It's been four years since Monica disrupted the Cinque household, but starting trouble is like riding a bike for Monica, and she's pedaling full steam ahead.
The foundation of Jasmine and James Cinque's marriage has been shaky ever since they dared to bring a third person into their union. Now they're trying to repair the damage they've done, to regain trust and repair broken hearts. But with so much drama in their past, it won't be hard for Monica to come in and shake things up a little.
If Monica is smart, though, she'll watch her back. With so many enemies gunning to take her down, Monica has to decide if Philly is where she wants to be or if she should run back to the ATL where it's safe. Or is it?
Breaking up is hard to do, but making up proves to be just as challenging--especially if Monica has anything to do with it.
Anna J. started writing as a child, creating short stories in her creative writing classes. This later turned into writing poetry in high school. In her early twenties she entered a short story contest, and her first work of fiction "Stories To Excite You: Menage Quad" was published. Always an avid reader, Anna J. saw a void in the industry. The types of books she wanted to read hadn't been written yet. With that in mind, she penned her first book "My Woman His Wife", published in 2004, which quickly became an Essence Magazine best seller. Anna J went on to pen 12 novels. She also participated in 9 short story compilations, and self-published 9 works of fiction. Anna J. Is currently at work on future releases.
I've actually grown tired of the Jasmine, James,Monica drama. I thought the book has the usual twists and turns ,nothing really new and same sexual situation. I'm definitely not buying part four, she's taken these characters as far as she can. Time to KILL their story.
After all Monica did James still slept with her..ACTUALLY thought of replacing Jasmine with her?? That was a Whole Hell Naw.. And we still never found out who killed the Dude in jail..smh..
In the third installment of the My Woman, His Wife series, we revisit the lives of Monica, James, and Jazz; A family that has been turn upside down because of the threesome several years ago. An awful car accident has now placed a dent in a family that was finally getting about on its feet after a threesome gone bad. The repercussions of this threesome will be brought to light as the accident reveals more than just physical wounds.
While Jazz is in a coma, one of the twins needs a blood transfusion to save his life. But something is terribly wrong. Can James assist with the saving of his son’s life or will something or someone stand in the way?
Monica is back and very concerned about the son that she left behind. The checks are not being cashed, the mail is being forwarded, and now the phone calls are not being answered. She travels back home to figure out what is happening; in the process she must deal with the threat of someone trying to kill her. Will Monica get her questions answered about her son’s whereabouts? Who wants Monica dead and why?
Anna J has done it again. The rollercoaster ride starts from page one. The greatest plus with this novel is that you don’t not actually have to read the first two installments to understand this one. Enough background information is given so the reader can process the book. I can’t wait until the next novel is ready.
Monica is always up to no good until the bitter end. James is still self centered and thinking with his lower extremities. Jasmine is still holding onto her secret until it is revealed under dire circumstances beyond her control.
Even in the end after all is said and done and all cards are allegedly on the table, lies and secrets are still lurking. Love this series and the homage the author always pays to Philly
Good Book But I Don’t Think It Needed To Be A Third Part Of This Story. It Dragged On Too Long Only For The Main Events To Happen In The End But Those Weren’t Needed Either. I Don’t Understand Why The Four Years In The Book Between Book 2 And 3 Weren’t Explored More. It Would Have Been A Way Better Story Than This One. I Will Check Out More Of Anna J’s work I Just Didn’t Like This Last Installment Of The My Woman His Wife Series.
When I first picked up this book, I didn't think I would like it, but as I read on, I found myself totally intrigued and could not put it down. Chelsea was the true definition of crazy, and would stop at nothing to get a man. Hey obsession landed get in jail, and what happens next is…jaw dropping! I'm looking forwards to reading the next two books in this series.
Title: Disappointing and Repetitive: A Review of "Monica and James"
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
I recently found myself growing tired of the web of lies and drama surrounding Monica and James in this series. Hoping for some redemption, I decided to give it another chance, but unfortunately, I deeply regret that decision.
