'Opinions are like arseholes - everybody has one'
James Blunt, 6 December 2014

Once upon a time, James Blunt's most enduring legacy was a three-minute, thirty-second pop song about a girl he saw on the underground, and a nation's worth of abuse. But with the invention of Twitter, James found his real voice, and with it, the chance to reply with a simple 'up yours'. Now the King of Twitter has ascended to the heady heights of occasionally 'winning the internet'.

Selected and introduced by James himself, this is a year in the life of the world's most reluctant social media sensation. Now learn for yourself how to be a complete and utter Blunt . . .

I bought this a bit ago because I’m a big James Blunt fan (much to the chagrin of my friends) and I heard he was funny when not writing sad songs. This is a bunch of his tweets and replies compiled into a book. I don’t have Twitter, so this was all new time me. He was surprisingly funny in a self-deprecating, crass way. It seems he can bring someone to tears by his lyrics and his sharp comebacks.

This is a really fun little compilation of James Blunt’s very best Twitter replies. I like James Blunt (not that I’d ever tell him for fear of being sworn at 😅😉) and I like how he’s turned the tide because he’s had so much stick since he became a singer that it’s honestly shameful, so I’m glad he can now take it on the chin and give as good as he gets, without being cruel.

This is genuinely fun. He’s a really funny, decent guy even if he is a posh twat.

Okay, so it's just highlights from a Twitter feed, but it's fantastic highlights for a really fucking great Twitter feed. Blunt's Twitter Persona won so many people over. And with good reason. Relive the magic or learn for the first time right here. A modern-day hero.

Got to page 7 before I could not breathe from laughing so hard. Fact. This collection of tweets and replies is epic. Only wish there was more content in there cause this only takes about 15mins to get through.

I would love JB to write an actual book. With full sentences and everything. I suspect it would be brilliant. Also, full disclosure: I have some of his albums. Yes, he’s has more than one.

Just a celebrity cash-in, good as a stocking filler, but won't take you more than half an hour to get through. Quite a lot of the same joke. There are a couple that are laugh out loud but that's it.

Absolutely hilarious! I love that he can take the mick out of himself. Honestly it was such a quick and easy read - I couldn’t stop laughing! Well worth a read if you want a good belly laugh! And I absolutely love James Blunt that much, that I just bought tickets to see him in Feb, can’t wait!

This is a very funny, laugh out loud read, a perfect pick me up! I found James’ witty and sometime downright rude responses to his twitter trolls very amusing! This is a brilliant compilation of his best comebacks.

Fabulously funny and oftentimes outrageously rude - this is the perfect little pick me up for when a good belly-laugh is much needed!

You don't need to enjoy James' music to enjoy this read. A master of a quick comeback and self-deprecating humour. A wickedly funny read. Avoid if profanities offend - ribald laughter if they don't. If you want to temper the audacity of James' wit - watch the clip for "Monsters" - it is most certainly a leveller.

It was okay, just not great. Didn’t read well on a Kindle either. A few chuckles here and there. I admire him for challenging tweets.

In the mid-2000s, whoever would have guessed that the doe-eyed male singer with the tremulous voice of [*checks notes*] a lost and lonely angel would one day be reborn as the sassiest wise-cracking badass bitch on Twitter?

This nonlinear collection of James Blunt's Greatest Tweets is frequently laugh out loud and Blunt is always en pointe with his ripostes: I still wonder if people bait him deliberately just for the bragging rights of having been dissed on Twitter by James Blunt.

This is a great "read on the toilet" book; although as it's quite short, there's a danger that you could just stay in there for hours, reading on to the end. It also contains a sweet tweet in loving memory of Blunt's good friend Carrie Fisher and a truly beautiful tribute to the late Keith Flint of The Prodigy.

It's James Blunt's tweets, in book form. Had some time to kill in the library and shot through it in about half an hour. Pretty funny self-deprecating (and often sexually explicit) snapbacks to haters and trolls. Worth leafing through if you come across it... or just follow him on Twitter.

I’m amazed at James Blunt rn because I don’t think I would be able to withstand so many mean tweets as he does. We just got a glimpse in a celebrity life, and even if I am not one I totally agree on one thing : Twitter arbor the worse of humanity. Thanks James for making me laugh with your witty answer.

A fun little read. This is basically a selection of Blunty's tweets, nothing else. Took me 20 minutes to read it. Glad I didn't pay £12.99 for it!

