equals, men were openly divided and not equals... things are about to change, and if they are lucky, it will be for the better.

Breeder:
Sometimes life teaches us a lesson...

Dak is Alpha. Not just another alpha in a society that divides men into Alphas and Betas. He's the Alpha commander for this region, one of only 5 such commanders. He lives by the rules he governs his people by, and that he enforces... until life throws into his path someone who makes him dare to question what he's been taught, and even more dangerously, the rules they live by.

Omra was a remarkably fun heroine, in part because she has been raised in a society that believed she should be illiterate and uneducated. As a joke, her brother taught her to read... and she did. With an open and curious mind, she dares to think about her world, to try to understand, to live within its boundaries... even as she pushes to their very edges.

Both Dak and Omra have a lot to learn, but I loved their willingness to learn and to own their mistakes.

This stand-alone done in one quick read does a lot of fantastic world-building, creating an interesting society, and exploring it at a fascinating point in its evolution with interesting characters.

Terran: Book 2

"In what galaxy did kidnapping equate with courtship?"

Marlix was in the first book, an Alpha with an agenda, and likely, like other Alphas, with secrets. In his story, we discover the real Marlix is a more complex and fascinating character than he dares let his peers know. An Alpha who is hyper-aware of how useful a reputation can be in ruling his fifth of the planet.

Tara appeared in just a few scenes in the previous story, but with pink hair and an arm covered in tattoos, she was a scene-stealer. This woman read up on this Alien world before coming, and set out to be a positive representative of Earth, and show them what their culture was missing by example... and was doing a good job of it until Marlix walked in and threw her off balance.

I enjoyed watching these two characters have their ideas about themselves, and their cultures, be challenged, and actually face the challenges, face themselves and their assumptions, and have moments of revelation and epiphany.

Anika appears in this story, as do Dak and Omra from the previous story, but this is a solid done in one story in a fascinating and unique world.

Warrior: Book 3

“How easily one can disappear—unless you try to.”

This is the third story in a series, and while it is a stand-alone done in one, it really brings home the series, so I do recommend the entire series.

Anika is a woman, as such she has no status in her society unless you consider being referred to as a 'breeder' as status. She wants more, not just for herself, in part because she has experienced... kindness, consideration.... regard. In a world where women are used, she wants to be cared about, heard.... and to contribute, as opposed to having something taken from her whether or not she is willing.

Urazi is a Beta, in a society where Alphas lead and Betas support, he has found a way to be content, until the one-two punch of failing his Alpha, and meeting Anika. Anika, whether she means to or not, challenges him to be more, to rise to a higher level, to not just support but fight.

I loved watching these two characters tackle an impossible mission, not impossible for them, impossible for two perfectly qualified people, all because they believed it needed to be done, and they feared they were the only ones in a position to do it. Instead of convincing themselves everything they'd been taught, that held them back in the past, was right, they challenged themselves to prove they could do and be more... and could learn from their mistakes along the way.

I was gifted with a copy of the box set and chose to leave a review.

Omra had not believed it when the Alpha Dak had come into her filthy cell that morning, he had inspected her thoroughly and had then informed Sival that he wanted the woman for his Breeder, she was to be cleaned up and then delivered the following morning for his perusal.
No sooner had Alpha Bak left the facility and Sival had returned to her sell his look as always wicked and cruel and then he had started to beat her.

High Commander Dak, a ruling Alpha of planet Parseon, purchases returned with his purchase Corren had been waiting and had made it more than apparent that he despised every minute Dak spent with her, any infractions of the rules by he seemed to enjoy inflicting pain and punishing in ways that showed no marks on her body, he had also threatened her should she ever speak out.

As Daks feelings for Omra begin to change his ideas and his beliefs of what is viewed as right and wrong are similarly amended, he wanted to see change and he went about trying to start off slowly but the other Alpha's viewed him with contempt and would have him thrown out of his official position and this would leave Omra a very precarious position and he could never allow this to happen not whilst he still had breath in his body.

