From the author of 'Where the Butterflies Go' & 'Carry On Dancing' comes a brave new collection of poetry, prose and photography. 'Three Spaces' explores themes within our public space, our personal space, and cyberspace. "Heather Grace Stewart is one of my favorite poets, and her poetry collections only get better over time. Her latest, Three Spaces, is proof [...] Add it to your space. You won't be disappointed." Elisa Lorello, best-selling author of Faking It, Ordinary World, Why I Love Singlehood, Adulation "Heather Grace Stewart brings tenderness to the page addressing modern-day reality, gracefully and unconventionally, yet heart-felt." Michelle Casto, Author, The Destiny Discovery

Picture this: an eight-year-old freckle-faced blonde girl, perched in a rickety treehouse, surrounded by a fortress of Archie comics and armed with a bag of Jujubes. That's where the writing bug bit me, and let me tell you, it's been a wild ride ever since.
Fast forward to my drama class days, where I ran lines with none other than a young Matthew Perry—yes, Chandler Bing himself. Could I be any luckier?
But wait, there's more! I even auditioned for a musical alongside Alanis Morissette, the powerhouse behind "You Oughta Know." Spoiler alert: She got the gig. Apparently, the universe decided my destiny was more "pen to paper" than "jazz hands on stage."
That path led me to Queen’s University and Concordia for Journalism, 24 published books, reaching over 400K readers worldwide, and one novel (The Ticket) that was optioned for film—and is now available again, ready for its next big adventure on screen.
I’ve also survived cruel 1-star reviews (with only minor emotional scarring), raised a kind kid who likes me (most days), and lived with another human for 27 years without turning us into characters in 911: Montreal.
But let’s be real. What matters most here is what I can offer you. That’s simple: I’m here to be your literary escape hatch from the daily grind. When Netflix has betrayed you with its "Are you still watching?" judgment, and your phone is just one scroll away from being practically grafted to your fingers, that’s where my books come in.
My mission is to make you laugh so hard you snort, cry just enough to release that pent-up emotion from your awkward ex-partner encounter at the corner store, and love the story so much you can’t help but text your bestie at 2 AM saying, “OMG, you have to read this!”
Whether you're into my romcoms, time-travel romances, screenplays, or poetry that's "for people who don’t think they like poetry" (their words, not mine), welcome to my world of words.
Oh—and if you prefer listening to your love stories while folding laundry, dodging traffic, or pretending to work out, my books are also available in audiobook format from Tantor Audio, a division of Recorded Books.
Fun fact: I’m a tenth cousin of Emily Dickinson. So yes, the em dashes are ancestral flair—and the poetry obsession might be too.
You can find me on Instagram, Threads, or my Facebook Author Page, where I'm probably inline skating, dancing with oven mittens, or trying to convince one of my cats to do my marketing for me. Drop by and say hi! Just don’t ask me to audition for anything. Unless it’s for “woman juggling dinner, a manuscript, and a strawberry yogurt face mask”—I’ve got that one nailed.
Heather Grace. What can one say about her? I have followed her progress through four collections and noted her constant improvement as a writer of both prose and verse. In many ways, Heather's newest collection is a continuation and a constant improvement of her earlier collected words. We get Heather in depth as she extends herself as a writer. This is a collection of extremes. We get more of the Heather we've come to love in DANCES WITH MY DAUGHTER. The poet/mother/writer, the wearer of many hats shows us she knows when it's the bottom line, she knows where her values lie. But in contrast, Heather goes outside herself like I've not read in her earlier collections; she dons personas. . .and writes. Her work, NO IDEA became a favorite of mine on first reading; it satisfies a reader's taste for some grit and darknes. Between these two extremes, we Get more of Heather at her better (than she was before). But to not mention her careful selections of artwork for this collection would seem a crime. Definately one to view in color and full-screen. Carry on dancing, Heather, and we'll keep watching you dance.
I think the collection is enjoyable and inspiring to poets like me. Few poems do stand out more than others, and some just went right over my head, like the poem “It’s Fiction”. Some of the stories were interesting too, but I loved the poems more. I rate it 7/10.
I really enjoyed this. A very enjoyable and easy read. Wonderful for a weekend. It has essays, photos and poetry. Some of the poems really sparkled. My favorite was "Fifty Shades" -- very clever and entertaining.
Three Spaces is brilliantly divided into three categories: public, personal, and cyber. In each, the author explores her life, feelings, and philosophy toward modern existence. Her stories match the emotional intensity of her poems. Everyday Heroes is a personal favorite. The importance of mentoring, and friendship, between adults and children does not have to be a terrible, feared thing. The young and the old have much to gain from knowing one another. The pictures, though hard to see on a regular Kindle, are brilliant as well. Stewart puts her words to nature - flowers, fields and trees - at intervals. You are never quite sure what you'll see when you turn the page. Even the stories of her daughter, and her child-like-yet-inciteful observations are inspiring to a non-parent. I highly recommend this collection.
