Oh man, was soll ich sagen? Die ersten drei Viertel waren für mich mal wieder uninteressantes Blabla über das Marketing der Unicorn Boys, was eh immer alles sonnenscheinchenmäßig gut läuft. Das letzte Viertel war dann wieder die wholesome Beziehung, die ich doch hier sehen will. Ich weiß nicht recht - das Verhältnius stimmt nicht, aber dennoch liebe ich diese kleinen Beziehungskisten, die hier doch immer wieder aufgemacht werden. Zum Glück erscheint der nächste Band erst im November (was ist da eigentlich los?), also kann ich mir bis dahin Gedanken machen, ob ich weiterlese.

I have no idea why there was such a hugh gap between this volume and the previous one. But it's nice to see it finally came out.

Very little Kira in this volume so I very much enjoyed it. Most of the focus was on the Unicorn Boys finally debuting and Wako-Meguru couple stuff.

Looking forward to volume 5. I hope it drops this year. 😂

An einer Stelle fragt sich Kaoro, warum denn überhaupt jemand Interesse an der Verfilmung seines Mangas hat, da die Serie quasi keinen Plot hat und dafür umso mehr vom Aussehen der Charaktere getragen wird- die Frage könnte man natürlich auch auf My Genderless Boyfriend übertragen, da die Serie hauptsächlich nur von Femboys handelt, die mal mehr, mal weniger alltägliche Dinge machen. (Obwohl der Manga das Wort Genderless im Titel trägt, ist das Wort Femboy besonders als Beschreibung für den titelgebenden Meguru angemessener, da sich keine der Figuren explizit als agender oder anderweitig geschlechtslos identifiziert... Vielleicht mochte der Verlag den Titel My Femboyfriend einfach nicht.)

Mir fehlte auch in diesem Band der rote Faden und ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass fast jedes der Themen hier länger in etwa zwei bis drei Kapiteln ausgearbeitet wird- außer vielleicht das Kapitel, in dem sich Kiras Buttler um seinen kranken Arbeitgeber kümmert. Das Thema fand ich jetzt so uninteressant, das hätte man auch in einem Nebensatz aufarbeiten können. Besonders, da Kira nur in einem Kapitel auftaucht, dort krank ist und dann im ganzen Band nicht mehr erwähnt wird.

C'est bien intéressant que certains autres ont abandonné le volume à cause de comportement "ennuyeux" et "ridicule" de Wako, alors que justement c'est un comportement tout à fait normal et ce qu'on s'attend de voir dans la société japonaise, vu l'importance du "paraître" et le succès médiatique qu'on est obligé d'atteindre dans une situation de "clou qui sort" qui sont malgré toutes les apparences d'acceptation, même Méguru, c'est en fait cela qui est le problème et le fil narrateur qui tien ensemble ce manga - les producteurs des médias demande tout ce que bon leur semble pour augmenter les audimat et les ventes, pour certains, comme Sasame, c'est extrêmement difficile et il y a toujours un désir d'aller vers un "idole idéal" avec des réactions extrêmes et polarisantes(heureusement pour Sasame, que cela s'est bien passé d'ailleurs), d'autres sont aliénés de la société depuis l'enfance, comme Kira, d'autres encore sont comme les collègues de Wako, dans ce grand petit monde des as de marketing et des fans de "boys band" et "unicorns band". Je dirais que, comme toujours Tamekou nous montre ce monde avec délicatesse et respect.

Uff. Meine anfängliche Faszination ist verflogen. Ich habe diesen Band wirklich überhaupt nicht gemocht. Erst einmal hat mich von Anfang an der deutsche Titel gestört: My genderless Boyfriend ist faktisch falsch, denn Meguru ist und sieht sich als Mann und nicht nonbinär oder dergleichen. Warum man nicht My pretty/beautiful Boyfriend nehmen konnte, verstehe ich nicht. Was mich aber vollends gestört hat ist Wakos Verhalten, das ich total nervig und komplett übertrieben finde. Ich weiß nicht warum ich es noch in den ersten drei Bänden noch süß fand, aber hier hats mir gereicht. Ich bin nicht mehr länger an der Reihe interessiert und werde es abbrechen.

Der Band war leider gar nichts für mich und ich habe ihn eigentlich nur überflogen. Mir war einiges zu exzentrisch, zu wenig Wako und Meguro, und die Storyline mit dem Coach und dem Bro finde ich recht uninteressant. Einzig gutes waren die Szenen mit den beiden sowie Wako als Redakteurin mit dem Mangaka Kondo. Es ist schon cool, das Meguru und Sasame ihr Schauspieldebut geben konnten, aber ich glaube nicht, dass Megurus Herz so sehr dafür brennt. Und es war süß, dass die beiden ihre Date von vor Jahren nachgestellt haben. Aber die Reihe ist für mich einfach middle of the road und etwas lackluster - hatte mir etwas anderes erhofft, idk.

2.5 ⭐ There was a 3 year gap between this volume and the last, so I glanced over the character page before reading and immediately the focus was on characters who had not been listed in the character summary. The story was nothing special other than that, and so this felt like a disappointment all in all.

just genuinely cute! I’m a sucker for this series and I’m actually sad I finished it ;; I fell for the characters! although I did wish we had seen more of Kira. but overall I loved it! sweet, progressive and subversive. a yes from me!

I'm so glad that the story is moving along! The heart of the plot is definitely the relationship between Wako and Meguru. It's also so funny how it's basically a story about how to secretly date an idol. I'm so excited for the next volume!

Me gustaría que este manga no se diviviera con tantos personajes ;-; porque siento que no logra desarrollar mucho en profundidad. Y es una pena, porque siento que todos los personajes tienen historias asombrosas que contar, pero no al mismo tiempo.