Love can overcome many things and this is a story of two very different individuals that have fallen in love and they want their lives to change and are willing to go through hell and high water to achieve their aims. Read his wonderful story, once you start you will not be able to stop it shows a time when a woman's worth is nothing except for breeding and men that are cruel and have no morality having grown up in a society when people have no worth, no value they are treated like cattle, culled with no regard it is a world gone mad.

Terran – BK 2
This is a wonderful second book in his series and I know that if it is like the previous books it will be another simply riveting read.
A vendor in the market place Tara Diehl is a human and is hiding this as closely as she can so that her true identity is not discovered, but when she finds herself being kidnapped by Alpha Commander Marix and has to discover a way to escape.
Tara tries every ploy to escape and he catches on to the and ensures that she knows how displeased he is with her however; she is stubborn and never gives up. The longer they are together the more she realises that she is actually starting to have feelings for him.
Warrior – BK 3
This was a wonderful read that I thoroughly enjoyed both the plot and the character was well written
Anika has always followed her own mind and refused to be pressured by others and she in in love secretly with a man and so she has refused to accept the matched wedding that has been put in place for her.
She will not be used as a breeding vessel and she decides that she is going to take her life and her future and her love into her own hands, she flees from her home and sets out on her own. She has to fight along with her planet in an effort to defeat a evil and despicable despot that is ruining her planet.
Anika and Urazi unite in a determined manner they are going to save their people and will do what ever is needed, she is a fighter and will never shirk her duty even if it costs her life, they also have fallen deeply in love and although she knows that this would never have been permitted she follows her own heart and decides her own future no and no one can change her mind, heart or dreams.
She will live and die by the decisions and beliefs she has.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Breeder - Omra has been sent to the Breeder Containment Facility. Her family wants her to be "bought" by a high ranked official and they ensured it by securing her genitals with a horrific clamp. Females on the world are just about the lowest of the low. Treated as chattel and property, used and abused at the leisure of the males. On this planet males are all, so much so that homosexual relationships are seen as the norm and these Alpha-Beta partnerships occasionally "share" a breeder.

Dak decides he needs to secure an heir and attends the BCF. When he finally sees a female worthy of the title of Alpha Breeder, Omra begins to crack the main walls surrounding him and his almost defunct heart. Dak always though Protocol was everything, can he really subject the woman who had stolen his heart to this hateful system?

Parseon is not a place you'd want to go on your holidays! Men rule everything and woman are in jeopardy wherever they go. My skin truly crawled in parts and I wanted to cry and punch and shout and swear at Dak and all the other males! Yes, there is a HEA eventually but this is not an easy-breezy book, definitely on the darker side of romance!

Terran - Tara left Earth for Paseon to escape her horrific past. She suffered abuse at the hands of a neighbour and she hopes for a fresh start on Parseon. She possibly misjudged just how different Earth and Parseon are! She's seen as fresh meat to the local males. When she is attacked after leaving the safety of the bazaar, she is saved and then essentially kidnapped by Marlix.

We met Marlix in book 1 and he was a bit of PITA! You never really knew if he was a "good-guy" or an eventual bad-guy! However, he does redeem himself somewhat but as with Dax, he's perfectly happy to "discipline" Tara when she does not obey him. Can one Earth woman really change a male like Marlix?

Another great but very dark read. I don't mind BDSM, etc, but this was a bit dark for my usual tastes. The story itself was great, I just skipped over the more intense "discipline" scenes.

Warrior - Anika has finally had enough and slipped her leash. Her brother can find happiness but he's still willing to ship her off to be a breeder for an ally? Over her dead body - which might just happen!

Urazi is all kinds of mixed up over Anika. He should not desire her as he does. He should be a strong beta for Marlix, not lusting after his sibling. But when Anika flees an arranged breeding he has no choice but to follow her. But will Anika stay "found" and "safe" with Urazi or will she fight for her independence, even if it means her downfall?

Anika has a lot of adventures during her escape from her brother's reach. But the more she learns about her own abilities and strengths, the more she also wants to be only with Urazi. But will he accept they have a possible future or will his loyalty to her brother win out?

