I didn’t know I’d risk everything to be with him.

I thought he was the assistant football coach.
I thought I would protect my teaching career from anything.
I thought I could stay away from him.

I thought wrong.

Wicked Chemistry deals with a student-teacher relationship. All individuals are over eighteen and consenting adults.

Wicked Chemistry (Passing Grade) is the all-new standalone story from R.L. Kenderson. It’s a forbidden romance between a teacher and her 18-year-old student. It’s heated, it’s sexy and it’s all kinds of wrong that feel so right.

Eden has moved across the country to be with her college friend, Becca. It’s her first teaching job and she’s excited to meet the facility team. She loves her job and wants it to work out.

Texas is big on football and Eden finds herself at a match to keep up appearances. I mean because everyone loves football and nobody would want to miss a game. The assistant coach catches her attention. He’s the kind of guy wet dreams are made from and Eden can’t help but give him her best seductive looks. Eden doesn’t think she stands a chance with this fine specimen, but that doesn’t mean she can’t do a little harmless flirting.

Mace Wagner is the all America boy. He plays football, he’s the towns golden boy, he’s smart and he’s a really nice guy. It’s understandable why every girl in school has a crush on him.

When Eden finds out who Mace is she tries to keep her distance. In high school, her version of Mace wasn’t all he seemed to be. Eden feels she’s not the sort of girl for him even if she was 18 again. Eden is surprised at every moment with Mace. He really is just that good, even if he has a crush on his teacher. He’s a flirt and she tries to resist but somethings are too tempting.

From reading the synopsis for Wicked Chemistry this wasn’t what I was expecting. It was better. I’m a huge fan of these two authors and I enjoy everything they come up with.

I liked the story. I really did. Teacher/student trope where the hero is 18 and the heroine 25, but done quite well when it comes to the storyline, it felt believable, with a dominant hero as the main pursuer of the relationship. It wasn't solely the taboo that was the subject of the story, there was also a lot of spotlight on the body image and self acceptance, he was a gorgeous smart jock, she was his science teacher and in her own words she was average looking... it's a pity we've got only her POV (in regards her own image of herself, but also in general).

What was lacking in my opinion was any deep intimacy between them. They fell in mutual lust instantly, then they fell in bed together and instead of actual romance development we see sex they have. There were no deep discussions (in fact, she deliberately avoided any), no deep feelings we could see. I saw some affinity and his possessiveness, but it was all surface level.

Also the writing - the authors use often simple and I'd say bare sentences, which felt flat and... distant, sometimes. It was as if I were reading a travelogue. I'm really not sure, if it was a me-thing, I didn't see any reviews saying something similar... The flow was good though and once I was in the part of the story where they are together, I couldn't put it down.

Overall an okay taboo romance with both very relatable main characters.

This book was really good. It's not at all like the title suggests. The teacher didn't take advantage of the unwitting student, and the student wasn't seduced into action. She doesn't bribe him with grades. Passing Grade was a glimpse into the mind of a teacher who falls for her student. I wasn't sure what to expect when I read this book, but I enjoyed it. 5 stars and two thumbs up!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I loved it!! It was hot and steamy and I love the storyline! Eden and Mace go through so much and I just love how they get along. I loved mace's character and his attitude about everything. Eden reminded me a lot of myself. Definitely a favorite!

Whoa... this was one heck of a dirty, sexy, and forbidden student-teacher romance. Eden is a twenty-five-year-old high school science teacher. She meets Mace at a football game and assumes that he’s an assistant football coach. Then Eden discovers that Mace isn’t her colleague, but her student. She fights her feelings, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and things get complicated.

I’m so used to reading the opposite type of story (older male teacher with a female/male younger student), so this was a little different for me. This fast and sexy read was good. Then it hit me. I have a son who is almost 18 and I would throat punch his teacher if she entered into this type of relationship with him (even if he initiated the whole thing). Come to think of it, I would be horrified by his poor judgment as well! Lucky this was only a book and not real life. I’m over it and enjoyed how this story played out.

