Ankit was born in November, 1995 to a lovely family of Ms. Lalita Rathore and Mr. Mahadev Rathore. He is also blessed with two siblings, an elder sister by three years and a younger sister by three years. His parents truly planned it carefully!
He spent most of his childhood in a small town called Sanawad, around 100kms south of Indore, in Madhya Pradesh and never at that young age he thought of ever writing a book. He was really happy with all the Science-y stuff, but then in the last two years of schooling, some events left inside him a perennial itch to write and ever since he has been writing on and off. While all this inner turmoil could easily throw a person off-course, he did manage to secure a place in the renowned IIT Bombay and passed as a Computer Science Graduate in 2017.
After graduation, he has been working as a Software Engineer with Edgeverve Systems and residing in Bangalore since mid 2017. On weekdays, he may be writing in languages only machines could understand, but rest of the time, he continues to pour out stories or is involved in other creative fronts such as film-making and theatre.
Lastly, he also loves collaboration in any kind of creative projects and loves to contribute in whatever capacity he can.
A little mischievous, a little sentimental, and a lot of heart-warming moments - that's what I felt while reading this book. Ibaratein talks about multiple phases of life, and the insights and observations are simple, yet profound, making it a delightful short read. There's moments where you'd laugh (Apne baare me kya kahun), moments where you'd be nostalgic (Bachpan), and bittersweet moments where you'll be confused whether to smile or shed a tear (Hum hi kuch aur samaj baithe).
When a smallish book (can be read within two hours) makes you feel such a wide range of emotions, you know there's something special about it ;)
P.S. Yes, Ankit is my friend, but no, I was not paid to write this :P All of the above comes straight from the heart. Don't believe it? Read it and make your own judgments :)
This beautifully written collection of poems took me down the lanes of nostalgia, wonder, wit and some bitter-sweet memories. Such a delightful experience, I’d highly recommend to give it a read :D
The poems forces one to take a time out from the rush that the life puts us through and makes one appreciate the beauty of all the sweet nothings that we take for granted. Composed in simple words but evokes multitude of emotions inside.