One of the biggest issues I encountered with this book was the overwhelming sense of déjà vu. The storyline seemed stuck in a repetitive loop, with the same themes and conflicts being recycled over and over again. It felt as though I was reading a rehashed version of the previous book, which quickly became monotonous and boring.
The characters themselves lacked depth and failed to evolve throughout the story. Monica and James, once intriguing and captivating, became predictable and one-dimensional. Their interactions lacked genuine emotion and became nothing more than tired clichés.
Another major letdown was the overall pacing of the book. It felt rushed and disjointed, leaving little room for proper character development or meaningful plot progression. It seemed as though the author was more focused on reaching the end rather than crafting a compelling
The repetitive nature of the storyline, lackluster character development, and rushed pacing made it a challenging book to enjoy. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this book to those seeking a captivating and original read.
FINALLY! I couldn't wait to get this book out my library.
Fuck James, Fuck Jasmine, and Fuck Monica! I couldn't stand any of these goddamn people. And the further I got into the series, the more they got on my damn nerves. I thought Monica was gonna die in the end. She didn't. But I wish she did. Then the world would be free from the spell of her beauty and magical pussy...since everybody knew what a snake bitch she was but couldn't seem to resist her sex or whatever. It was ridiculous.

Monica seems like she has matured a little in this book. But James is still the same dumb ass he was in Book 1. I can't believe he sleep with Monica again without a condom. He is just stupid to me at this point. Jazz, I did not like how she treated Junior....like for really girl. But overall the James, Jazz, and Monica saga ended well.
The story was good but too many repetitive phrases. I also didn’t like how Monica was too hypersexual for no reason. In other books Monica using sex as a means to an end, there was always a reason. This last book was a stark difference, the random sex with strangers just b/c she’s bored was off putting, it didn’t fit, at least for me.
This book was eye catching from beginning to end, and I have already recommended it to several people. Even though some words were misspelled the book was great! All three of them!
After all the trouble Monica caused they all were still so taken with her!! Her "P" must be really powerful!!! James is an asshole, Jasmin has issues and Monica needs to lay on someone's couch!!! Sheila did grow a backbone, but still did everything Monica asked!! Friends....yeah, right!!! I'm tired of the blame....folks need to take responsibility for what they've done!!
This series is soooo messy and dramatic and I'm here for it ALL! I'm hoping for the next book to tie up some loose ends for me though. Glad I found Anna J's books. She keeps me interested and the love-making scenes are HOT!
Omg. I almost felt sorry for Monica concerning her relationship with her son. She didn’t deserve what happened to her at the end. Jasmine and James need self-control. Neither one of them can afford to be mad at the other. I wonder if it will be a part 5.
Wow, I wasn’t expecting it to end the way it did, not really sure that Ms Monica has changed her ways or just mastering them. Just happy that Jasmaine and her husband worked things out.
This was an intense book hands down. I wanted the Cinques to stay together and move past their obstacles. Anna J delivered an awesome story about how marriages go through hard times, and watching them struggle was an emotional journey. When it’s all said and done, spouses should work together to resolve their issues, and she did an outstanding job with creating strong characters. I loved all the characters and scenarios, and she’s now at the top of my list of favorite authors.

“My Woman His Wife 3" by Anna J. was a good read. The beginning kind of puzzled me but with the return of Monica, was well worth the read. This woman never seems to amaze me. She is slick, deceitful and strictly out for herself. I liked how the author displayed a soft side to Monica in this book. She displayed Monica's concern for the well being of her child that she abandoned in the 2nd book and wanted to make sure that he was being loved and taken care of properly by the Cinque's. There were many secrets that were disclosed and affected a lot of people in this story. I didn't like that Jasmine was hurt so early in the story but I was glad that she was able to recover and mend things with her husband, James for the sake of their children. I do question, James's loyalty to Jasmine and I wonder if he will ever change...
3.5 Stars 1/10/14! After reading Parts 1 & 2 I couldn't wait to read part 3. However, they story was slow and the drama & plots didn't pick up until I was more than half way done. Of course things picked up exactly were 2 left off which was good. I disliked Monica in the first two books but, I ended up liking her in this one. I wonder if Anna J will write another part based off Monica. From the way things ended I hope so!!!
