My mum read to me from an early age and encouraged me to write my own stories. She was positive I could become a published author. Unfortunately she passed before she could see my dream come true. I still miss her love and friendship. It was the catalyst for me to start writing seriously.

I write paranormal and contemporary romances and romantic comedy.

When I'm not writing I enjoy reading, cinema, live gigs, theatre, keeping fit, travel, Formula One, darts and spending quality time with friends.

I really enjoyed this festive read. It’s funny, cute and steamy all roles into a Christmas romance package.

Maya is in need of a break. When she books a coach trip she thinks it will be the perfect way to relax. What she doesn’t expect is Carter. After a run in with fate, the two got off to a rocky start. Now they’re stuck on a coach together. Let the fun times begin.

The Festive Love Coach

A Christmas Romance with a spark of humor and Maya Singleton was done with men easier said than done. You have to relax with a glass of wine for this captivating read.

I like reading this cute romantic love story with a dramatic and fast pace read. What you get from this story are hysterical scenes, coincidence setbacks, misconceptions you will love to read.

Will love find a way in her life after the disappointments from her ex discretion? Toya Richardson has written an excellent enchantment of love. I recommend the fabulous Christmas story.

I loved this uplifting story and felt sad when it came to an end - I feel like I've lost some good friends. I loved the characters (except for one) as they were so real; Maya being my favourite and it shows that the author has really thought through each of their personalities to fit their part. It is a lovely, well written story, although it starts off where I really felt for Maya. Maya was looking forward to going on holiday with her boyfriend but it ends up falling through because he can't keep it in his trousers. I can't tell you how mad I was!
Maya, obviously heartbroken, decides to book herself another holiday, taking whatever was available to her with it being short notice just before Christmas and ends up booked on a coach trip to Eastbourne - What could possibly go wrong?!
I loved the setting and could imagine being wrapped up and walking along the sea front with the wonderful taste and smell of the sea air, the wind messing up my hair, being in new company, good food ... One thing from the story that really struck me is, how much even the smallest amount of kindness can go a long way.
This story is full of warmth, it's laced with humour (which literally made me spit my tea out in parts!) and love and friendship. Also taking chances in life. There are some lovely scenes and I enjoyed every moment with these believable characters.
I really wanted some good to come out of the bad in Maya's life; she needed to love and be loved and she deserved the best.
This is a real romantic, heartwarming story not to be missed and I can't recommend it enough, it's superb. It's 10 stars from me!

This was a book version of a huge hug and that big sigh afterwards. This is the story of Maya and Carter, both broken from previous relationships and on a whim, book an old people's coach tour to Eastbourne to prevent them from spending Christmas alone. What ensues is a hilarious, light-hearted story of two people finding love again in the most unlikely of situations. I loved this Christmassy themed story with little angst, which left me with such a lovely feeling when I finished it, I for one cannot wait for another Christmas read from Toya.

A festive rom-com, what more can we ask for? One thing I love about this Author is that she's not afraid to try new things. Festive Love Coach is fun, light, and easy reading. All of the characters - even the secondary characters - make this book. There is some laugh out loud moments, heart warming moments, and a romantic holiday romance. It's a definite one click novella for this time of year.

Maya had an early Christmas gift...unfortunately, finding out that your boyfriend is a cheating love rat, isn’t something you want to be surprised with the day before your due to go on holiday together. But, luckily you can throw this gift to the curb and start a fresh for the New Year.

One problem...how are you going to spend the festive season now?

“It could be that the fates, or whatever, are giving you another chance. Maybe a helping hand?”

After a couple of mishaps with a stranger and her options running out, Maya sees an advert for a festive coach trip. It may not be her cup of tea, but this could be the perfect break that Maya needs. Maya knows that men may be on the trip, but on the plus side...they are more than likely to be in the golden oldies category.

One thing she wasn’t expecting was to be sharing a room with the stranger she previously met- and possibly shared embarrassing clumsy moments with…Caught under the mistletoe Maya and Carter share more than sweet unforgettable kisses.

