Hello, it's lovely to meet you!

A bit about me - I began as a suspense/thriller writer (you can find me here on Goodreads under D.F. Hart, if you'd like to learn more about that body of work).

I wrote a supplemental character named Maddie in book Three of my suspense series, and I put her through quite a lot in that story. She resonated deeply with me, more than any other supplemental character I've written to date. And I felt she deserved a happy ending.

I have my MBA with Accounting concentration, and live in Texas with my fabulous husband and two fur-babies that aren't spoiled one single bit.

Talk about starting out with a bang, this book does … literally. Let’s just say, when the bad guys think the good guys are onto them, things get explosive. And when that good guy, or guess I should say good girl, knows nothing about anything but has to flee for her life, things get interesting.

And, our leading lady may be a college accounting major but that means she knows exactly how to add 2+2 and then multiply it to hit ALL the targets. Translation: This woman is tired of being a target and now is on offense. And those bad guys? They are gonna be the deer in the headlights. Tsk, tsk. They won’t know what hit them… well, bullets do sting but frozen in place staring at those headlights, they won’t be able to stop them.

Now that we have all that settled, this also is a love story. And if those bad guys hadn’t come into that good girl’s life, this love story never would have happened. The good girl and the good guy are perfect for each other … after all those wounds heal.

Ahhhh, do you believe in love at first sight? After reading this novella you just might because when all the stars align, it’s hard to deny.

... The problem with so many novellas is that things happen too fast.

... I wanted to see the love between Shannon and Pete develop, not rushed

... I NEEDED to see the 'crime' scene(s) and characters better developed, the before and after. I WANTED to feel like I was there watching rather than reading about it.

... What ever happened to the bad guys????? We need to know.

I really enjoyed reading Love Notes by Faith Hart because it was a murder mystery and romance story about Shannon and Pete. Shannon was unknowingly involved in something that almost cost her her life. Her and her roommate Leah were in danger and they needed to get away for a while. U.S. Marshall Pete Jenkins was trained to take care of them while an investigation was going on. Shannon and Pete were having feelings for each other but given the circumstances, they had to keep it on the download. I loved Shannon's character because once she was initially over the shock of what happened, she got mad. Pete was adorable in how he was feeling towards Shannon. This story was so good and it kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen. I highly recommend reading it. It was such a wonderful story with drama and mystery and some romance.

This is the first time for me reading something by this author so I didn't know what to expect. I have to say, wow, I was drawn into this story right from the first page and I couldn't stop reading!
Along with romance, there's so much action, intrigue, suspense, and drama, I was on the edge of my seat anxiously turning the pages wanting to find out what happened next. The plot was interesting and the storyline flowed smoothly. The unexpected twists kept me engaged the whole time. The characters were realistic and relatable and I enjoyed following their story. This was a great read, and I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.

I really enjoyed this book and the authors writing style. Shannon’s life is in danger and Pete is the Marshall assigned to protect her. He is instantly taken with her but tries to remain focused on the mission to keep her safe. I absolutely loved her best friend Leah. She was feisty and protective and would do anything for Shannon. I can’t wait to read the next book which gives us Leah and Larry’s side of this story.

This round of Anther Try romance stories focuses on roommates, Shannon and Leah, dropped in the middle of an FBI investigation. Their lives are turned upside down and they must allow 2 agents/friends, Pete and Larry, to help them survive their sudden perils. Knowing what they want sends these two somewhere they never thought they would be.

This book definitely was a short cute, sweet romance that was fun to read when I had a bit of time to relax, but spiced up with some suspense. Shannon and Pete do make a good couple and there was enough action and chemistry to keep you entertained throughout the book. The only thing that I think would have been nice would be for it to be a bit longer, but other than that, it was very enjoyable to read.

Shannon has had enough of being scared she is getting mad and wants to fight back. Pete is a Texas Ranger and is in charge of keeping Shannon safe. They both like each other but are trying to keep it on the down low because of the whole danger thing. I loved the characters. This book has action and mystery romance. This is a quick read because it was so hard to put down. Great story.

A story so well written it pulls you in from the very beginning. Characters that are so well developed they're easy to get to know and even easier to fall in love with. The story flows smoothly through the pages and you feel like you're in the story right next to the characters living life with them. Book four in the series brings Shannon and Pete's story. The author brings strong characters and weaves a short, sweet and action packed story. She paints her scenes in vivid detail and moves the story quickly and smoothly. It's well written and is an interesting romantic suspense.

This is a story about Shannon and Pete. Although the story was written in the third person point of view, which I am not the biggest fan of, I really liked the story. I liked Shannon and I felt bad for her. I will read more from this author in the future.

I liked this book. It could be considered a safe read. Shannon and Pete were just so right for each other. I must admit, when I finished my first thoughts were yeah her hearing came back. And Robert, it's always the quiet ones. Well written solid read.

This is book four in The Another Try Series and it is Shannon and Pete's story. Shannon is out on a date and when they go to Robert's car and realised that she had left her purse inside as she moves a little bit away from the car it explodes with Robert inside, she is then taken to hospital only to find that she has lost her hearing, burned her back and has various other injuries. Leah goes to the hospital to be with Shannon only to find out from Fuller that they are both in danger and need to go into protective custody until the person responsible is caught. Fuller only trusts Pete with looking after Shannon and Leah as they were in the army together and now Pete is a US Marshal and will be able to protect them well. When Pete and Shannon meet there chemistry is instant but Pete will not act on it while they are in his protection and he will guard them with his life as he thinks Shannon is beautiful and he is angry that someone put her in danger and she had sustained so many injuries but after that he will see what will happen and how Shannon feels about him and his job. I really loved this book with all its twists and turns and I couldn't put it down as I had to see what would happen next and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Faith Hart as she is a brilliant author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading.
