Hey Readers,
Thank you for choosing me today!
When the mundane around the dusky Brain gets stuck with the cobwebs of disappointments, the life becomes a full stop unless the doors are again unlocked, cleaned and begun with a comma. Fasten your seat belts and hold your breaths for a poetic journey and swing around the valley of emotions.
The book is a collection of poetries written over a period of 2 years. There are peaks of love and rage of betrayal, impulsive encouragements and hopeless societal dimensions and a lot of philosophical rhythms. Every verse in the poetry will bring in a new impression and expression. I appreciate that you are taking out time to read.
I hope you will like the book. I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences and looking forward to connect with you. Poetic world is like symphony of musical notes and together we are writing a song.

Monsoon
The chasm of hopes,
Scraping through the wattle of dreams,
That have been smashed
Between the weight of "being me"

Poems by Disha Malhotra

Sometimes it's so difficult to find words as to exactly what you felt while reading a book. This book left me in emotional crutches and I haven't yet been able to recover. It is collection of mixed poetry, few striking and hitting home while other light-hearted.

Few of my favorite ones were Monsoon, hope, her mahogany skin, wind and self-love.

She was fragile,
Fluttered with contusions
All over her corpse.
The hard blow almost disrupted her soul.
Nonetheless, she collected
Her broken chunks,
Craving for thin streaks of clouds
Trailing in the sky,
Pausing a moment to breathe,
Hoping for the sunlight
To penetrate from beneath. - Hope

Language is simple, lucid, easy to understand and adorned with rhythm. Most profound is the effect that is branded with its simplicity and it leaves its mark on the mind of a reader.

Highly recommended for poetry lovers.

From Fullstop to Comma is a collection of poems based on heartbreak, current situations, positivity, relationships and hope.

It has a collection of infinite emotions. Reading the poems helped me by lightening my heart. It is heartwarming and a thoughtful book. It gave me so many positive vibes, I felt like I can do whatever I want no matter what!

This book has a mixture of both deep and easy-going poems as it has poems based on almost every situation that we come through in our lives. I also loved the illustrations, they were very deep.

This book is best for those who have been feeling low in their life and are seeking for hope and positivity. And would recommend this book to everyone.

From Fullstop to Comma is a collection of poetries which range from love, rage, betrayal and a range of other emotions. The book is divided into several parts, making it easier for the reader to resonate with the emotions more distinctly. The best thing about this book is that it remains true to it's title and the charm remains reminiscential throughout, with all the wavering frequencies of emotions. It explores heartbreak and love in its different phases, it takes pleasure in finding some old tattered memories stuffed hastily in the store room to raising a firm voice against social evils, this book has it all. Usually in anthologies of its kind, we get to experience a single theme lingering throughout the book but it's interesting how diverse the poems of this anthology are. The poems have been written in the span of two years of the poet's life and I think this justifies why they do not have a single theme. Another interesting thing is that though these poems can be enjoyed by anyone, at any point of time but they retain a personal touch from the poet which is delicate and mesmerizing. The book becomes more enjoyable because of all the illustrations along with the poems.
One of my favourites from this collection is a poem called "Sati" which beautifully captures the haunting essence of the dreadful practice of Sati Pratha of ancient India. Even though most of the poems were absolutely exquisite and lucid, only a few of them turned out to be a little too complex and in the end didn't hit the right spot. But that's just a minor problem.
Last but not the least, the cover page of this book is absolutely adorable!

"From Fullstop To Comma" is a concoction of poetry with a myriad of emotions. From the title itself, this anthology has a way of catching our attention and stirring our heart with vibrant emotions just like the different colours of a fllame.

✨While full stop is termination , comma offers a transition. It is transition we seek, we see and we yearn for more than a termination. We believe death to be a transition, "life disguised " than a termination of life. Here the poet also through her powerful verses makes us aware that when we think our life comes to a full stop, we can restart it with a comma. As we move through the poetry we passes through a state of emotional turmoil and in the end we reaches emotional stability.

✨The poems are not only filled with subtle emotions of love, betrayal , unheard melodies, claws of death etc but also it voices the societal evils like Sati and other superstitious beliefs. Also Malhotra boldly questions the patriarchal norms not forgetting to articulate without inhibitions, the injustices and persecution women face in our society.

✨Besides the diverse themes, the beautiful and meaningful illustrations makes it more appealing. The writing style is sinuous and less rigid. I really loved many of the poems. Except for some poems which didn't strike a chord with me, all other poems were beautiful and a perfect tonic to my 'emotional ganache of sorrows and worries'.

✨I recommend this book to poetry lovers 'whose life has reached to a full stop of disappointment and wish to unlock and begin with a comma'. Do grab it at the earliest and get drunk in the 'valley of emotions '

“A collection of poetry which touches your mind and stays true to its title.”

#Insight- Everyday in our life we come across many emotions while doing our daily tasks. This is a collection of all those emotions in the form of poetry. Each poem is some emotion or feeling or thought that comes to our mind but we dismiss it as unimportant. But then again, it’s the little things in life that we should enjoy.

#Review- The collection is divided into many parts and the title of the part says what things the poems are about.
Each poem has a title that is perfectly accurate to the the meaning the poem sends, although indirectly.
And, most of the poems rhyme so good that reading them gives you a feeling of completeness.
Overall the poems are good, the titles are accurate and the rhyming scheme is, well, lovely.

#Strength- The titles accurate so you know what to expect, the rhyme is lovely and the emotions are all that you can relate to.

#Drawbacks- Some of the poems become a little too complex to understand, some others fail to reach expectations, but most of them are lovely.

#Target Readers- People who feel like their emotions are ramped up in their minds. This will actually make you feel good.

#Rating- 3.8
