China was introduced in the previous books in this series. After coming home and back to church, she got thrust into the life of Jake, a Coast Guard search and rescue pilot and youth pastor, and helping him out with the youth ministry. Both Jake and China have pain from their lives.
The story had suspense, danger, and romance. The author tackled a real-life topic that is prevalent in society and wasn't afraid to have some of the characters in this story struggle with that topic and mention accountability.

Excellent Story!

Heavy topics are not a problem for this author. She tackles them with grace, knowledge, and integrity. And she's right to bring these up, right in what she talked about in this story. From the various attitudes and opinions of the church members, to the reactions and thoughts of the hero and heroine, Mrs. Rodante hit the target with this book.
If you're looking for a faith-filled suspense romance, this may be just the thing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! It was a fun, romantic, and lighter read but also dealt with the serious topic of pornography and how the church handles it and/or should handle it. I felt that the author dealt with topic very well and gives some awareness as well as shows God's unconditional forgiveness. I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

Cute book

It is a cute story and always keeps you guessing when the suspenseful times will come. It also addresses a very real present day issue and talks about the use of accountability to deal with it.

I’m sure this is a great book but I just can’t seem to finish it. But if I do manage to power through it in the future I’ll update this review. I just can’t do any longer right now😩

A book that fits in well with the others in this series. The characters have more flaws and history than some of the others. Plenty of events, suspense and surprises.

Although this is part of a series, it made sense without reading the previous books. I appreciate that the author deals with serious besetting sins, like pornography, that are common in the church but too often ignored.

I really like Linda K. Rodante's books. I have read this whole series and I loved everyone of them. This is #5 and follows suit in being a very good book even though it is a novella. It has romance, suspense and life lessons from situations that occur in the lives of people every day. China is running from her past and Jake is struggling with an addiction that God has delivered him from. I highly recommend this book if you are a lover of romantic suspense and you will want to read the whole series.

Another great one in the Dangerous Series! Nothing like a little suspense, mystery, romance and a real life HERO to make a book grand. Linda K. Rodante, doesn't shy away from hard issues in her books, and this one deals with the growing addiction of porn in our society. Most of our churches don't even want to touch on this issue but folks it's out there and needs to be dealt with love, forgiveness and grace. After all that is how JESUS dealt with our sins.

I had the privilege of reading Love, Respect Devotion by Linda Knadle Rodante. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Jake and China.
China is a young woman who like ( many of us) lost her way and looked for love in all the wrong places. She left her church and hometown after she had a part in destroying relationships with in the church. She spent time searching for herself and for her faith again. When she felt strong enough and that she could trust the Lord to help her heal and to make amends to the people she hurt, she went back and found that most people were welcoming. There were some that were skeptical but she knew she had to remain.
Jake is the youth pastor, has been for a year or so. He likes working with the kids and feels he has a lot to offer between his struggles to keep his walk with the Lord and his experiences in the Coast Guard as a Helo rescuer.
When he and China are together...the sparks fly. But they both have darker secrets that may make it much harder than anticipated to let their connection grow.
The Lord has a plan for them both....but can they both trust in the Lord and can they trust each other?
I don't want to give anything away but this book touched on a topic that is relevant and prevalent in todays world. The Church body must come together about this. Thank you, Linda Knadle Rodante
for allowing me to read and review for you. I did read them out of order but just makes me want to read them all.

Honor. Respect.Devotion, written by Linda Rodante, is book 5 of the Dangerous Series.

This book tells us China's story. Oh boy...we met her in previous books and I was less than thrilled with how she showed us her true colors in previously, but this time we get the scoop of who she is and what made her into the person she is today.

I loved the way that Rodante introduced us to her again and how she was somewhat shoved into the life and ministry of the Youth Pastor, Jake. Jake has his own issues so when China shows up again with her own side of life blaring...now that's a show you just don't want to miss!

One of the quotes that I just loved in the book is "...I know in another area you’re fighting a war that’s already been won. You are redeemed. Get over here and live like it. No one’s condemning you but the enemy.” You'll have to read the book to see who it's talking about, but know that if you have had a rough life, made bad decisions, or just poor choices in life...Christ died to redeem us from the bondage of sin...and with Him we have already won the victory over sin...we just need to live like it!

I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. All thoughts and opinions within this review are my own.

This little book packs quite a punch. The author gets into some serious issues and she tackles them very well. The book dealt with a problem a lot are dealing with in the church (and outside the church) Pornography. It is a sad and serious fact. The book shows though, that through Christ, there is Victory. The hero had a daily struggle and he knew what the triggers were. And, just like Joseph in the Bible he ran from the temptation. The author didn't gloss over it and even though it is a novella, she did a great job. There is a romance with a young woman who had her own issues of sexuality and began her own journey to the Lord. I love a book that has the characters flaws and all because it helps relate a story and make it applicable to our every day lives. This is a modern day parable and Christ is the only answer that can heal. The struggles are real, but thank God there is victory.

This is a well written, suspenseful story about people confronting and finding help to be free of their sins that have entangled and enslaved them. One of my favorite quotes in this book is: “Some just think the church should be without it (problems), but the church is more a hospital than a resort.” In particular, Honor Respect Devotion deals with pornography’s hidden effects and results on a person, as well as how the church responds to this issue. The book reads well as a stand-alone. I have not read the others in this series, but this book makes me eager to do so. Not only is this a suspenseful story, but it also has some surprises in it. I highly recommend this author.

I have never read a book like this.

Linda tackles tough issues—head on. So many times, pornography is not talked about within the church, or it’s judged without love.

A well-written story with action throughout. It captured my attention from the first page and didn’t let go throughout the read. Both China and Jake suffers from the results of bad choices. We see how the church reacts to them, both in positive and negative ways. It’s a realistic story, one that will challenge you.

I highly recommend this book.

This is book 5 of the Dangerous series but can be read as a standalone.
Linda gives a boatload of suspense with a murder investigation with romance sprinkled throughout.
On a more serious note, she touches on subjects that are considered taboo by some but dealt with in a sensitive manner.
I highly recommend this book.
An ARC was given to me but the opinions expressed are my own.

Love, Honor, Devotion is a well written Christian suspense/romance. The book has a great plot that flows smoothly and the characters are well developed. I have read the previous books in this series and the author once again delivered a fabulous book. If you love a good suspense I recommend this book. I received an ARC of the book from the author but that in no way influenced this review.

Good book. Talks about pornography as an addiction as well as human trafficking and some their connections. Both people have to deal with their past as well as a murder and the murderer is out to get them.