I'll admit: I like a bit of taboo here and there. And ever since I read K. Webster's Schooled by a Senior, student/teacher (as long as all parties are consenting and of legal age) has been a go to of mine. So even though I had never heard of R.L. Kenderson, I was totally on board to review Passing Grade when I read the blurb - and I'm glad I did. It's a quick and sexy and (low-key) sweet ditty, that touched on a lot more than I expected. Our heroine, Eden, had a (non-trigger warning necessary) traumatizing experience when she was in high school that added to her pre-existing struggles with body image and self acceptance. Mace/Mason is an intelligent jock with a preference for junk in the trunk (and mature women). I call that a match made in heaven. The issues that they faced were realistic, particularly her reticence in regards to the whole thing. The book is told in first person POV from her standpoint and I think I would have enjoyed it even more if we had gotten a glimpse into his mind. I really did like the flow and pacing of the book, so I'll definitely be looking out for more chances to read more from this new-to-me author duo. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

Mace is 18, Eden is 25. In school she's the science teacher and he's one of her students. He's Adonis
reborn, she's average looking woman. A love affair between them should not have been possible. It's forbidden even! But the desire that sparked between them at first site would not be denied and in a moment of weakness she gives into temptation. What starts like a lust induced affair turns into romance full of hot sex scenes.

What I loved about this book(witch I got as a free copy) is the natural flow of the story, the wicked, steamy sex scenes and the epilogue. It's a real page turner, easy to immerse in. It left me with a warm and happy feeling after hours of lust!

A taboo read that you really can’t help but fall in love with. This should be wrong, but there is no feeling of pedophilia or anything perverse. It’s two consenting adults who have an undeniable attraction. This is not a teacher taking advantage of her position with a student. This is simply hot, magnetic chemistry. Mace is of age, he is mature, and of sound mind. Eden tried to avoid it, tries to keep things on the up-and-up, then in a moment of weakness, the walls come down and she gives into her desires. What happens next is steamy, sensual, and oh so hot! What starts out as lust, soon turns into something so much more.

Don’t shy away from this one because of the troupe, this is worth the read!

I can't say enough good things about this book! Student/teacher is one of my favorite tropes, and this book was amazing. Eden and Mace were the perfect mix of sweet and steamy, and I loved every second of it.

Passing Grade was a good read. Eden always wanted to be a teacher. With the help of her friends she finally is a high school teacher. When she first see Mace she thinks he's an assistant coach but it turns out he's a student. She twenty five and Mace is eighteen. Even though Mace is younger than Eden, at some points Mace acted more mature then Eden. Mace is sexy and confident. He's her student but there wasn't any creepiness and the story flowed perfectly.

I normally do not read books about this subject, I personally have never enjoyed the cougar situations and when I received this I wasn't planning on reading it, however this is R.L. Kenderson we are talking about here so I gave it a go. The writing was as enjoyable as is normally with R.L. books, and while this is not my cup of tea as I mentioned in outset I didn't hate it and I read til the end.

Eden has had her world tilted on its axis, and she is beyond frustrated. When she and Mace give in to their mutual attraction, it sets of some major fireworks! He may be younger than her, but he is all man! I loved the steady development of this book, especially the way Eden's character was so easy to relate to. This was simply an older woman, younger man romance with a teacher/student twist, and Mace may have been just a hot male at the beginning of his prime, but he was way more experienced than Eden, and he showed his maturity in a wonderful way. A delightfully sexy read with a great cast of characters, and I could totally relate to this story.

Passing Grade is all kinds of forbidden and taboo featuring a teacher/student and older female/younger male relationship. The writing was exceptional and the storyline was enticing. Mace was an 18 year old student going on to twenty eight and Eden was a 25 year old teacher who landed her first “real” teaching job in a new city across the country. Their relationship was tasteful – just two adults who couldn’t help but falling in love despite their positions.

