Maddox holds a grudge but that doesn't mean he can resist his ex, Addison. Their chemistry has always been on fire. The past has changed them both but one thing is still true... temptation is hard to resist.

Addison wants to help people. She is from a wealthy family and wants to help others in misfortunate circumstances. She's a lawyer and a friend to the community. Her father owns the town. He has more money than kindness. He never liked her childhood sweetheart, Addison just doesn't know how much.

Maddox is returning home to his family after serving his country. He wants to be with his family and settle back into the town he grew up in. Addison could have saved him all those years ago. He wants to stay away from her but she's the first to bail him out the second he hits town. Fate keeps these two close or maybe it's the fact Maddox can't resist.

This book is sexy but also has a great story. Something's never change and others just heat up even more.

This story has some mean bad guys, a hot romance and some home truths.

This is a quick, fast-moving read, my first by these authors. A sexy and intense second-chance-romance with a twist of mystery, and I really enjoyed it.

Maddox and Addison fell in love as teenagers. He came from the poorer side of town and had a bit of a rough rep, she lived a privileged life with her wealthy, controlling father. But they didn’t let their differences stand between them, falling hard, and they dreamed of having a future together. But their dreams were shattered when Maddox was sent away for a crime he didn’t commit.

12 years later and Maddox is back in town. He’s now a retired SEAL and is looking forward to enjoying a quieter life in his home town. Addison is a lawyer, having been inspired to help others after what Maddox went through. In all the time they have been apart they’ve never contacted each other, but from the moment they lay eyes on each other again it’s clear that their passion for each other still burns.

Holy hell this book is all kinds of sexy. Maddox and Addison are hot for each other, and they act on it at every available opportunity. The sex is steamy, frequent and descriptive, and shows the connection between them, even though they are both still harbouring a lot of hurt from the past. But all of that passion forms an opening for them to recapture everything they once lost, and we see their strong emotional connection as they throw themselves in to all that they are feeling for each other. It’s easy, natural, and gorgeously romantic as all of that intensity relaxes into a more playful (yet still seriously sexy) relationship that neither of them fight. And I love that!

But the mystery of what happened in Maddox’s past remains an issue, and there are people in town who are out to get him. So, when he is targeted and their future is in jeopardy once again, it raises all kinds of questions as they work to save their future and uncover the truth once and for all.

This was an enjoyable read. It was easy and engaging, and though it was mostly predictable, I liked watching it all unfold. The ending got a little bit cheesy, but I didn’t mind so much as I was fully invested in Maddox and Addison, and was happy to see them get their HEA. There’s a good selection of side characters, and I’m hoping that this book will become a series so that we get to revisit them again.

I enjoyed this one – 3.5 stars.

Take me in the Night is a steamy second chance novel and one that I could not put down. 12 years earlier Maddox and Addison had a plan, they were going to run away from their small-town life and start fresh making life their own. When Maddox is arrested for a crime he didn’t commit he had a choice to make and that choice was easy when he believed he was betrayed by the one person he thought would always be by his side. When Maddox returned home he isn’t the same person he was when he left he is harder, stronger and angry. Addison is a big part of the community, she is always helping everyone and still searching for any sign of the one that left with no word.

Their pasts have shaped them and even though they both have very different versions of the past they come together realising that they both have been wronged. The chemistry between Maddox and Addison is at a crazy level, they are magnets pulled together leaving me blushing and wondering what’s going to happen the next time these two are in a room together again. This story has it all 2nd chance romance, hate, love, lies and mystery.

