Another action-packed story as Dr. Melanie Destin, Chambers, Chloe, Donovan, agent Umbra, and their several arch nemesis continue their search for Nancy Chambers and a cure for Chloe. This plot is so twisty you will swinging in the breeze, but enjoying the ride as you try to sort it all out. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

In short : an exciting adventure with fascinating concepts and many unexpected turns, sure to keep you intrigued. Pruden writes a strong suspense that keeps in its hold and has you invested in the fates of the characters, even twisting your opinions of them as you go - has you questioning what you thought you knew.

Dive under 800 km of ice on Ganymede
(yes, there's a 100km-deep ocean beneath the ice)

Who do you trust in a world of conflicting information?
Where does your loyalty lie, where that of others?
Is all allegiance illusionary?
Can you tell who's on your side...for now?
Is it better to remain alone and unattached than risk losing someone?

Welcome to Ganymede Station, please leave your preconceptions at the 'port and prepare for some unlikely allies.

Join the crew of Requiem on another adventure, this time among others taking us to the bottom of eight hundred kilometres of ice in a submersible (and if that doesn't sound intriguing enough, the descriptions of some of these places and however Pruden keeps coming up with the mere concepts is beyond me, but it's amazing)
.. but also on a journey into their minds, having to come face to face with the fact that many things are not what they seem, there are many sides to each story (and motive), and it seems that all of us have to question what they/we thought they/we knew. G'Kar once told Sakai on Babylon 5 that "no one here is exactly what he appears" and that goes pretty much for Ganymede Station as well.

It's a race against time for doctor Mel Destin to devise a cure, to find a way to deactivate the killer nanites Chloe has been infected with, now dormant in her body in cryogenic sleep. On top of that, she has to question many of her beliefs and her understanding of several people she thought she had already figured out. A chance encounter in a bar leads her to the tracks of an old adversary and an unforeseen offer of assistance, but what's really behind it all...or who?

Will they be able to save Chloe before it's too late? Where exactly does Willis stand? Will they find Chambers's sister or any clue to her whereabouts? Is large-scale disaster inevitable? Is nothing what it seems?
The seeds of doubt have been sown. Is everyone hiding some essential details? Who exactly is pulling the strings? Who is in charge, and if so, of what? Who's working for who? This adventure will keep you intrigued and guessing about ulterior motives.

This fourth installment of the Requiem's Run series introduces us to a new side of our villain Willis, sheds light on the backstory of many, and takes us on an exciting adventure to save a life - or, rather, several. The story makes Mel second-guess both Willis and herself, leading to choices neither one might have expected at first, and raises yet another question: is even Nancy what she appears to be? Who do you trust in a world of conflicting information? The spy you're supposed to trust or the adversary who would never lie to you, or would he? What kind of risks are you prepared to take to achieve what you need? How many steps do you dare to take towards seemingly impending doom in order to avert a disaster of a different kind?

While we find ourselves reconsidering our opinions on some people and questioning their motives (and admiring the scenery with all its particularities and hanging on the edge of our seats on some points), Pruden goes on weaving a tale that keeps readers captivated and entertained. Whenever you start to think that things might quiet down, they never really will. That ending makes me anxious to read more, having become all too involved in the fates of the people. Also, I've grown rather fond of Maggie the medical assistant AI and now curious to find out more about her past, before her memory was wiped.

Some of the images Pruden paints for us with his skilled words are proof of a phenomenal work of worldbuilding behind all this. The engineer in me can't help but feel like an enthusiastic kid on a holiday. (Also, genius scientists at work are always a joy to behold!) The descriptions of the city of Galileo, the Stack, and the black site are compelling, full of interesting ideas and concepts, and I can hardly wait to see what Pruden shall come up with next. Already all these cortical implants and pinging them with signals, medical nanites keeping from getting too drunk and so (though they can be turned off), the phenomenal works of engineering, and, without spoiling too much here, the whole Quid Fini as a concept... wow!

... and if this is to be your first adventure with the Requiem crew, don't worry, you'll get along just fine. Enough background is provided at essential points along the way to guarantee you uninterrupted enjoyment of the story and appreciation of the more complex situations as well. Fairly surely this won't be your last with them either...