Eden was attracted to Mace when they first met, but she resisted the pull once she discovered that he was her student. Their chemistry and desire between them were palpable right at get-go. You would have thought Eden, being the older one with authority, was the predator but she really was the prey. Mace was old and experienced for his age and was persistent in pursuing Eden. In a moment of weakness, she gave into the temptation and all the sparks ran off like fireworks.

I totally understand why Eden made the decision at the final twist. However, I think she should had given Mace a chance and handled the situation together. I am blissfully happy everything worked out at the end and I couldn’t ask for a better epilogue.

I absolutely enjoy this fun, steamy and delicious story. I understand that this taboo and forbidden romance will not be for everyone but I urge the people who are still on the fence to give it a chance. It’s well worth it!

I received an advance reviewer copy of the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I love a forbidden romance and teacher/student ones are my absolute favorite. Passing Grade is just that, now before people start wondering the characters are of legal age. This one was hot, angsty, and one that I didn’t want to put down at all while reading it.

Mace and Eden have chemistry from the very first moment that they lock eyes. Now I wish when I was in high school back in the day I was in school with someone like Mace cause even though he is only 18, he puts grown men to shame with the level of his sexiness. Eden is the good girl, well until she isn’t and breaks the rules by beginning a relationship with Mace. Now there were some misunderstandings between them and part of that is due to Eden’s history so I could understand why she thought the way she did. When the truth comes out about their relationship to certain people their reactions were understandable but also caused Eden pain. Will Mace and Eden’s relationship last, will they get their happily ever after or will the consequences of their actions change their lives forever? Well you have to read it to find out duh!

This is the first book I have read by R.L. Kenderson but it will not be my last for sure. If you love teacher/student romances as much as this book whore, then Passing Grade is for you!

✅Student teacher romance
✅Forbidden

Eden is the kind of heroine you immediately root for — smart, driven, and trying her absolute best to live a normal life… despite the universe tossing temptation at her in the form of:
Mace.
Tall. Dangerous. Charming. A walking “do not touch” sign that Eden absolutely touches anyway. 😏🔥

Their dynamic? Peak chaotic perfection.
• Eden tries to stay out of trouble 😇
• Mace is trouble 😈
• Together: trouble squared and we LOVE it 💥❤️

Every scene with them feels like watching two chemicals labeled “DO NOT MIX” slowly sliding toward each other on a vibrating lab table. You know it’s going to cause an explosion, you know someone should stop it, and yet… you’re sitting there with popcorn waiting for the boom. 🍿💥🔥

Their banter?
Flirty. Sharp. Addictive.
Eden gives attitude, Mace gives smirks, and readers everywhere give in. 😩💘

Their chemistry?
Off the charts. Actually, off the safety chart. Like “the lab is on fire and we’re all fine with it” levels of heat. 🧪🔥🔥

Their story?
A perfect mix of sweet vulnerability, high-stakes tension, and “someone is definitely going to kiss or kill someone in the next two pages” energy. And honestly? That’s the best kind of romance. 😌💋

If you’re reading for the plot, you’ll enjoy it.
If you’re reading for Mace and Eden…
Congratulations, you’re about to be fully obsessed. 😍📚🔥

I absolutely adored this book; once I started, I couldn’t stop reading through the night to finish. The taboo subject of teacher and student always catches my eye, what makes it even better is that Kenderson made Mason 18, age of consent and he was old enough to know what he wanted, and that was Eden.

Being a teacher in a new school is always hard, but what makes it harder is hot crazy gorgeous the assistant coach is, or that’s who she thought she was eyeing. When reality hit that Mr Wagner was indeed one of her students, she was left upset knowing there was no chance of anything happening, until there was. Starting a secret forbidden relationship was not ideal but you can’t fight fate. As the school year came to an end Eden sacrificed her love keeping a secret that would change their lives forever. Is their love strong enough to survive college or a scandal?

