The book had a nice, informative introduction which laid some of the groundwork of the movement. The editor made an attempt to distinguish between typewriter art and typewriter poetry, but it all seemed pretty arbitrary to me. However, this collection had more color than any of the typewriter poetry books I've read, so there is that.

Plenty of great pieces were included. One of my favs was "A festive marching song in the shape of 10 dixie cups" (Emmett Williams) because it was just so much fun. There were some people portraits that impressed. And I found "Nine meditations on a theme of Jiří Kolář" (Zdeněk Barborka)quite impressive because it really conveyed how much work goes into these typewriter pieces. Overall I found it to be a delightful collection.
