Rate this book
"With fast-paced action and absurd humor [...] Super Dweeb in an exciting new series for fans of Captain Underpants or Diary of a Wimpy Kid" - SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL

Andy may be a little socially awkward, but thanks to his awesome atomic pencil - which can bring doodles to life - he's far from an ordinary dweeb . Look out, evil-doers ... here comes SUPER DWEEB !

Mona, the cool new girl at school, has somehow talked Andy into becoming a costumed crimefighter. Now he's gained both an army of fans, and an arch-enemy ... and he can't decide which is worse!

The president-for-life of Andy's fan club is his little brother, Oscar, and while he may not have a superpower, Oscar's still super-determined to become Andy's sidekick. Andy is definitely not up for having a little kid following him around!

Meanwhile, witness the diabolical origin story of Doctor Eraser-Butt - the sinister super-scientist, who can obliterate objects from existence with the power of his behind.

This is the second book in the Super Dweeb series, written and illustrated by Blue Peter 2021 award-winner Jess Bradley. Told with comic-strip illustrations in full-color, this unpredictable, anarchic adventure story is perfect for readers aged 7-9.

I'm an illustrator and character designer based in Bristol, England. I graduated from UWE Bristol in 2003 with a BA HONS in Illustration (First) and have been doodling a living ever since. My clients have included Capstone Publishing, Igloo Books, Top That! Publishing, Quarto, UK Apparel, Genki Gear, Tick Tock Books, UK Greetings, Air Emirates and Carlton Books.

My work is cute, colourful and quirky and I love nothing more than designing ooddles of characters. I make a lot of my own goods including stickers, postccards, prints, greetings cards, keyrings, badges and original paintings. I can be found at several UK comic book conventions.

Although I use digital colouring in my work, I still hand-draw everything before scanning because I think wobbly lines are awesome.

I enjoy whittling away the hours by drawing, playing video games (Bomberman and We Love Katamari are my favourites), watching films, reading real books and comics and drinking as much tea as my puny bladder can hold.

These books are hilarious for elementary or middle grade kids. I love the brother dynamic and I'm pretty sure my kids would love these. Added to Christmas list!

Es MUY gracioso y me hizo reír que su mayor rival sea un CULO que originalmente era una persona normal, el Doctor Trasser XD
Me gustó más que el 1 y ahora quiero leer el resto.

In this second adventure of the stories of the Super Dweeb, with the magic pencil, Andy and his friend, Mona, battle and evil scientist who has turned into Doctor Eraser-Butt.

Full of jokes, and silliness, and all things relating to having a butt that can erase things, Andy and Mona team up again, plus Oscar, Andy's little brother, who has been selling Super Dweeb merchandise, has created his own costume, and wants to join him fighting super villains as Kid Crayon.

Kids will love it. Parents will find it fun too. Good series.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book I read by this author- it is definitely going to be a very popular with fans of similar graphic novels such as Dog Man, Captain Underpants, Big Nate, etc.

The illustrations are colourful and funny, the storyline very funny, and the characters just lovable. My daughter already said she wants to read the next one in the series.