Mace was confident, sexy and mature for his age; he wasn’t letting anything get in his way when it came to finding his forever. His unwavering love for Eden made him jump to the top of my book boyfriend list. Eden was shy, she had bad experiences in the past that have held her back; When she met Mace all of that changed, she grew into a confident woman who could take on the world and giving herself priority.

These two were on fire the entire book, their sexual chemistry set the book on fire leaving me fanning myself and wondering how to get myself my own Mace.

I personally loved this book and I highly recommend that you read it, this was my first read from Kenderson and if her other books are as well written then I will be reading everything she has published.

This book is deliciously taboo and I loved every minute of it! I felt like I needed detention after reading parts of it, Mace and Eden are dirty!!! In the hottest way, of course ;) Eden is such a likable character. She's every girl that admired the star quarterback from afar because she thought she was too average for him, yet doesn't realize she's perfect for him. And she's far from average. Mace is everything a hot young popular guy should be. There were times he seemed wise beyond his years, but that boyish playfulness was never too far away. He was a guy that once he had his heart set on Eden, he wasn't going to let her get away so easy. Even if she was his teacher.

I shouldn't have liked this book as much as I did, but I just couldn't help myself. I love a book that pushes my limits and makes me ship a couple that I would normally be like, omg absolutely not! It's dangerously sexy, and you will find yourself cheering this unconventional couple on. I also liked that it was the female teacher with a male student. So many times it's the opposite and this was refreshing. It made Eden's self doubt and decisions toward the end so much easier to understand.

While this was my first book by this duo, it certainly won't be the last. Well done on making me question my morality!

Passing grade was my first R.L. Kenderson book, but it won't be my last. This story sucked me in from page one, curious to see how things would play out and anxious for the characters and their story. This book is a forbidden romance, a teacher and her student, and I have to say it plays up to the trope very well with it's own unique spin.

Mace and Eden sucked me in from the start, Eden with her confused feelings over an attraction to who she discovers is a student and Mace with his determination to win over Eden. I really enjoyed how the story really displayed Eden's mixed feelings very well, from page one - I felt like I understood her. I also really enjoyed how Eden compared things to her own high school days - when in reality the situation was completely different.

I have to admit that Mace really intrigued me, from the moment I met him on the page, I wanted to know more. I felt enticed by him and really enjoyed getting deeper into his head and heart.

Passing Grade kept me on my toes in many ways, grabbed and held my attention and left me wholly satisfied.

I really enjoyed Passing Grade it would be the first story that I've read by R.L. Kenderson and I'm excited to see more by the author . Along with this being a good read it did frustrate me a bit at times with how the heroine was but it was semi understandable with how she reacted to certain things . I wish we got more of the relationship aspect outside of the bedroom / anywhere these two could get it on they were either having sex or fighting about if they should or shouldn't be together . While reading this I was intrigued about the best friends growing relationship with the heroes cousin . Overall great story with interesting characters just wish there was alittle more romance don't get me wrong the sex scenes were HOT I just wanted to see the main characters as a couple instead of when they do do coupley things it was kinda glazed over .

A taboo and terrific read. I loved this story, a teaser for it drew me in and I bought it and couldn't put it down. Mason and Eden where gripping and their relationship kept me on my toes wondering if someone would find out and swooning at their passion and love. Becca and Eden where such good friends and their constant support of each other even if the situation made their life difficult showed how strong of a bond they had. Becca and Connor where so cute and their friendship with Eden was precious, i loved the scenes with all four of them out together, they where hilarious and the constant secret keeping was gripping throughout. A fabulous story with lovable characters and an enticing and heartwarming story line.

Wowzers!!
So hot...but shouldn't be... Eden's the teacher, Mace is the student - an over 18 high school senior that looks like he's 25. That is exactly what new teacher Eden thought when she first saw him at a football game. But the second time she saw him he was in her classroom as her student!

This is so hawwwt. My emotions were so back and forth throughout the whole book! It was so steamy, fun, secretive, dangerous and exciting. Then I would remember he was a student and I'd get kinda creeped out. But then turn around and be totally smitten again.
I really loved this book!!! My heart is still fluttering!