Anika is feisty and independent and determined that there will be more to her life than what her brother or any Alpha "allows her to have. I enjoyed that she led Urazi on a merry chase, she was no easy pushover. I loved the epilogue -a lot of change happens in a year. But Parseon is still a work in progress, it's going to take time to get rid of all the patriarchy!

Triggers: BDSM, Dark Romance, Misogyny, female enslavement, assholish Alphas!

I just want to let all you readers out there know, that you will NOT want to put this Series down! I’m actually kind of jealous because I had to wait for each novel to get released individually so that I could continue to learn more about the lives and loves of the people of Parseon. Humph!
Anyway, the Breeder Box Set is now available and it is an awesome one. This Box Set tells the story of love in a dark, intense, science-fiction world where “kind and gentle” are anomalies. The primary couple of each novel does reach their HEA. Their journeys to reach them are spectacular. This Series is so good, I sure would love to see revisit Parseon a time or two more. ;-)

Breeder (Breeder, Book 1)
Title: Sneak and Read Alert!
**Warning!!** You will find yourself sneaking to read this book when you’re not supposed to!! Ms Bristol created a dark, intriguing, world that had me sucked in and hungry for more as I followed the development of the love story between Dak and Omra. This is a dark novel with actions that made me feel very uncomfortable at times. I, for one, would not want to live in this world! But, even with that, I enjoyed the peek into a very different world and the growth of the characters as they realized that the rules for the world they lived in. may not be for the best. This book does have a HEA. With that said, I’m looking forward to reading more in this series to see how the people of Parseon evolve.

Terran (Breeder, Book 2)
Title: Sneak and Read Alert -- Part Deux!
**You Have Been Warned!!** Just like when reading “Breeder”, you’ll find yourself so fully engaged in this dark, new, world Ms Bristol has created that you’ll want to read it from beginning to end as fast as you can. A great continuation of the Series started in “Breeder”. In this story, we continue to get a view into a world that treats woman horribly (And I mean horribly! Actions in this novel can be a trigger for some readers). This time, we learn about an even more “perverse” love story; one between a Parseon and a Terran. The Alpha, Marlix, had such disdain for Alpha Dak for his regard for his Breeder, Omra. Now, he’s falling for a Terran Vendoress, Tara. As the story develops, Marlix and Tara face a lot of adversity as their regard for each other grows. This book does have a HEA. The ride to that point is an exciting one. I’m looking forward to continuing reading this Series. I have high hopes for the Parseon People!

Warrior (Breeder, Book 3)
Title: Sneak and Read Alert -- Part Trois!
**Warning! Warning!** Picking up where “Terran” left off, we follow the unexpected love story of Anika and Beta Urazi. With twists and turns galore, you won’t want to put this book down! Life in Parseon is even harder with a full-blown civil war between the leading Alphas. Can Anika and Urazi help end the war? Can their love hold credence in a world where following Protocol is just as important as breathing? This book does have a HEA. I’m sad to see this Series come to an end. I am thankful that we get to catch up with Dak/Omra, and Marlix/Tara. The way this book ended, Ms Bristol gave us an opening for more stories with the people of Parseon. I sure hope we get a chance to return!

I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Revolution triggered by love