As the festive days fly just as fast as Santa’s sleigh, Maya knows she must say goodbye to her friends and the one who’s unwrapped her heart making Maya wish for more with Carter.

But this was pure fantasy. It was great that they were becoming friends, but when their holiday ended, they’d return to their normal lives. To the read world.

This was the perfect festive read!

Soo endearing and wholesome sweet love!! I enjoyed reading Maya & Carter’s story and meeting the other characters on the coach. Laugh out loud moments as you almost meet or witness some of the characters mentioned on trips you’ve taken yourself, you’re able to visualize what is happening and relate to the event that is taking place.

A story that will melt your heart and believe that fate may just find you where you least expect it.

“I want you kiss you.”

“Then do it.”

I’ve been looking forward to reading this Xmas romance and I was not disappointed
It may well be my favourite book yet from this wonderful author.
I loved the uplifting story and literally didn’t want it to end.
Great charactors that were easy to get to know, they.
Looking forward to a trip with her boyfriend Maya suprises him with a visit only to be the one surprised to find him in bed and he was most certainly not alone.
Maya, is totally heartbroken but decides she’s going on vacation, taking any available trip on short notice just before Christmas.
Sooo she ended up booking a coach trip to Eastbourne.
I’ve never been to Eastbourne but I may just have to have a long weekend away after reading this.
Icahn picture snuggles up with a good book and taking walks along the sea front.
The story is filled with emotion, care, humour, lots of humour love and understanding.
Mayas character made me want her to have everything in life she deserved and to realise her cheating ex lost out big time when he lost her.
This is a real romcom that will stay with me a long time
Highly recommend this heartwarming story.

Romantic Comedy
The Festive Love Coach opens with a bang. At a surprise visit to her boyfriend, Maya finds him entangled with his female business partner. She leaves him, and the flat, never to look back. The only difficulty is that it is close to Christmas and she has nowhere to go. The planned trip with her boyfriend is a smoking ruin and all the ‘interesting’ journey destinations are booked. What to do? Maya decides on a coach trip to Eastbourne.
Onboard there are quirky characters enough to satisfy any taste but worse, there is a young man who Maya already met – in unlucky circumstances. Honestly, the meet-cute between Maya and Carter is everything but cute. It gives Ms Richardson amble opportunity to exploit the antipathy that could lead to romance.
This is a festive romp that is both well-written and entertaining. A hotel in Eastbourne, loads or elderly but exceedingly alive characters, misunderstandings, mishaps, and rich food to die for – and fight to get rid of for the rest of the year. It was a quick but fun read – something to indulge in while enjoying a cream tea or with mulled wine and mince pies.

Maya is looking forward to her skiing trip with boyfriend Stu, coming home early from work she pops into Stu's place and he's been a bit naughty under the covers, but not with her, this holiday is off happy christmas Stu your dumped.
All her family are booked to go away else where so where does this leave Maya?
with a whole two weeks off, outside her local travel agents spots a cancellation showing in the window, a coach trip to Eastbourne, not usually her thing, but a snap reduction she went for it.
Carter is also looking for a last minute getaway and saw the cancellation in the window.
This couple have both took a chance it will either be a trip from hell or a big surprise, and I couldn't wait to carry on reading to find out.
I found it such a joy with a few hilarious wicked funny moments that will make you giggle.
Maya and Carter are perfect joined as one.
This is a truly festive book that will give readers so much pleasure.
I highly recommend to put this on your Christmas list.
loved it all, so magical .

Wow, this was a great love-story for Christmastime! I loved it! There are some special people on this love-coach, loved the descriptions of some. All-in all, this was a lovely story, with loads of British humour, I enjoyed it immensely. The story goes like this:
Maya Singleton is finished with men. For good. Especially after finding her ex doing the wild thing with his business partner. To make matters worse after this monumental nightmare, she has two accidents involving a guy she’s never met before. Could life get any worse?
Now she’s faced with a dilemma. The skiing trip with her ex is a no go, so what should she do for the festive season? Answer? Go on a coach trip to Eastbourne! The only holiday available a few days before Christmas.