Although this book may not be for all readers out there I mostly enjoyed it. It was well written like all other books by these authors - they have amazing talent for drawing you in with their writing. The theme made me a bit uneasy and at times I felt that Mace is too experienced for his age but that coming from a mother of an 18- and 20-year old so I don't want to think of my kids having those kinds of experience yet... All in all - it was tastefully done and worth the read. I've received an Advanced Reader's copy from the author and is leaving a voluntary review.

Passing Grade by R.L. Kenderson is a standalone forbidden student-teacher romance.
Eden is new at her first job as highschool teacher. She's a good girl, walks the narrow path, till Mace Wagner.
Mace is a 18 year old senior at highschool, the sports star at school and mature beyond his years. It takes exactly one look and he knows he has met his one.
I recommend to go in this book blind and ignore the age of the hero. He's not a minor and that's all that counts. I'm pretty torn about this book.

The writing is great and the story is fantastic, my problem lies with the alpha-ism of a 18 year old hero and the weakness of the heroine- a teacher who's responsible for the students in the class she teaches. Don't get me wrong, both are consenting adults, but when I think it would be a male teacher and female student, what then?

I'm not really a fan of teacher/student stories but I wanted to give this one a try because I love the writers, and it didn't disappoint me!

Eden is just starting her teaching career in a new school when she meets Mace, who she thinks is a colleague. So she gets a really big surprise the first day of class when she discovers that Mace is one of her new students!

I think the relation between both of them goes quite smoothly, the writers don't rush it which I appreciate because I don't think it would have been believable, and it has it's ups and downs like a relation in this circumstances would have.

Can't wait for more books of R.L. Kenderson!

Whew, this is a hot one! A terrific teacher/student romance with lots of heat and interesting characters. A young teacher, a mature football hero and a charged first encounter that sets Ms. F and Mace on a sexy journey to love. But can they last? Ms. F/Eden thinks not and tries to push him away. Mace on the other hand knows what he wants and goes for it. He's a dirty talking sexy beast who knows his own mind and heart. He did seem at little too mature at times for his age but as the story progressed I like him more and more. Eden was up and down for me especially at the beginning. I just wanted her to get over the negative self image issues. Mace helped with that as he took over and pulled Eden into a steamy relationship that melted my panties! Loved the ending and the epilogue. Swoon! This is a well written, easy read with sweet emotion, some humor and loads of steam. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars

This was a story about a teacher-student relationship. Eden was a new teacher and Mace was her 18-year-old student who looked 25. When she first met him she thought he was the assistant football coach. This was really a beautiful love story between two consenting adults but could be considered taboo. Well written with strong characters and a steamy storyline. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I was disappointed in Eden's bf Becca. She found her own happiness and begrudged Eden hers. Becca was more concerned about her and Connor's jobs than her friend's dilemma. In the end she didn't really turn out to be a best friend imo. Best friends are ride or die, and that wasn't Becca. I was completely and totally impressed with Mace's level of maturity and commitment. I loved how he pursued Eden throughout the story. What a great guy.

I am not usually a fan of teacher/student romances, but there is such depth to the characters that showed their strengths and flaws. Eden is an intelligent, beautiful woman that harbors insecurities about her weight. Eden just accepted a new job as a professor at a school. Eden is blown away when a handsome man on the bench notices her during her first school football game. On her first day teaching, Eden notices Mace and discovers he is the man from the football game and happens to be her student. Mace, who makes it very clear to Eden that he is 18, actively persues Eden and makes her feel sexy.
My overall impression was that I would have given 4.5 stars if I could because I did not like that Eden's best friend did not support her when she needed her the most and was very selfish. I also thought it would have added a bit more credibility to Eden and Mace's relationship if there was some non-sexy time too (although I know they were trying to be secretive and all). It was definitely a steamy read and not your typical "hot for teacher" story.
