Temptations, Inc.

Rate this book
LGBT Vampire Paranormal Romantic Suspense

It's nothing like Tinseltown. It's a whole lot sexier -- and a whole lot more dangerous.

Temptations, Incorporated is all about making the films that sizzle and scorch the screen. When they offer Ryan work, he's excited at the chance to make some money and get into show business.

À Vincente swept onto the adult-film scene and took it by storm. He's more than tall, dark and handsome. He's the kind of man who everyone wants a piece of -- and he knows it. After starring in several films, he's popular enough to pick and choose what he works on next.

And he wants Ryan.

Ryan's thrilled with the chance to work on some projects with À Vincente. He isn't prepared for what he finds out while filming a sex scene, though. Sharp fangs and cold, cold skin.

And as if an undead co-star determined to have him and turn him isn't enough, a patron of the arts seems to have it in for both of them.

Publisher's This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find Male/male sexual practices, exhibitionism, violence.

Needing some extra cash to help him through his internship Ryan goes to work at a porn studio making gay films. There he meets A Vincente, an old vampire. Somehow Ryan is able to see theough the facade and knows A Vincente is a vampire.
When A Vincente is kidnapped it falls to Ryan to save him.

I enjoyed this book. I really like vamps. I was glas to see Ryan get his HEA with A Vincente.
A quick read with lots of smoking MM sex.

This is a book which starts in a funny way and during the path turns into something more deeply and somewhat scary. It's like Willa Okati has changed her mind in writing it.

Ryan is a medicine student who has not enough money to pay his study. And so his friends Teddy, in the same situation, has an idea: accept an offer to play in hard core movie. Ryan has the body, he is a very handsome hightop bottom (a bottom with the body of a top), but he is also very unexperienced. He can count on the fingers of one hand how mny lovers he has had. And so, when the first day he meets A Vincente, the big star of Temptations, Inc. it's like a dream comes true: A Vincente is the actor he has seen in a porno which has feed his fantasies so many time, to have the chance to make love with him, even if in front of a camera, is like a dream. But when he finally has the opportunity to film with him, he discovers that A Vincente is not like any other man in many way...

I don't want to give up the story, but I can assure you that in the middle of it you will have a really twist. This is not, as you can imagine reading the first page, a mere story of pretty boy fucking in front of a camera.

Even if A Vincente should be the star of the book, I really find Ryan has stolen him the role. Ryan is naive but also strong, when he sees A Vincente he unconsciously hs just decided that man will be his. No matter what it will cost. No matter if A Vincente wants it. The alpha between the sheets could be A Vincente, but who has drawn him between that sheets, and lured him to stay here is Ryan.

The story is a right lenght to give you plenty to read but at the same time to be also a one session reading. I was not able to close it till the end, above all cause I have had trouble to imagine what the end would be (remember the twist of the story...)

I liked this, but it was one of those that I kept wandering away from. Maybe it was just my mood at the time or maybe it was the main setting making me uncomfortable. Whatever the reason, I found it difficult to lose myself in the story.

Signing up to make porn films as a way of making money and getting laid is a reasonable premise for 27yo medical intern Ryan. I just found it difficult to accept - bashful, inexperienced boy (despite his age Ryan is a boy) is going to be able to get it up in front of an audience? Obviously the answer is yes and I can think my way to understanding, but I had to think about it and question because it wasn't really addressed in the writing. Or maybe I just didn't pick up on that.

I found the ending rather confusing in places as well. Again that might be because I wasn't deeply into the story.

Quick read, yes, but considering I read it straight through, barely stopping to eat, I'd say that's not a bad thing.

This book basically had everything I like. Sassy characters, who are on a level with each other - while one of them was generally on top or in control of their games, their relationship was equal. I like that. The plot, too, or more importantly, the threat that started to emerge halfway through the book, was well done, and I really didn't expect the villian to be who they were. In fact, I guessed it to be someone else, who would have been equally as shocking, but I was wrong. And the reveal made sense too.

And there's nothing better than a bottom who knows exactly what he wants from his lover, and is more than capable of getting it. :D So much fun.

This was a fantastic book. I loved the witty dialog and repartee between the two heroes. There was wonderful suspense, mystery, some comedy thrown in there, and a little vampire awesomeness to give extra spice.

Really wonderful. I will definitely be collecting all of Willa Okati's books in my TBR pile.

I didn't expect this to be good when I started it and was I surprised. There was a real plot, real emotions and real (supernatural) characters. It was fun and not just sex. So glad for that. Nice for a quick read.

DNF. I stopped at 50%. Not my cup of tea. I couldn't get into the story. It was weird. The characters did nothing for me.