This was my first Kenderson novel and I absolutely loved it, I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed the dual POV and the minor characters. I highly recommend this book as it left me wanting more as I read the last page, if you enjoy 2nd chances, steamy moments with a side of mystery then this is the book for you.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..I am so upset with myself regarding this book! Why you may ask? Well let me just tell you, I had this in my queue to read and I thought I had, really thought I had since my life has been up in chaos for a while, any who so I realized that nope I had not read and so that is the first thing that I did last night and oooooweee it was good, so that my friends is why I am upset with myself I could have enjoyed this book much sooner. It was goo, it kept me intrigued an going thru a roller coaster of emotions and that my friends is what I personally think that makes a good book. We have misunderstanding, lies and betrayal and a whole lot of hotness. So we meet Addison who was a rich girl who had a horrible father and she meet and loves a boy from what people consider the wrong side of the tracks and thinking they will spend their lives together was blown to smithereens, now both of them are hating each other but their story never really ended they have things that each needs to come to turns with and when they get together boom!!! explosion. I wont tell you more but suggest that you grab a copy and enjoy! because you will..

I usually read paranormal romances but I really did enjoy this book. I found myself invested in the characters and wanted to hurry up and find out what happens. This was the kind of book that I want the answers right away but the author kept bringing in new things to keep you wanting more than just the answer. I would recommend this book. Addison and Maddox are a young couple in love and due to misunderstandings are separated and meet years later under unexpected circumstances. Their chemistry throughout the book is undeniable. The plot of the story is intriguing and there are lots of twists and turns, but mainly you want Addison and Maddox to find each other and succeed in spite of everything that is against them. 💋

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. I really enjoyed Maddox and Addison’s story. To go 12 years thinking the love of your life betrayed you....heartbreaking. The one part that annoyed me is that they didn’t ask his family about each other. I would never have been able to still have a relationship with members of his family and never ask. I also don’t know if I’d sleep with him that fast but hey if Maddox snuck into my apartment while i was sleeping I’d probably let him have his way with me too! I will say though, this story definitely drew me in. I didn’t want to put the book down. I will definitely have to take a look at some of R.L. Kenderson’s other books!

Addison and Maddox were teen lovers. They lived in the stereotypical small town with small minded people. Addison was well off and Maddox was from the wrong side of the tracks. They were not supposed to be together. Misunderstandings, miscommunication and meddling from others caused a 12 years separation. They both blame the other for a betrayal that they still felt after 12 years. When Maddox return, the attraction is still there and they start up right where they left off. It takes a minute to trust again. But they find peace and are starting to be happy again. Not everyone is pleased with the rekindling of their relationship. Addison and Maddox overcome many obstacles to get their HEA. The story is fast pace with a hot navy seal with major alpha tendencies. We also have a smart, sassy and strong female lead.

Addison and Maddox were high school sweethearts. It didn't matter to Addison that he was from the wrong side of the tracks, she loved him regardless. But it did matter to people in her life, and because of those people when Maddox was arrested for a crime he didn't commit, Addison wasn't privy to what happened to him afterward. All she knew was that he up and left her with no explanation. She was so upset about thinking he was charged with a crime that he didn't commit, that she became a lawyer to help people like him. Now, years later, she's her hometown's only lawyer, and she's helping make the community a better place. And then Maddox comes home and the chemistry between the two hasn't waned, if anything, it's gotten hotter. But, he seems angry at her for some reason, when it's she who has the right to be mad at him. Right?

I liked Take Me in the Night. I didn't love it or anything, but I thought it was a hot second chance romance. I can't say that I connected with Maddox, he's fairly one-note, but Addison is an interesting character. The story line is pretty easy to figure out and the mystery is pretty predictable, but it's entertaining and as I said before, their chemistry is really hot, so 3.5 stars seems right.

Take Me In The Night was the first R. L. Kenderson book I have read and it won’t be my last. I absolutely love this erotic second chance romance which had a great balance between erotica and romance. The backbone of the story was simple, yet the sparks between the character and the hurdles that they had to go through to reveal the truth were intriguing.

Addison and Maddox were both strong characters. I loved the chemistry and passion that they shared. Their witty banter were adorable. At first, their reunion was intense and filled with resentment as they both harboured a lot of hurt from the past. However, as they stopped fighting their feelings, their relationship became easy and natural which was absolute sweet and delightful. I loved that the plot was easy and simple with just enough suspense and angst to make it interesting. The sexy time were abundant and descriptive - definitely kindle-melting HOT!!