The world of Parseon is a hard one. Strict proscriptions and role definitions lock male Alphas and betas, and female Breeders, into a violent and harsh society which values strength, power, and gender above all. Females are only for breeding. Only alphas may breed. Alphas and betas pair up and use each other for sexual release. But the introduction of Terran aliens (humans) sows seeds of discontent, discord, and change. These three novels tell the story of Parseon's metamorphosis from the point of view of an Alpha and his breeder (Breeder), a Terran woman who becomes an Alpha's breeder (Terran), and a beta who rises above subservience to claim a breeder of his own (Warrior). Each book looks at the struggle for love in a loveless society as a metaphor for the evolution of freedom: the right to a unique identity and personal choice, and the value of every individual's contribution to the good of all. It's fascinating stuff - dark and violent, yet hopeful, and each forbidden romance is sexy, steamy, and based on genuine love; and yet, plagued by the misconceptions and indoctrination of Parseon's brutal culture, there is an element of control and brutality that some will find unacceptable. Approach this box set with an open mind, and a mindful recognition that Parseons are NOT human. Those who can successfully merge themselves in this altered perception will find Breeder, Terran, and Warrior are complex, compelling, highly engaging, and ultimately uplifting. Cara Bristol's writing covers an astonishing range of personal discovery, emotional growth, and courage, set against a backdrop of totalitarian rule, bitter political rivalries, and cruel culture in which all must comply with their own oppression, or die. It isn't fluff reading, but I thought these three books were powerful, life-and-love affirming, and inspiring. This is a voluntary ARC review.

DISCLAIMER: I received this boxed set as an ARC from the author. I had previously purchased two of the books in this set. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
WARNING: The Breeder Series Boxset, by Cara Bristol contains elements of physical abuse, including rape and sodomy. It may be offensive or trigger some readers and I recommend it for readers 18 years or older.

This series is about a culture where males dominate and have no respect for females. This male society is divided into categories: Alphas, the rulers, and betas, the followers. The Alphas, according to the protocol of their race, partner with Betas. The only use for females is as a breeder for the Alphas' offspring. In Book 1, "Breeder", the Alpha Commander has decided that it is time for him to purchase a breeder in order to continue his line. But when he makes his purchase and returns home with his new breeder, his partner is anything but happy. Politics and jealousy create danger at every turn, leaving little trust for anyone. In Book 2, "Terran", an Alpha Commander kidnaps an Earth female and goes into hiding, determind to make her his in every way and make her pay for her disrespectful, arrogant attitude towards him. In Book 3, "Warrior", a breeder who was rescued from a breeder containment center has tasted freedom and doesn't wish to belong to anyone again.

I loved these books, as there is a wonderful storyline, great world building, and fabulous character development. I enjoy this writer very much and Book 1 was the first book that I had read by Cara Bristol many months ago. These and other of her books have made her one of my favorites! So if you like great adventure, action, and steamy romance, this set is one you will love! I only wish there was a fourth book in the series. There is so much that Ms. Bristol can do with characters in the very unique world. (I hope she reads this review and gets the hint.)

This was a very interesting Alien Romance serial box set I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout. The three stories were:
Breeder
This starts the series and this story is about Alpha Commander Dak, ruling Alpha of planet Parseon, who purchases Omra because he needs a son to carry on his legacy. The males on the planet believe women are subservient and only good for breeding. The men form marriages among themselves. When Dak starts having feelings for Omra and visa versa this brings unrest among his kind. Will they survive the repercussions and have a HEA? The portrayal describe in the treatment of the women is dark and disturbing in this alien romance I enjoyed reading.
Terran
This story is about Alpha Commander Marlix, one of the five rulers of the planet and Tara Diehl. Marlix kidnaps Tara who fled Earth and restarted her life as a marketplace vendor. Their relationship starts to open Marlix eyes and he starts to work with Dak to change how they treat the women on the planet. When a civil war threatens those she loves, Tara decides to leave and go back home. Will Marlix stop her?
Warrior
This story is about Anika, the sister of Alpha Commander Marlix, one of the five commanders who rule Parseon and Urazi, Marlix former beta. Anika runs away after being promised as a breeder because she's secretly in love with Urazi. Urazi goes after her and finds her but the war has started and now they have to rely on each other to survive which brings them closer. Will he turn her over to another or keep her for himself?
This serial box is a dark read and I did enjoy the stories for the world building was quite detailed, the characters likable and the romance steamy with angst and drama but overall I prefer her lighter writing series better - The Intergalactic Dating Agency.

*Breeder
Alpha Commander Dak was blind to what was going on. All he knew about Parseon was wrong. Omra was tougher than he realized. I knew as soon as he came back with her and she met Corren things were not good. Dak had a lot to learn and with Omra by his side, he was going to see the world a whole lot different. Amazing how women are always thought as meek when we are so much more. These two both learn about each other and the pleasure they can bring one another. We still have a villain in the mix though. He causes more trouble.

