I’m Sebastian Hunter, President of the United States. My job and reputation rely on discretion. Those around me know their roles. My rivals can’t wait for me to make a mistake. Now that I’ve met her, they have their chance, and they intend to use it to their full advantage.

She and I had an agreement—one and done, but she broke our agreement and I’m left to pick up the pieces and deal with the fallout.

This isn’t what I signed up for, but it’s my reality. If I handle this right and hope I don’t lose her in the process.

Enjoyable Read

I have to say, I really enjoyed reading this book. NO. Actually, meeting both Laila and Sebastian was the highlight of this book for me. Their approach takes on an unconventional relationship that brings them together. And Their chemistry is one of love and MUTUAL respect.

Their Lives are not always rosy, and they both know the true road to happiness is paved with tests and trials.
And Chiquita Dennie puts it all together in a very enjoyable way. once again, I really enjoyed the short staycation.

Sebastian is the President of the United States and Laila is not someone you would necessarily think he would be openly involved with. They meet, they are drawn to one another and they are not able to let it stop with just one encounter. There is something exciting about being in a hidden relationship but when the connection is strong is it possible to keep things on the downlow? Especially with someone in such a high profile position, how will they manage to navigate their connection and his political career? Intriguing political romance.

This story flowed at an impressive pace. It held my attention throughout and was eagerly awaiting the outcome.
Sebastian Hunter wanted Laila the moment he saw her. The issue was he was the President of the United States and she was an escort. Although Sebastian's close friends tried to talk him out of pursuing Laila, he was determined.

What happens when feelings become involved with a top government official who is connected to someone of a less than stellar background?

A 1st time reader of this author, this was an intriguing political romance. Can the president and an escort be together? Well you'll have to read the story to see. However this was quick paced and intriguing.The story is intriguing because we know people are not perfect and we know that love sometimes creates havoc.

Pro:
- The quick pace of the story, of the conversations, like an action/political TV series.
- Sebastian is the epitome of the alpha male.
- The sex scenes are great.

Cons:
- Some parts need to be edited: why always a list of what they eat, why always mention she takes showers and what she wears after to dry on? It got boring.

I’ve lost interest at chapter 12 and scroll until the end of the book.

Sebastian and Laila

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I must say I really enjoyed reading this story. I loved the characters and they were well developed. Love comes in many different ways and I’m happy they explored a character with a past and succeeded. I love how Sebastian protected her while in the public eye.

Love, love, loveee this book!!! The tension, the yearning, the passion ….ughhh 😫this book had me hooked. I loved the forbidden aspect of this book and how they weren’t supposed to be together, but the keep seeing each other. Sebastian was so possessive, dominant and lowkey jealous and I’m eat up every second of it!!!
