It's Christmas Time in Glen Point, and someone needs a Christmas miracle!!
For 'Midnight' Smith, there is no such thing as gallant knights or family time under the Christmas tree.
For her, trust is a hard-given item. But "Hunt," her cyber buddy, has earned it in spades with his actions without even meeting him. Midnight needs a Knight to help her resolve the nightmarish reality of her life when she made a wrong move.
Can "Hunt" help her again, this time it's a big favour, one that means life or death for her.
Hunter "Hunt" Jones is on leave from his role as an elite SAS Solider due to injury, and for once, he's at a loose end. Memories of what could have been had been haunting him more than usual. Thankful, he has the mysterious "Zero" as he knows her online, to keep him from going off the rails.
Can Hunter show Midnight that Knight's do exist even when their armour is hidden?
Midnight is running. She lives under the radar and moves around when needed. She has been running for seven years. It's the only life she knows anymore. She has settled in Glen Point and has a job working at a local café. Hunter is an SAS soldier on medical leave due to a shoulder injury. He is staying at a friends house in Glen Point. Midnight and Hunter meet at the café when she spills a glass of water on Hunter. The attraction is instant. Hunter is a widower and keeps his heart closed off and due to Midnight's being on the run since she was seventeen, she is not one to have close relationships. However, the two go on a date and cannot ignore the chemistry between them. Midnight is running from a dark past. Can Hunter open his heart and keep her safe?
This is the fourth book in the Glen Point series and does not disappoint. Midnight is smart, resourceful, self sufficient, and strong. For all of her adult life she has not had anyone to take care of her. Hunter is a protector by nature and by choice. He works through his self doubt and guilt about having a relationship again. This is a sweet steamy story with plenty of intrigue and action.

Like most readers, I strongly dislike when a book starts with prodigious information dumps. This book had at least two, when each of the viewpoint characters had their first chapter. I think that authors should weave in backstory and current situations into the rest of the story—and preferably start with some action that drops us right into the story—rather than just dump everything at the start. However, these info dumps didn't really add much clarity to what was going on with the hero and heroine; in fact, it more confused than enlightened. It's like the author understood her characters, so she didn't realize the holes in the dump that her mind skipped over and that she was actually muddying the waters. I thought the book's description was a little fuzzy and had hoped that the first pages would clarify things, but they did not. As I kept reading, things became less opaque somewhat, but with such a poor start, I didn't feel like I could truly enjoy this book. I think the author needs a little more writing practice!
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I liked the romance between Midnight and Hunter. They both have their own baggage from their pasts but find a way to connect online. The connection between them shines thru even if they have not met yet. Midnight turns to Hunt when she needs help and he does not plan to fail her. They both find a way to heal each other. I thought the storyline was well done, it pulls you in. The characters were great together and find a happy future once they get past the issues.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s about an heiress on the run and the military man who wants to help her. They’ve known each other through an online forum for awhile but when they finally meet in person the chemistry between them heats up. Hunt wants to help Midnight get her life back and steam up the sheets while doing it. I took off one star because of grammar and spelling issues towards the end of the book. I read a review copy so it’s possible these have been fixed but it wasn’t mentioned on my copy that editing was still being done.

I enjoyed Hunt & Midnight's book. It was a fun, entertaining read. And a new author for me. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, ups, downs, drama, intrigue, and suspense the good kind that makes you turn the page until there are no more to turn. Midnight is a hacker on the run from her stepfather who wants her dead because that is the only way he can steal her fortune. Midnight and Hunter know each other via online chatting only and when they meet up to get to know each other she doesn’t let him know why or who se really is or even that she is on the run. Only after being nearly ran over and him being a SAS Soldier recognize the signs that something is wrong and once, he find out of course he protects her against whom ever is out to get her. Will he protect her, will they get to know each other enough to find happiness.
I really liked Hunter and Midnight, they are great together and they find out just how good after they meet in person besides being just online buddies for a long time. I enjoyed this story very much.