A heartwarming and jolly read.

Maya our heroine is having a tough Christmas and who could blame her as all her plans went out the window with the surprise that greeted her when getting in early from work.

Her character is dippy and clumsy which makes her even more loveable and also relatable too every girl who has had a bad day or some clumsy embarrassing moments.

Our hero Carter is sweet, caring, works with the elderly. Everything he does is considerate and I just swooned reading about his character during the whole book. Imagine being jealous of a heroine book character. Yep that was me guilty as charged but what is not to swoon over.

The characters that are introduced during the coach trip are all unique, comical and you would just be overjoyed to have them as family. Well, most of them.

There is nothing that is not just joyful and lovable about this read, it is definitely one of my all time favourite reads and I only read Christmas books every year in December.

One of my favourite reads this year, cannot recommend this Christmas read enough.

"A Christmas romance with a sprinkling of humor" - a perfect way to describe this festive romance story.

I loved The Festive Love Coach. It’s a warm hearted Christmas romance, with unexpected friendships, laughs and of course love.

Newly single Maya's Christmas plans have changed. Instead of sitting at home nursing her broken heart and feeling sorry for herself, she decides to book a last minute coach trip to Eastbourne.....unknowingly with Carter Jones the guy she spilt coffee on.
Carter, not wanting to be seen or pestered by his family about his love life, books a trip away for Christmas to take his mind off relationships.....then gets thrown into one.
Maya and Carter make the best of an unexpected situation, which pays off for them both.

I love Toya Richardson's words. Her stories and characters are so vivid and life like, it makes me want to visit the places she writes about.
Read The Festive Love Coach and you'll see what I mean.

The Festive Love Coach by Toya Richardson is a sweet and funny dual POV Christmas short story.
After a rather heartbreaking start to the holiday season and Maya expecting to be alone, her situation is turned upside down thanks to a lucky cancellation.
Then you have Carter who’s more than ready to just leave the holidays as they are, but then a last minute holiday booking has him a little more hopeful.
This coach trip is nothing like either would have expected, and especially not ending up on the trip together. These strangers start off as slight enemies, only to end up as lovers with a little humour thrown in to bring up their festive spirits.

Side note: some of the British terminology threw me and I had to look up the meaning. I normally can work it out, but unfortunately there were just a few too many that I wasn’t sure about and this cause me to pause reading. Due to this I drop my rating down.

This book is a fun festive read that helps you get lost into their world very easily.
This is the story of Maya and Carter and their unfortunate first meetings that leave them gutted when they realise they have both signed up for a festive coach trip!
Loved these guys..they were instantly at ease with each other and loved how they were with the older people in the group too.
If you are looking for a light hearted flirty fun read this is your book.
Only complaint is I could have read much more about them :-) would definitely recommend this story.

5 Humorous, Christmassy, Romantic Stars!!!

This is the first book of Toya Richardson’s I have read, and it will not be my last! I loved this quirky, comedy romance. It broke away from the norm, it has a unique kind of storyline, one I have not seen written before. It is a story that will stay with me, one where I will see something in real life that will take me back to this story and have me smiling or chuckling away to myself. A Christmas Romance I will definitely enjoy reading, again and again.

This story is full of loveable, enjoyable characters that each have their own distinctive characteristics about them. They each in their own way have you chuckling at their antics or the things they come out with. They are full of fun and remind the younger generation how much the old generation has to offer us, as well as remind us, they too were young once, they have indeed, been there, done that, and got the t-shirt!

If you enjoy Christmas romances with added humour, a little unique Britishness to them and that are different from the average Christmas romance, I recommend reading The Festive Coach, you will not be disappointed!