I absolutely enjoyed this steamy and intriguing second-chance romance and would highly recommend it.

Take Me in the Night by R and L Kenderson is a full length, standalone. Meet Maddox and Addison. Maddox is from the wrong side of the tracks, grew up in poverty and was away for the last 12 years.
Addison grew up in wealth with a cunning and cold father, but was deeply in love with Maddox. The end of their relationship was very suddenly and they have unfinished business. Both are angry at each other.
And now he´s back. Maddox is a retired Navy SEAL, about to start fresh at his brothers business. Addison became a dedicated lawyer, she fights for the people without money and grit.
Both meet and it´s an epic clash. There´s a lot of bodily action and very little speech involved. Means they´re like bunnies. He tries to take his anger at her out in this way, as if that ever would work.
Take Me in the Night is a beautiful story about two strong people, both are alphas. I was hooked from the start and read the book in one sitting, I had to know what happens next. I loved reading how they bicker, banter and fight. I loved reading how the grew and matured. All in all, Take Me in the Night is a beautiful second chances story and I give 4,5 stars.

WOW! I couldn't put this book down once I started. It was intense right from the beginning and not my typical go-to for erotic romance but damn if all R.L. Kenderson's books are like this, sign me up and take my money. Maddox and Addison are High School Sweethearts that are pulled apart by false accusations, and twelve years later they are reunited when Maddox returns to help his family care for their mother. Maddox Wolfe is sexy as fuck, total alpha male, and THE MAN OF MY DREAMS! I would have liked to know more about Maddox's life in those missing twelve years, but otherwise, I loved reading his story and the chemistry between him and Addison was off the charts. I'll admit I didn't have very high hopes for Addison in the beginning, but damn!! She is feisty, strong, funny, independent, and AWESOME! The sex is great but the story makes it better.

I have a tiny request to the authors:::::> PLEASE WRITE A STORY ABOUT FLASH AND OLIVIA! She needs the orgasms, and I want to know if he lives up to the nickname. :P

Take me in the Night is a second chance romance that had me at the very beginning. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. The steamy parts are just hot as hell and you can always feel the love between the two characters.
Addison and Maddox are just 2 teenagers madly in love who can't wait to run off together but everything changes in the blink of an eye when Maddox is sent away for 12 years.
12 years later they run into each other again and almost instantly you can tell the passion is still there but both are still hurt because neither know the full truth of what happened 12 years earlier.
Throughout the story you can tell that they are falling back in love with one another but Addison's father is not gonna have it and he goes to extremes to keep Maddox away.
This story is beautifully told and there is a happy ending. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves romance stories mixed with some hot steamy parts.

What a ride this book was! Addison (Addy) and Maddox where high school sweethearts from the different sides of the track. One fateful night takes Maddox away from her and it's like he disappears from the face of the earth. Maddox comes back to his hometown to see that Addison is still there. What happens next is steamy, hot ride. The scene where Maddox is in her bedroom in the dark is a re-read scene. I really enjoyed Maddox's friends from the Navy and so glad Foster finally comes clean. And the scene where Maddox is "jealous" and marks her as "Mine" (whew)…. I think my kindle was on fire. There are awesome characters and story telling in this book and I could not put it down. I still want to ring her father's neck and so glad the Sheriff gets his due too!!!

You know you read a good book when you are sad it has ended and wish there was more. Definitely would recommend this book for anyone who loves some intrigue, steamy storylines and romance.

I feel like all the erotic romances I have read lately have been heavy on the erotica and really skimping on the romance but I am happy to report that Take Me in the Night delivers on both! There are sexy scenes that I thought were going to melt my kindle but there is also a really nice second chance romance story here.

I admit that between the title of the book and the first time Addison and Maddox reconnect I was afraid we were heading into a darker direction that I wasn't sure I was ready for this story to go. I was glad that it actually turned into a sweet romance. In fact the HEA felt so bubble gum sweet that I almost forgot this was an erotic romance book!

