Viktor Frankl survived Nazi concentration camps when his parents, brother and pregnant wife died. He wrote, “Those who have a ‘why’ to live can bear with almost any ‘how.’” It’s easy to blame the doctor, the hospital or God, but we must beware the hardening of the attitudes that is more fatal than the hardening of the arteries. Negative thoughts seep from our brain to our body. An angry person is full of poison. We need a bigger WHY. A magnet can’t have a negative pole without a positive. In this book you’ll find a satisfying answer to the big why in your life, and that’s just the first chapter! Chapter 2 offers the highest possible reward in life and chapter 3 is how you can avoid serious loss in the near future. Preface by J.B. Phillips who translated the NT. Satisfaction Guaranteed.
Really useful and powerful book that everyone should read
Dr. Richard Ruhling, a well-known pysician, guides us in this path of help and awareness with extreme professionalism and clarity. Analysis on God, death, rich in historical references and biblical analyzes, teaches us to seek the truth that is not given to us by the mainstream media. Full of useful information from health to nutrition, nature, human relationships, global warming, atheism and marriage. Dr. Richard Ruhling seems like a really good person trying to help others. I really recommend reading this book, a great help for anyone who needs some clarity in a world that clouds our vision. I loved the quotes from Viktor Frankl, one of my favorite writers.
The Big Why & Beyond is an excellent book about our relationship with God. It goes on to give an explanation of why God lets bad things happen to good people (The problem of evil) and all parts of our faith. Amazing detail is provided and specific bible quotes are given to back up the claims that he makes. My favorite chapter was about Egypt and how it compares to the U.S., it is a super thought provoking chapter and I had to reread it to really understand just how profound the comparison is. Overall, I definitely recommend it.
