I feel a surge of heat rush through me at the sight of her.
Jewel, her name tag reads.
There’s a reason I come here every day, making sure there are no other little boys her age looking at my Jewel. Making sure everyone around here knows who she belongs too.
Even if I’m too old for her, and forty-one is way too old for an eighteen-year old, as I keep reminding myself, I still need to be here. To protect her. To watch over her. To be here just in case.
She’s the light to my darkness, the smile that can give my scowl balance, and more accurately wipe it from my face forever.
I don’t care if she deserves better than me, it’s me she’s going to get. No other is ever going to lay a hand on her. No one will take her from me.
She’s my little Jewel and I’m her Daddy. Forever...
This is a short, steamy, daddy romance. No OM / OW drama and no cliffhangers. Always a sweet HEA.
“Possessive Daddy” is the story of Jewel and Jake.
So, older heroine claims the much younger heroine and makes her his little girl. I have to be honest, I don’t mind roleplay but the crayons and stork talk gave me heebies.
Making other people look bad won't make you look any better.
The main girl keeps saying how weak and I don't know what all the boys her age are, and how strong and powerful her guy is, and I really hate that comparation, because he was a boy once too.
"I just nod, scared for whoever gets in their way at the gym today. Their skin is already red from the heightened internal body temperature, likely the result of steroids, and the coffee’s only making it worse considering the way their veins pop out of every single part of their bodies. Probably not helping with the acne on their backs either, as if their rock hard muscles and inability to walk without waddling because of their overdeveloped leg muscles wasn’t enough of a clue that they’re getting more than a little help on the bench press from just the coffee, and more likely out of a syringe in the backside"
I stopped reading after that, because her guy is described as the biggest and strongest, but she never mentions what's he using, because he has all those characteristics, so he must be on something too.
And let's not forget her coworker. She was made to be desperate for attention, mean to the main girl and she hates dogs. It was lame.
So, maybe instead of comparing yourself to others and saying how better you are from them, you should start minding your own business and working to be even better.
Our hero just wants to protect her and take care of her, but he struggles with the age gap. But it turns out our heroine doesn't care about such details.
This is book eight in the series, but the story is written as a standalone, so no prior reading is required.
This is a short erotic romance with an older/younger theme. The story is well written and easy to read with two well rounded characters that are just made for each other. This is something of an instant love story with a couple that has excellent chemistry which makes for a fun story. This was a quick and easy read with was a lot of fun, making for a good relaxing time. Overall, it made for a very fun read and I look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.
Age gap, daddy kink, she's a barista and he's a famous jeweler, he's obsessed with her and stalks her literally, she's her own woman and likes to work for herself and not be given things, like handouts from other people to which Jake tries to. Her mom is an alcoholic and a drug addict and blames her for the inconsistencies in her life. She gets help at the end and is really healthy at the end. He's so overprotective of her and what happens to her and how others treat her which is so cute. They have like 2 sets of twins and 2 other kids. HEA.
Is LL being punny or does she really not know the phrase is a PYRHHIC victory? Also-stop with the Jackson Pollack reference. It gets old after the third time in 8 books. And WHERE are these books taking place? We get it-every hero owns a california king bed. The many oft repeated phrases from book to book are getting stale. As always, bonus points for.epilogue and extended epilogue, but the ALLITERATION is driving me nuts! I'm going to back off from the series, may return, but i doubt it. I can't take 10 more books like this. My thoughts only. Feel free to read and form your own.
Wow one hot smoking alpha male who has claimed Jewel even if she doesn’t know it. Jake is very possessive and just one wrong or glance that’s too long he gets all growly. Jewel wants Jake but he has certain rules and she must abide by them but she is willing for Jake to guide her with his possessive nature this giant would never let anything happen to her he always protects his little Jewel.
Absolutely fantastic! A well written emotionally deep romance. The storyline is flawless, funny, witty, enjoyable, and very interesting. It was enjoyable because of the fantasy aspect of having one of your own D/s, DD/lg relationships. The story flows smoothly and moves along at a brisk pace with a few ups and downs and a mix of emotions on every page. The chemistry between them is intense and their love scenes are beautifully written and HOT!

Jewel sees Jake every day at the coffee shop she works at and even though he's older than her she feels drawn to him. Jake goes to the coffee shop every day just to see his precious Jewel, he needs to make her his but he doesn't know if she wants him like he wants her. This is a great Possessive Daddy story!
Okay, this sub-genre is very hit or miss with me. I was buying in the whole first half. But it went a little sideways around when they had their date. Some of the things she said were too juvenile (like elementary school age) and that brought me out of it. And having two sets of twins and one set of Irish twins in the epilogue was weird. Maybe it just isn’t meant for me.
Jewel can't believe the huge man who comes in every day for a regular coffee is interested in her. He could be the Daddy she reads about and wants, but is that what they both want? Jake is going to prove it to Jewel that she is his little girl now and always.
It just had to go to crap at 75%. I don’t mind the Daddy light stop. It got crazy when we get introduced to Saint Andrews cross and other crap like that. I’m just done at 75% DNF.
Jake & Jewel spice it up outside & inside the bedroom! Plus there is so much positive wording about body empowerment, family ties, healing and healthy love. A great read!!
I loved Jake & Jewel's book. Good characters. It was a fun, entertaining read. Loving this author. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