This was the first R. L. Kenderson book I have read but I look forward to reading more from them in the future. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a contemporary romance and not for the faint hearted when it comes to erotic and mind blowing moments. I loved the story and the chemistry between the characters. They were in love when they were teenagers and years later, as adults, they cannot ignore the remnants of those feelings which are still so strong. Incidentally there lives are still entertwined in some ways due to Maddox's family who stayed in town and became part of Addison's life. I would've liked that they were more honest about their true feelings and maybe played it off against the physical side but in the end it didn't really matter because however they tried their true feelings kept showing through. I love this writer's books and cannot wait for the next one.

OMG!! Take Me In The Night has everything I look for in a book. The chemistry between Addison and Maddox is off the freaking charts. It’s sexy and erotic, steamy and hot, but their romance - their love story - is beautiful and give you all the feels.

I was wrapped up in their story from the start. Everything flows flawlessly, and the writing is spectacular. And, HOLY MOTHER OF BATMAN, Maddox, when is being all alpha….so freaking HOT!!! I was rooting for them from the very beginning and when Olivia made a comment about a past alibi I was screaming YES and doing a happy dance, then crying, then fanning my face!

There is so much I want to say, but I refuse to give away any part of the story. All I can say is this is a MUST read. R.L. Kenderson has blown me away and reminded me again why I love reading their books.

If you love Contemporary Erotic Romance, Passion and everything that comes with it, this book is definitely for you.
The way this book was written with both the characters being so strong hearted, stubborn and the ever growing love for one another even if it has been like forever that they have been apart you are sure as hell to get caught up in their story.

I loved the flow of the book and the way it pulls you further in that you loose track of time and everything around you looses meaning except for what you are reading!!

I really didn't think this writing duo could get any better. But I stand corrected. This book is nothing short of magnificent. It is sexy yet compelling, the words just flow seamlessly and the storyline had me invested from the very first chapter.
This is a second chance at love story for Maddox and Addison. They haven't seen each other for twelve years, but it is like the years just slip away once they see each other again. They try to stay away from the other, but something just pulls them together.
There are some characters in this book that I really do hope end up with their own story in the future.

I loved the Forbidden and Nasty series, so I had no doubt that I would love this new book and it didn't disappoint me!!

Maddox is everything you can expect from a former SEAL and I just loved Addison. I specially like that she confronts her father when she has to do it, not like in other books when in similar circunstances the characters always shut up and let their family members do and say as they want just because they are family. It infuriates me!

PS. I really, really, really want a book about Flash, please!

This book has it all, mystery, erotic-passionate romance, secrets, twists and turns; great cast of characters that make you feel passionate about them. I LOVE MADDOX!!

I could not put this down!!

A second chance at young love that was ripped apart by controversy, false accusations, and criminal charges.

This book sizzles! If you don't like a book with a lot of sex scenes, this might not be the book for you. Maddox & Addison have a very very passionate relationship. None of the scenes are there just to be there, it flows with the story and makes sense. But it is soooo hawwwt! Soooo steamy!!! And on top of that it's got all the right feels that will make your heart soar.
It was so awesome! Another hit from this excellent writing team!!

In spite of all the misunderstandings past and present, Addison and Maddox seemed committed to each other and supportive and I liked seeing that connection. Addison's dad was an evil manipulative D bag that seemed intent on having his way like a child. Not a fan of him or Simon. It was good to see Foster finally man up to his mistakes. Way too late, but at least he did it. Dani's character (waitress) was a bit too thirsty and cheap. She constantly went for Addison's left overs- nasty! Nice ending.

Maddox and Addison were torn apart by a lie. Twelve years later, he comes home, never expecting her to still be there. It's fireworks at first glance even though he promised himself he'd stay away from her. Great reading to get to the HEA.

Second book I have read by the author. Just might become a new favorite of mine.