*Terran
Tara is a Terran and works at the Terran Bazaar. She is a no nonsense woman that is tough but when ACMD Marlix shows up in her shop he just rubes her the wrong way. Marlix can’t understand what it is about this Terran that appeals to him. When he saves from from death, he takes her to heal her but isn’t ready to let her go. I love that these two are tough. They form a perfect team, strong and bold. Tara with her pink hair, piercing, and her steel toe boots and Marlix with his well Alpha status and image. We still have a lot going on in the provinces. The Enclave is becoming more of an interest due to them being more Terran and spreading. We also find out there is a connection between Marlix and Anika.

*Warrior
Anika, now living with her brother Marlix needs a male as a protector. She believes that she needs none. With Jergen gone, she has grown stronger but Urazi still draws her in. When Marlix says she will be the breeder for another Alpha, she makes the decision to run. Urazi does have feelings for Anika but he is a beta. She deserves an Alpha but he isn’t happy about it. These two are chasing each other but it takes the war and her running to finally show them they were meant to be. Anika knew but Urazi needed to fight for her and prove he IS an alpha. Loved the series.

I originally read Breeder as a "one-off" and then bought the series when it was on offer. This led me to reading Breeder again and I seemed to get more out of the story on the second reading. I think the series is great and would recommend it to anyone who likes reading this genre.

The individual books are reviewed below and these have been repeated on Amazon, as well as this complete review of the entire series.

Breeder

A very well written book that investigates what can happen when a society's protocol indicates what should and shouldn't be done against what an alien really wants to do. It is an SFR that makes you want to read more by the same author.

Terran

Tara is a Terran who has adapted to life on Parseon, and she is saved/kidnapped (depending on your point of view) by Marlix who is an Alpha Commander of one the 5 districts of Parseon. Tara is at first terrified of Marlix because of his fearsome reputation for cruelty and tries to escape. When her attempts fail she decides to seduce him.

From this, grows genuine affection between the two that goes against all the norms of the Protocol that governs the way of life on Parseon. Add to this mix, other Commanders who went to ally to take control of Parseon forcing them ever closer to civil war.

This is another well-written book in the Breeder series and well worth a read.

Warrior

Anika is promised as a breeder to an Alpha Commander, but she is in love with someone else and she runs away. Urazi, who is her lover, is tasked with bring her back to fulfil the deal that has been made. As war breaks out loyalties are questioned and their lives are put at risk for disobeying orders.

I think I found this book the most exciting of the Breeder series, the backdrop of the Parseon civil war adding to the level of excitement.

Three strong ladies Omar, Tara, and Anika.
In this, rather brutal society young women are forced to become breeder Omra is the first lady you will meet, and right at first, you can tell how horrible things were for her. Alpha Commander Dak is a hard man but a fair one and what is going on in the Parseon society is not to his liking. In the second book, you will meet Tara and Alpha Commander Marlix. I loved Tara a snarky, sassy lady who is a very colorful person in speech and in looks. In book three Anika runs for freedom instead of a forced union. Alpha Commander Ilian means nothing to her. With a bit of help from Tara Anika is gone. Urazi a beta is who Anika cares for and now he is trying to find her. There are some really good twists in one. I liked the stories with plenty of heat and decent characters it was just fun to read. I hope you check this book out. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

In the world where women have no value unless to breed, when MM relationship is to be anointed, where love, pleasure and passion is abomination, when a race claim to be superior with their protocol way of life, when nature demand them to be men so evil they can treat women less than dirt under they feet, one Alpha come to make a rift.
Force from his own love to his breeder, he start making changes in his province.
Creating a wave that threats the whole planet. Betraying the protocol he hold as an honour badge his whole life, he began a change.
This series definitly need to be read with remembering the world the author created isn't exist in real world.
Lots of trigger warning involve women mistreated so badly. But again, remember Parseon aren't real.
These women subjected to Parseon protocol have their own strength, I believe. The way they stand by their Alpha, submissive they may look to the world, but really the held their Alpha heart in their hands. What strength do women want beside that ultimate power?
I like how the author created her world.

