In a strange twist of fate, a lady transmigrates into the game character Jun Karentia. This lowly support mage is one of the recruitable characters in the Holy Demon War. Thankfully the protagonist Fabian saves her in a starter dungeon and she decides to use her knowledge about the game, Jun's powers, and her secret status windows to push the world to the good ending. The problem? This game doesn't end after one playthrough. The demon king turns back time after his first defeat. Thankfully Jun keeps her memories but this time... Fabian abandons her, choosing an artifact over her life. Grand Duke Mayer Knox--captain of the Dark Knights and the hidden final boss--arrives to save her from a cyclops and is determined to have her join his party. Unsure if Fabian will navigate this harder cycle, Jun decides to gamble on changing the plot. Newly appointed Vice-Captain of the Dark Knights, Jun must uncover why Mayer wants her, train up heroes, face the secrets of Nochtentoria Castle, recover from betrayal, and turn a boss monster into the future emperor. *****----------*****----------***** This is a well done isekai adventure. It uses expected tropes to flesh out the world, doesn't waste too much time in level grind repetitions, and has an array of fun character interactions. It focuses on the moral and psychological ramifications which elevates the material. It does cheat the sacrifice element some in the finale for a more traditional happy ending. I'm not normally a fan of this, but it is seeded well within the tale which makes it easier to accept.
