Wesley Drake and Lawson ‘Law’ Sheppard grew up in Atlanta together as natural-born enemies. I know this is a lead in to an upcoming book.From this teaser, this will be one of the more physical relationships. These guys literally manhandle each other. They will fit right in with Rux and Green.

The story of Law and Sheppard is interesting in that they have been together since they were young. They are fire and brimstone and they bring fire and create the brimstone.

There are a lot of holes in their story but I am looking forward to reading it.

Super short, almost confusing, because we are dumped into a story with a new pair of characters in the Nothing Special world. Looking forward to reading more.

I understand this was just a short tease until the actual book, but it was super confusing at first.

I like the idea of these characters but with this we really don’t learn much about their relationship dynamic or their personalities.

I am eagerly awaiting this full length book so I can actually fall in love with these characters, as I have with almost all of AE Via’s men.

Not sure how to rate this. 2 stars for annoying me and 4 stars because I enjoyed what I read. I didn't realize this was an introduction to new characters coming to the Nothing Special world. On its own - very frustrating. It was like the first chapter with the rest of the book missing. But they're definitely interesting characters.

3.5 stars. Short story with the plot being a reunion. Main characters are pyrotechnics experts. Characters are outlined well to match the story length, and the conclusion is adequate - not a cliffhanger.

Bad editing though, not good for a short story...is it Blackhall or Blackhole Studios? Grammar issues aside, it wasn't enough to throw me off.

This one was really interesting and I loved getting to know these two characters and watching them start to come back together. This is a short story and an introduction to the characters and ends with a HFN and an expectation for them to show up in some future books/series. I loved getting to see Law and Wes trying to find their way back after a bad mistake in Hollywood has sent them both out in disgrace and separated them for about the last year. Wes has come up with a plan to put them both back on top, together, by working together and being together. They definitely have some things that they need to work out as they have always challenged each other and tried to best the other and that played a bit into the accident that occurred. This was engaging, entertaining and enticing and I am super excited to see them in the future and can't wait for them to work with a certain narcotics task force!

So good! I love A.E. Via’s writing style. The emotions are real and the men in her stories are so well written. This was a great intro to Lawson and Wesley. The story packed a punch in just a few pages and scenes. These will be memorable and different MCs in the Nothing Special world. Looking forward to their book!

Ebook. It was a little too brief for my liking but in saying that I hope once these two make it into the nothing special series it will all make sense.
