Police officer Jesse Hendricks, twenty-one since 1900 and hating being a vampire, is secretly in love with his patrol partner Angelico “Lico” DiMarco. Chronically upbeat Lico doesn’t believe in anything supernatural, thankfully, but he keeps teasing Jesse for his vampire-like reserve, pallor, and beauty in the most annoying of ways.
Then, one fateful night, Jesse is injured with a silver blade and needs to feed to survive, and Lico steps up and saves him—body and soul.
GRAVEYARD COPS is a vampire gay romance novella for readers 18 and over only! (14k words)
Crystel loves cute guys - especially when there are two of them in a romance novel who are meant to be! And she likes it best when she can create their plights and fights herself. Her stories come with a product promise: no fade-outs when things get steamy or emotional, and an ending that will leave you smiling. Crystel is a lawyer by training, a lover of pastry, and a believer in Happy Ever Afters. She lives in the Austrian Alps with her big, noisy family.
Short story, dubbed a novella. Two policemen in San Rey, paired and on patrol. The story is told from the perspective of Jesse, the younger cop who has been a vampire for a century. Lico, his partner, doesn't believe in the existence of vampires. The plot is simple: Jesse is cut with a silver blade and requires blood. Greene has the alt-world set for her slightly different rules for vampire existence, but Lico provides the necessary healing as well as a roll in the sheets. Okay, so the patrol partners are gay, Lico accepts Jesse is a vampire, and Jesse just spreads. Sorry, too many coincidences for a top rating, albeit it is a cute, funny, interesting story.