This is the 4th novel in the Requiem's Run series and if you like the previous books, you'll love this one. There's death, love, an unlikely alliance, betrayal (not really surprising) and loyalty (again no surprise), a defrosting and a recovery, a secret prison/prison break, shocks and surprises etc. This book is set on Ganymede, in one of their stacked cities, as well as a submersible ride (or two) in the Ganymede ocean. The story is fast-paced and twisty-turny and I actually read it in one sitting! It could be read as a standalone, but you'll get more from it if you have read the previous three books. The story has Mel reassessing what she is doing and why especially after the game-changing twist.... but never fear she will persist with her investigations into the Jovian Collective and Carson Willis. I'm certainly looking forward to reading the next novel.
I received an advance copy of this book and I am freely providing this review.

A virus that is difficult to cure and one particular person that Mel is trying to save. How will this all end. It’s a definite breath holding book. You can’t wait to find out what happens.

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
*No spoilers*. Ganymede Station is the fourth book in the Requiem’s run series which follows the crew of the Requiem and specifically Melanie Destin. The author has created very interesting characters by making them relatable and flawed (some more than others) and giving them good back stories. The back stories of the main characters, especially Melanie Destin, are explored throughout the series so that you understand what drives them and drives their actions. You can read this book without having read the other books in the series, however as mentioned, the previous books do provide additional back stories.

The universe building in this series, including Ganymede Station, has been good. I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly. Ganymede Station contains plot and character twists and further develops the authors main story line. The players (good and ‘evil’) become more interesting as we learn more about them during the story. The last part of the book especially, shows the true nature of some of the characters. The choices Melanie Destin makes keeps the book moving at a good pace. I recommend this book and by extension, the series.

Book 4 from this fantastic series, and it just keeps on getting better. As always, it's really well written with great dialogue and recurring characters that are believable and consistent. From start to finish, it's full of action and throws in some love, intrigue, betrayal and so much more. If you haven't already started this series, then go get on them straight away! And then go read the rest of this author's books, including the series also featuring Mel Destin! You won't regret it.

This story picks up soon after the last book with Mel still trying to find a cure for Chloe and hoping to catch a break at Ganymede Station. Of course things do not go as planed and I was entertained with what ends up happening. I laughed and groaned and was glued to the end to see how Mel would get out of the trouble she finds herself in this time. Loved the characters as always and the insanity that happens to the poor crew. Just a great addition to the series. Could not wait to see what secrets and surprises would pop up this time.

I received an ARC copy of the book and am pleased to say it was the best book of the series so far in my opinion
Interest is maintained with several twists in this episode while the ending bodes well for book 5

Received as an ARC copy, this is an honest review. Mel's life aboard the Requiem has been constant of various dangers that now have Mel wondering if her time aboard has come to an end. Yet, she still has no answer of how to free Chloe of her murderous nannites or the mystery behind Chamber's sister's disappearance. But slowly unraveling around Mel and the crew are answers to those questions... It's just achieving them that take her to a formidable space prison and surveillance images that will shatter the truth of what really happened to Chamber's sister. But is the cost that will be paid in return worth it in the end. Things are about to get very complicated, highly recommended.

I have read all the novels by this author and am happy to tell you that this is the best one of the lot of them. Not that there was anything wrong with the others, I hasten to add, but I like this series best and now we are at the fourth book, we know the characters, we know the background, and we can sit back and enjoy the ride.
This book was also full of action, which I do enjoy, but not so much that it is daft. Our heroine did not have much time for reflection, and that works, as she does not seem a person to wallow or dither. There is one acutely sad bit - nasty author strikes again - but also a resolution of sorts. I was glad to see the plot go off in a slightly unexpected direction, and I think this added hugely to the interest in this book. Oh, and there are some fun bits, which is always good!
This is a series, so I would recommend starting at the beginning for full enjoyment, but now the books have got this well crafted, I have no hesitation in recommending this book and series to you.

This series just gets better and better! The imagination of the author is incredible and I just can't get enough of these books.
The story is excellent, the writing of a very high quality and many of the characters are really good... or really bad in a totally good way. It is so easy to totally lose yourself in that world for hours at a time.
I received an ARC of this book and my opinions are my own.