😆 How to be a complete and utter Blunt 😆

I read this in less than an hour!!! Hilarious and like the last book I read, perfect for 2020 and perfect if you’re in a reading rut like me, it held my interest.

James Blunt has collated only a handful of his funniest tweets from the past year and bound them to create a book. I decided to take photos of the tweets I liked the most and found myself taking a photo of nearly every page. I have included some of these photos if you swipe across.

Absolutely hilarious and I would 100% buy this as a coffee table book. Go follow James on Twitter and buy this book!!! I’m also a little afraid of him on Twitter so maybe I won’t mention him on there. Somehow he finds you even if you don’t tag him.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I think this is the shortest book I’ve ever read (I finished it within half an hour) but that doesn’t stop it from being entertaining.
I have seen some of James Blunt’s tweets before, but having some of them compiled into a book is even more entertaining than reading them when I come across them.
James has a dry and sarcastic sense of humour, and when it comes to being insulted by members of the public, he seems to know exactly what to say to both make it seem like he’s not bothered and get one over on the person tweeting. No one is safe, he even insults Piers Morgan when he’s having an argument with someone else.
I actually think he could have included more tweets and made a longer book and it would have just got better and better. I love the self deprecating sense of humour that he has over his music, and the fact that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. The only thing that let this book down was how short it was, I think there could have been so many more tweets in it.
Fingers crossed that James Blunt decides to make another compilation of his tweets in the future, I would definitely be buying that book after having read this one!

I absolutely adore James Blunt for his music and his wit. My sister and I see him live every time he comes to Australia. He has such a strong stage presence and is always cracking jokes.

When I saw Hachette was publishing a book full of his tweets, I was eager to get my hands on it. It did not disappoint. It’s a collection of James Blunt’s tweets over the course of a year. I laughed, groaned, scrunched up my nose in disgust. He is absolutely brutal when retweeting fans and people making fun of him. But most of the time he just takes the piss out of himself.

This one is definitely not for the faint-hearted as James can be very sexual and crude and some of the jokes horrified me just a little! But overall I really enjoyed it. It’s a great gift for a James Blunt lover!

If you're not a James Blunt fan that's okay, I won't judge you but if you have seen him on Twitter you will know he is a man of many words and he has been winning the internet battle for years!

Okay so he wrote that song about a girl he saw in the underground in 2005 which you either loved or hated with a passion.
If you're of the latter maybe you took to Twitter to voice your opinion. If he responded I guarantee you were left speechless and thinking of how to up your game.

James alo wrote a song of apology in 2017 called "2005". I highly recommend it for the haters. He also spent six years in the military before his singing career took off and he used to take a camera around battle grounds with him. Check him out on YouTube driving a tank.

Anyway if you're after a funny little read why not pick up a book of a years worth of the funniest comeback tweets from James Blunt?
The dedication alone is worth it I promise.

This book has left me with quite the conundrum. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting rid of my Twitter account. I know it’s the risk you take with all social media platforms but I genuinely feel like Twitter is mostly just full of hatred, and things that make me anxious. However, the silver lining of Twitter is definitely James Blunt. His tweets are hilarious and often self deprecating rather than perpetuating the aggression and rudeness he often receives.

I know he’s a bit of a Marmite figure but this collection of his best tweets is definitely the thing you need if you ever want a pick me up.

Hilarious! Yes, I paid for this book. Yes, I will keep it on my shelves at home.

I'm sure people wondered what the heck I was reading in my car that had me laughing out loud at the school pick up.
If you're having a shitty day and need a smile this is worth carrying about and reading little posts at a time, but I read it in a sitting cause it was just funny and made me smile.

Yeah, I know that I could join Twitter and read it all for free there, but honestly I don't need the rest of the crap I'll find there.

A funny laugh out loud collection of his Twitter put downs.

It's not War and Peace, but doesn't pretend to be. A hilarious quick read which I thoroughly recommend if you're having a bad day.

I just love this guy so much! As much as he is mocked by many, he is adored by many more. He can use social media to give two fingers up to the haters but it’s all in jest. It really does make you think about how you post online and the effect it has on others too. The guy is funny and he wrote a good song once....I joke, I’m a big fan but well done blunty for making me laugh when I truly needed it

This was a compilation of James Blunt’s best Twitter comebacks at his haters. Witty, full of sarcasm and burn, it was a hilarious read trolling his haters with just below 140 characters.

Overestimated the time I needed with the book, but it was good enough for 20 minutes of British humor and a light-hearted distraction.