This is a difficult series for a woman to tolerate. Titles include: Breeder (Book 1), Terran (Book 2), and Warrior (Book 3). This is a world where men rule entirely and women have only one use, as breeders to give the males an heir. There are some rare males who should be allowed to live, but not many since they don’t know how to treat another living creature if she’s female.

I was totally uncomfortable reading these stories because they completely go against my strong self-image where I could never see myself accepting this situation. This author is an awesome writer, but this scenario is horrible. By the time I can be taken to a HEA, I would have been dragged out of the room kicking and screaming for my freedom.

I wish I had a better grasp of English so I could write the review that this novel truly deserves. I was so lucky to read these books one after the other. It's amazingly written and very well described. I am in awe of Ms Bristol's imagination. She is in a class with JRR Tolkien and Isaac Asimov. All the characters are real and rounded, they grow and evolve. I loved all the girls especially Anika. She puts herself into danger to hopefully win her right to hope. There are plenty of different elements to hold the readers interest as well as some violence. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. Wonderful, enjoyable and thoroughly entertaining book.

Change is hard, but can be so hot, sexy...hard..and rewarding.

Wow. It's full of fast paced, very captivating characters that keep you wanting more.

Dominating Alphas. Supportive betas and conniving wanna-be betas. Women, breeders, that'll not only change & challenge their Alphas hearts, but their whole world!

You'll enjoy the 3 stories. Each a HEA that could be a stand alone, but thankfully are not. Sinfully, sexy, dominant sex. Forbidden, but strengthening, feelings and relationships. Civil war!?

Wow.

This box set contains the three full length dark sci-fi stories, each one set in the same world but has different main characters. The author has done a great job world building and there are some possible triggers in this harsh futuristic world. The characters are also very well written and have depth to them. There is plenty of steam including domestic discipline in all three of the books. The individual plots have some wonderful twists and turns in them as the characters try to navigate their way through their emotions and the changing world, they live in.

This series was really clever in that it did not leave the reader wondering how it was from this breeder perspective. Each of the three gives the reader a different live experience that brought the main female character to that point. I love this because as I started this series, I wonder how it would be different for someone with a more dominant personality or how a woman from Earth would adapt. The story line carries through all three books in the series, but nothing is left undone at the end. I loved reading this series and would have been happy for more books, but the author covered it all and the series end was very satisfying.

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

This box set contains the three books in the Breeder series, previously published separately. This is a great way to get this series on your library - and a super cheap way!

The world building and characters are amazing, the storylines strong. I can honestly say, I want to be no where near this world created by Cara Bristol, but holy moly these are great reads.

Definitely has dark elements and triggers for some. These books are for the 18+ reader.

I have read other books from this author. It is a change in her style but I liked it. It contains Alphas and betas with breeders and the dynamics are not very reasonable for our world. But that is the point it is not our world. It changes the characters throughout the book. In the end the whole planet changes but the books can be read standalone or as one collection that has characters entwined in each others lives in the books too. I found it well put together and a great read.

Very alpha aliens on a planet where emotions and compassion are considered a weakness. If you're a true feminist, please don't read this book, you'll be angry as hell about the conditions these women are in. They don't have a say about their lives. Having said that, every story is about a couple that makes it work form them. The woman starts to stand up for herself, the male learns there is more then honor and power, and that he can love the right woman without losing his strength. Over the course of these 3 books, there's a civil war starting that will change the future for all.

Wow this sci-fi series shows a dystopian world ruled by a male society where the Alphas rules and Betas are the followers and females are used for offspring on this alien society. This series is dark and each of the 3 stories, has action, adventure and each story has their own HEA. This series about Parseon society shows with each story how each woman contributes for a change. Each book is full of adventure, action and steamy romance each character is unique and captivating I loved it!
